chanel provocation (fashion night out 2012)

chanel's provocation originally appeared in their fashion night out collection for 2012 (with infidele, the one that got away for me), but it was  brought back as a part of the permanent line.

it is a gorgeous, gorgeous plum shade. of course, the colour is a bit more complex than that, it has some brown undertones and dries a bit darker than in the bottle.

the first coat is a bit sheer but it builds up nicely with the second one. it a classy but not boring sort of polish.

chanel vertigo (les essentials de chanel)

it's about time i showed chanel vertigo, a part of chanel's fall 2012 trio, together with frenzy and suspicios (hitchcock, anyone?)  . 

it is a very complicated shade. it is dark, plummy brownish and greyish at the same time, i am pretty sure it looks different on different skin tones. in addition, it has that typical chanel hidden shimmer, when there is just enough of it for it not to be a creme. it is an elegant shade that i actually wore to my phd defense almost 4 years ago.

formula is decent. i am not a fan of chanel brush, it's too thin for my taste so i kind of stopped buying them lately because of this, but if you are happy with it, it's great. 

chanel blue rebel (les jeans)

it's been ages since i swatched two out of three chanel polishes from ancient but awesome les jeans collection back in 2011, and it's time i showed blue rebel as well. other two polishes were equally awesome coco blue and blue boy.

this collection was supposed to be jeans inspired, and this polish emulates your basic dark, slightly washed out pair beautifully. it is the darkest blue out of the trio, but still too light to be called navy. more like a deep denim shade. it is awesome, well pigmented and with good formula.

i am sure that by now there are plenty of dupes out there, but i am simply happy i have this one.

chanel gondola (venice)

gondola je bila deo chanel dua za jesen 2009, zajedno sa lakom intermezzo.

gondola is was a part of the chanel's duo for fall 2009,  together with intermezzo.

gondola je zaista klasična nijansa. bordo sa roze podtonom, i sa šimerom jačim od tipičnog, skrivenog chanel šimera. uspela sam da nađem izgubljenu bočicu u parfimeriji pre par gpdina.

formula je solidna, nemam nikakvih prigovora. ako ga nađete, slobodno ga uzmite.

prirodna svetlost:

gondola is truly a classic shade. a pink leaning burgundy, with a stronger shimmer than what we are used to from chanel. i managed to get a forgotten bottle in a shop a few years ago.

formula is solid, nothing to complain about. if you find it, go for it!

chanel misterious (superstition)

superstition je bila chanel jesenja kolekcija još 2013 i ne znam kako se desilo da sam ovoliko čekala da pokažem misterious .

superstition was chanel's autumn collection back in 2013, and i have no idea why i waited to show misterious until now.

misterious je opisan kao "duboka maslinasta" ali bih to duboko nazvala vrlo, vrlo dubokim.

nijansa je više zacrnjena maslinasta sa sivim i braon podtonovima.  pitanju je lepo klizeća krema, veoma elegantna i lepa.

prirodna svetlost:

misterious was described as a "deep khaki", but i would call that deep very, very deep