dior exquis (holiday 2011)

i was absent due to very unfortunate personal reasons, but the situation is improving and i am trying to go back to my routines. my polish of choice for this occasion is one of my first high end polishes, gorgeous exquis from dior's holiday 2011 collection. other polishes here were or divin, mervielle and apparat (that i wish i owned)

exquis is a very rich and complex shade. it is somewhere between olive green and brown, with a lot of gold shimmer running around. it's one of those edgy but classy polishes.

formula is great, but unfortunately, i got a weirdly cut brush. still workable, though, just making life more difficult.

new world purple, takođe poznat kao aztec chocolate, je dior lak iz njihove kolekcije za jesen 2010, nail bar.

new world purple, otherwise known as aztec chocolate, is dior polish from their autumn 2010 collection nail bar.

promo slika prikazuje new world purple mnogo više ljubičastim nego što on to jeste. ovo je kompleksna nijansa, hladna braon sa ljubičastim podtonom i puno šimera. i to ne standardni skriveni dior šimer!

odavno je povučen i drago mi je da imam svoj primerak. formula je nešto tanja, ali je toliko lep da mi nije teško da to oprostim.

prirodna svetlost:

the promo picture shows new purple more, well, purple than it actually is. it's a complex shade, a cool brown with purple undertones and a lot of shimmer. not that dior hiddens shimer, but the real deal.

it's discontinued, and i am happy i have it in my collection. the formula is a bit thin, but it's so pretty that i can forgive it pretty much everything.

dior sailor (transat)

dior uvek ima zanimljivi lak u prolećnoj kolekciji za krstarenja, a sailor je moj favorit iz transat kolekcije iz 2014.

dior always comes out with an interesting "cruise" type of collection, and sailor was my favourite from transat collection in 2014.

sailor je prelep lak. uvek me privuku kobaltno plave nijanse, pa ni njemu nisam odolela. lak je živahan, između kreme i jelly, savršen za leto.

formula je takože pristojna, s dva sloja dovoljna za pokrivenost.

prirodna svetlost:

sailor is such a pretty polish. i have a soft spot for these cobalt blue sort of shades. it is a vibrant crelly, perfect for the summer.

formula is also decent, two coats for the full opacity.

dior bleuette (glowing gardens)

dior-ova ovogodišnja prolećna kolekcija, glowing gardens, ima par lepotana, a jedan od njih je bleuette.

this year's spring collection from dior, glowing gardens, had a couple of interesting polishes. one of them is bleuette.

bleuette je savršenstvo. prelepa plava krema, na granici da bude pastel. nijansa je baby plava sa trunkom zelene, sasvim dovoljnom da ga napravi (potpuno) različitim od prošlogodišnjeg porceelaine. ne znam da li mi je lepši na suncu ili u hladu.

ovaj lak ima fantastičnu formulu, potpunii netipičnu za ovakve nijanse. dior lakovi su me potpuno impresionirali od kad su reformulisani.

prirodna svetlost:

bleuette is a stunner. a gorgeous blue creme, bordering on being pastel.it is a baby blue with a hint of green in it, just enough to make it (completely) different from last year's porcelaine. i don't know if i like it more in the sun or in the shade.

it has a magnificent formula, totally untypical for these sort of shades. i am really impressed by dior polishes since they got reformulated.

gris montaigne is a really gorgeous grey from dior's old 2011 collection, gris city.

gris montaigne je savršen lak! nema veze koliko ga puta slikam, uvek ispadne tamniji nego uživo. takođe, ovo je jedna od najsivljih sivih koje posedujem, bez skoro nimalo plavog podtona ali sam odustala (za sad) od pokušavanja da ga uhvatim tačno.

boja je vrlo duboka i zasićena, a iako je stari lak, formula je savršena.

gris montaigne is so so gorgeous. whenever i took pictures of it, it turned out to look darker than it really is. also, it is one of the truest grey shades i have, with almost no blue undertone, but i gave up on trying to get it right.

the colour is very saturated, and even though it's old, formula is dreamy.

moj prvi instinkt je bio da preskočim celu kolekciju, ali metropolis je stvarno lak po mom ukusu.

na mojim slikama je blago tamniji nego kako izgleda uživo. nikad nisam verovala da će postojati lak koji je istovremeno i zelen i siv, ali na moju sreću, dior ga je napravio!

formula je besprekorna i lak zaista savršen. možda izgleda kao jednostavna nijansa, ali je tako dubok i lep. definitivno ima moju preporuku.

my first instinct was to ignore the entire collection, but metropolis was really screaming my name.

my pictures are slightly darker than what it looks like in real life. i never knew that there will ever be a polish that's at the same time green and grey, but, to my joy, dior made it!

the formula is flawless and the polish just so gorgeous.  it might look like a simple shade, but it is so deep and pretty.  it definitely has my recommendation.

gris trianon je jedini lak koji nije roze u dior-ovoj cherry bow kolekciji za proleće 2012.

gris trianon is the only non-pink polish in dior's cherie bow collection for spring 2012.

obožavam dior-ove sive lakove i izgleda da ne mogu da im odolim. ovaj je doduše više "greige", odnosno, negde između sive i bež, i zaista izgleda lepo na noktima.

formula je besprekorna i zaista ne mogu da mu nađem manu. lakovi ovog tipa su mi uvek izbor kad hoću da se osećam malo ozbiljnijom ;)

i love dior's grey polishes and it seems like i can't resist them. this one is more of a greige, a combination of grey and beige, and it looks really pretty on nails.

the formula is flawless and there is nothing to complain about. i love wearing polishes like this when i feel like i want to be a bit more serious.

dior porcelaine (trianon)

danas je na redu prelepi porcelaine iz dior-ove kolekcije trianon za proleće 2014.

zaista sam se radovala ovom laku. nijansa je prelepa svetlo plava u koju sam poslednje vreme postala zaljubljenik.

iskreno, očekivala sam lošu formulu, tako da sam se baš prijatno iznenadila. prilično je samoizjednačujuć sa vrlo malo vidljivih poteza četkice. prvi sloj mi je bio normalne debljine, dok je drugi bio malo deblji i time sam dobila odličnu pokrivenost. definitivno odličan izbor.

senka:

i was really looking forward to this polish. it is a really pretty light blue shade that i've lately became a big fan of.

i expected a terrible formula, to be honest, and got pleasantly surprised. it is quite self leveling and with little streaking. i went one normal and second thicker coat, and got great coverage. definitely a great buy.

dior sunwashed (tie dye)

tie dye je najnovija dior limitirana kolekcija za leto, a sunwashed je moj jedini izbor.

tie dye is dior's limited edition for the summer, and sunwashed is my only pick.

žuti lakovi su mi slaba tačka, ali obično biram one sa jačim mango podtonom. zbog toga, ova nijansa, meka, limunkasta žuta je definitivno jedinstvena u mojoj kolekciji.

nisam imala neke specijalne probleme u mazanju. nije da je lak sa najboljom formulom, ali nema vidljivih poteza ćetkicom. tu je i poznati dior-ov mikrošimer. rekla bih da sam već previše pocrnela za ovu nijansu, ali sam se ipak navikla na njega.

i do have a soft spot for yellow polishes, but i usually opt for those with more mango undertones. therefore, this one, a soft, lemony yellow, is something unique in my collection.

i had no particular problems applying it. granted, it's not the polish with a smoothest formula, but i didn't experience any brushstrokes. there is some of that hidden micro shimmer that dior is known for. i think my skin is already a bit to tanned for this shade, but i grown used to it.

danas pokazujem moj prvi high end lak, dior or tsarine (alternativno ime je czarina gold). bio je deo trija holiday 2010 kolekcije uz timeless gold i rouge garconne.

today i'm showing my first high end polish, dior's or tsarine (also known as czarina gold). it was a part of the holiday 2010 collection, together with timeless gold and rouge garconne.

kao što rekoh, ovo je moj prvi he lak tako da je baš čudno da ga tek sad pokazujem. našla sam neke stare slike i stvarno su bile loše :) iako je izašao pred kraj 2010, kupila sam ga u junu 2012. obigravala sam oko njega mesecima, pomalo uplašena od toga šta će se dogoditi kada pređem na mračnu starnu. nakon jednog padanja vozačkog ispita, trebalo mi je malo dobrog raspoloženja i prestala sam da se opirem!

iz ove perspektive mi je drago da sam počela sa njim, jer je zaista moj tip laka. u pitanju je bogata tamno braon baza puna krupnog, gotovo staklastog zlatnog šimera i dobre formule.

as i said, it was my first he polish so it's funny i waited so long to show it. i found some old swatches, they were really horrible :)  even though it was from the end of 2010, i bought it in june 2012. i was circling around it for so long, a bit scared of what would happen when i cross to the dark side. one failed driving test later, in a need of a pick-me-up, i stopped resisting!

in the hindsight, i am happy i stared with this one, because it really is my type of polish. a dark brown, rich base with large, almost glass flaky golden shimmer and good formula..

dior's rock your nails collection from 2011 was full of hits, and one of them is definitely purple mix.

ovo je jedan iz moje kolekcije zvane "lakovi za ozbiljne prilike". u pitanju je prelepa, zadimljena ali ipak topla ljubičasta. formula je beskprekorna.

this is one of the shades in my "serious polishes" range. it is a pretty, smoky but warm purple.the formula is flawless.

posle fudbalske pauze, danas uspeh da nađem vremena za blog, ali sledi još jedna pauza jer idem na put.

kada je ova kolekcija izašla, još uvek nisam bila u high end lakoholičarskim vodama, ali mi je brzo postalo jasno da mi je žao što sam propustila waterlilly. na sreću, prošlog leta sam ulovila usamljenu, zalutalu bočicu.

nijansa je više pastelna i mint od mojih često zastupljenih zelembaća, ali je baš to i čini više jedinstvenom u mojoj neverovatno zelenoj kolekciji. mikrošimer je prelep i gušći nego obično, čineći završnicu skoro iridescentnom. volim ovaj lak, baš je nekako prolećni.

when this collection came out, i still wasn't into high end nailpolishes, but i quickly realized i really wanted this one. luckily, last year i managed to find one lonely bottle!

it is more pastel and minty than my typically favourite green shades, but this is what makes it unique in my overwhelmingly green stash. the microshimmer is gorgeous and denser than usually, making it almost iridescent. i really love this one, it so springy and fun!

dior mystic magnetic (mystic metallics)

dior-ov mystic magnetic je njihov prvi magnetni lak iz jesenje mystic metallic kolekcije, uz galaxie i destin.

dior's mystic magnetic is their first magnetic polish, from the autumn mystic metallic collection, together with galaxie and destin.

moram da priznam, da kad sam uzela ovaj lak, namera mi je bila da ga nosim takvog kakav jeste, bez mučenja s magnetom. boja me je očarala, kombinacija sive i dimno plave. to što je magnetni ga čini dosta pigmentovanim, pravi je jednoslojac ali uz dobru formulu. slike bez magneta su na dnu stranice.

kasnije sam postala radoznala po pitanju magnetnog efekta. prvi put sam pratila uputstva: jedan sloj laka, pa još jedan sloj nokat po nokat, uz držanje magneta vrlo blizu površine 20ak sekundi. ispalo je ok, ali sam bila ubeđena da je i jedan sloj dovoljan, tako da su slike iz tog testa, tj. sa samo jednim slojem.

čak i za smotanu mene, magnet je bio jednostavan za upotrebu i efekat mi je odličan. trudila sam se da uhvatim sićušne holo čestice, ali su blago vidljive samo na par slika pod direktnim suncem.

senka:

i have to admit, when i got this polish, my only intention was to wear it as it is, without bothering with the magnet. i was mesmerized by the colour, a combination of grey and smoking blue. the fact that it's magnetic means it's very pigmented, so a true one coater, but the application was really easy. these pictures are at the bottom of the page.

then, i got curious about the magnetic effect. the first time i did it according to the instructions: one layer of polish, than after putting another coat on each nail, i held the magnet close to the nail for 20ish seconds. it turned out ok, but i got pretty convinced one coat was enough, so the pictures i'm showing are with one coat.

even for me (i am really clumsy) this was easy to use and i like the effect. i tried so hard to capture tiny holo particles, but they are just barely visible on the direct sunlight photos.

dior saint tropez (croisette)

dior-ov saint tropez se prvo pojavio kao vrlo, vrlo limitirano izdanje 2011. za otvaranje njihovog butika u gradu po kom je dobio ime. pošto je lak privukao mnogo pažnje, rešili su da ga ponovo izbace kao deo croissete dua, zajedno sa riviera-om, za leto 2012, mada ponovo kao limitiran.

dior's saint tropez appeared as a really, really limited edition polish for the opening of the dior's store in the city it got it's name from in 2011. because it turned out to be so popular, it was released again in the croisette collection for the summer of 2012, together with riviera, but again as a le polish.

skoro da sam digla ruke da ću ga nabaviti, pre skoro godinu dana, jedna od lakoholičarki s foruma mi je uspela da ga ulovi (c, hvala još jednom!)

po mom mišljenju, vrlo je jasno zašto je ovaj lak toliko popularan. boja je tirkizna, konkretno, tiffany plava sa kapljicom zelene, uz dior-ov poznati, jedva vidljivi mikrošimer. iako sam samo prošla kroz st tropez, jasno mi je odakle inspiracija.

formula je takođe odlična, ravnomerna sa lakim nanošenjem. iako ima dosta morski plavih lakova, ovaj ipak ima "to nešto" po čemu se izdvaja, i dobila sam baš dosta komplimenata za njega. čini mi se da izgleda bolje na kraćim noktima.

i almost gave up on getting it, but, as usual, one of the girls from my nail polish forum managed to get it for me almost a year ago (c. thanks again!)

if you ask me, it is really obvious why this polish is so popular. the colour is turquoise (in this case, tiffany blue with a drop of green), with the dior's famous, barely noticeable microshimmer. i've just passed through st tropez, but i can see the inspiration here.

the formula is also great, self-leveling and easy to apply. even though there are so many aqua blue polishes, this one has that special spark, and i really got a lot of compliments for this one, and i think it looks better on shorter nails.

dior galaxie 992 (mystic metallics)

dior-ova jesenja kolekcija se sastoji iz dva "mystic metallics" laka, destin (koji nije moja šoljica čaja) i zvezde današnjeg posta, galaxie; uz dodatak dior magnetnog prvenca, mystic magnetic.

dior's autumn collection consists out of two "mystic metallics" polishes, destin (not my cup of tea) and today's star, galaxie; together with their first attempt at magnetic polishes, mystic magnetic.

galaxie je savršen lak za hladne zimske dane, koji mi potpuno neočekivano nedostaju ove godine koju provodim u toplijoj klimi. podseća me na ušuškane zimske večeri, u nečijem zadimljenom stanu sa drugarima i kuvanim vinom. ah, udari me nostalgija!

nijansa je prelepa, bogata burgundy-šljivasta, sa divnim, gustim šimerom koji ga čini gotovo metalik lakom. nanošenje, formula i pokrivenost su baš onakvi kakve volim, tako da nemam na šta da se požalim!

galaxie is the perfect polish for cold, winter days that i seem to (unexpectedly) miss this year that i'm spending in a warmer climate. it reminds me of cosy winter nights, spent indoors with friends,  mulled wine and smoke. ah, i'm getting homesick!

the colour is so rich, burgundy-ish plum, with gorgeous dense shimmer that makes the polish borderline metallic. application, consistency and brush are just as i like it, so nothing to complain about there.

dior spring ball 343 (sparkling shine )

već sam nosila (i oduševila se) diablotine i delice iz dior-ove sparkling shine kolekcije kad sam se odlučila da im dodam i spring ball, tako da sam preskočila samo princess.


ovo su prve slike sa moje nove lokacije, dok sam bila u potrazi za mestom za fotografisanje.

dvoumila sam se oko ovog laka jer obično ne nosim ovakve boje, ali nijansa je ista kao kod mojih najženstvenijih cvetnih letnjih pantalona pa sam pomislila da bi bili dobra kombinacija, i bila sam u pravu.

zaista se ne osećam prijatno sa ovim nijansama bilo na noktima ili u garderobi, ovo je veliki iskorak od mog standarda, ali dior me je potpuno očarao ovim šećernim bojama. spring ball je negde između koralne i breskvaste nijanse, pun srebrnkastog sitnog šimera. suptilniji je nego što sam očekivala, tako da se nisam osećala čudno dok sam ga nosila. kao što možete videti, ovo leto koje kod mene i dalje traje me je učinilo potpuno tamnoputom, a sigurna sam da bi mi ovaj lak bolje "legao" da imam svoj zimski bledi ten.

formula i aplikacija su bili prilično dobri, malo je gušći ali zbog pimera klizi kao puter. slike su napravljene u senci jer su mi tako slike bile vernije prirodi. poslednja je pod direktnim suncem pa je boja malo isprana.

i was a bit skeptical if this polish really is my cup of tea, but the shade was the same as my girlyest flowery summer trousers i own, and thought they would be a good match. i have to say it was a good choice.

i really don't feel comfortable wearing those colours both on nails or having them in my closet, it's way out my comfort zone, but dior did something to me with those sugary shades that made me so enchanted by them.  spring ball is somewhere between coral and peach shimmery cuteness. it is subtler than i expected, so i didn't feel that weird having it on my nails. as you can see, this neverending summer made me quite tanned, and i'm pretty sure i will like it more if i ever get back to my pale, winter skintone.

formula ad application were pretty good, it is on the thicker side  but the shimmer really makes it flow. the pictures were made in shade, because i found the color to be more faithfull this way. the last one is under direct sun so you can see that it's a bit washed up.

dior samba (birds of paradise)

za ovo leto, dior je osmislio dva seta po dva laka u birds of paradise kolekciji. dok me set baia nije preterano zanimao, drugi set po imenu samba sadrži boje za koje sam znala da ću ih voleti a da ih ni ne vidim uživo, tako da sam bila srećna da sam ga uhvatila na poslednjem putovanju.

for this summer, dior came up with two sets of polishes in the birds of paradise collection. while i had no interest in getting bahia, the other set called samba consists of colors that i know i'll love even without seeing them in real life, and i'm happy that i got it in my latest trip.

today, it's time for samba 794.

samba 794 je opisana kao "metalik peacock (paun) zelena", ali je, po meni, više petrolej koji naginje ka plavoj. nijansa je stvarno prelepa i uživo je mnogo interesantniji nego na slikama. šimer je divan i daje mu nekakav unutrašnji sjaj a duohrom efekat ume da povuče i na zlatkasto.

bočica je manja nego kod regularnih dior lakova (7 ml). i četkica je drugačija, ima istu širinu kao standardna ali je ravna, što je plus za one koji ne vole regularno sečenu dior četkicu (ja je, inače, obožavam). posle jednog sloja je pomalo proziran, ali sa dva se dobija savršena pokrivenost. postoji i poneki vidljivi potez četkice, ali nisu izraženi.

oduševljena sam ovom nijansom i mislim da je savršena za leto!

samba 794 is described as "metallic peacock green", but it is more of a teal going on blue. it really is gorgeous and pictures don't do it justice. the shimmer is amazing and gives it a bit of a glow, and the duochrome effect can make it look even goldish.


the bottle is smaller than for the regular dior polish (7 ml). the brush is a bit different too, it has the same width, but it is flat, so this is a plus for those of you who don't like the regularly cut dior brush (i actually love the standard one). it is a bit sheer with one coat, but the second one gives complete coverage. there are some visible brush strokes, but they are subtle.

i love this polish and i think it's great for the summer!

dior delice 433 (sparkling shine)

da, nisam mogla da odolim tako da sam uzela i delice iz Dior Addict Gloss Le Vernis kolekcije. diablotine me je već oduševio, pa nisam mogla da odolim da uzmem poslednju bočicu delice u parfimeriji. ovde pada kiša već tri dana, ali nisam više mogla da čekam da ga probam, pa iako su boje na slikama verne, moguće da ću ih zameniti kada ga budem nosila na sunčanom danu.

yup, i succumbed and got delice from Dior Addict Gloss Le Vernis collection. i was so impressed by diablotine, and just couldn't miss the opportunity to get the last one at my regular drugstore. it's been raining for the last three days but i couldn't wait to try it. even though the colors are faithful, i may exchange these photos once i make them on a more sunny day.

delice je moj prvi skok u koralce. dok diablotine naginje ka crvenom delu koralnog spektra, delice ide ka narandžastom. boja je vrlo živahna, sa roze, breskvastim i srebrnim šimerom. mislim da je ovo savršen lak za sunčane letnje dane.

formula je stvarno odlična, bez ikakvih problema pri mazanju i zamalo je jednoslojac. ponovo, kao kod diablotine, sam po sebi nema neki visoki sjaj, tako da preporučujem nadlak.

prirodna svetlost:

delice is my first jump into the coral shades. while diablotine leans toward the red part of the coral spectrum, delice goes to the orange. it's a very vibrant color, with pink, peach and silver shimmer. it's a perfect shade for those sunny summer days.

formula was top notch,  no problems with the application and it's practically a one-coater. again, as in the case of diablotine, it doesn't have a high shine on its on, so the top coat is recommended.

najnovija diorova kolekcija je Dior Addict Gloss Le Vernis. zar nisu sva četiri laka preslatka? izabrala sam 643 diablotine, i morala sam odmah da ga namažem, iako je i dalje hladno i snežno.

the most recent collection on dior's shelves is Dior Addict Gloss Le Vernis. aren't these four such cuties? i chose 643 diablotine, and had to wear it instantly, even though it's still cold and snowy.

diablotine je vrlo živ koralac sa intenzivnim crvenim podtonom. zlatni šimer u njemu mi je predivan, i u pravoj meri za moj ukus. prilično pozitivno sam iznenađena formulom, maže se bez ikakvih problema, i jednoslojac je. za potrebe fotografisanja i probe imam dva, ali je drugi bio nepotreban.

osušio se prilično brzo i svideo mi se sjaj kog ima, iako nije baš high gloss, pa sam rešila da preskočim nadlak. prezadovoljna sam ovom nijansom!

diablotine is a really vivid coral with a strong red undertone. the goldish shimmer in it is just stunning, and in just the right amount for my taste. i am pleasantly surprised with formula, it's so easy to work with it, and it is a one-coater, i have two coats on the pictures, but it really wasn't necessary.

it dried pretty fast and had a nice shine on its own, not really a glossy finish but, since it looked nice to me, i decided to skip the topcoat. oh, it is such a beauty, isn't it!

dior trench is part of dior's nude collection for fall 2012, together with charnelle, grege and dune. from dior: "the flagship model on dior runways, revisited in hues of rosewood spiced with a touch of beige: captivating elegance".

kada sam potrošila essence walk of fame pre nekoliko meseci, iz nekog razloga ga nisam zamenila drugim blatnjavkom. imala sam dilemu da li da uzmem chanel particuliere ili trench, pošto su prilično slični. ipak, sam se odlučila za trench, jer mi je dior formula generalno savršena.

boja je prelepa blatnjava braon krema i podseća me na milkšejk od čokolade :D formula i aplikacija su standardno savršeni, potpuna pokrivenst se dobija iz dva sloja sa visokim sjajem.

somehow, when i finished up my essence walk of fame sometime ago, i didn't get another muddy polish to replace it. i was in a dilemma whether to get chanel particuliere or trench, since they are quite similar if not dead on dupes. since i actually prefer dior to chanel, i made perfect choice.

this is a beautiful taupe brown creme that reminds me of chocolate milkshakes :D i can't even describe how amazing the formula and application are, it is opaque in two coats with glossy finish.
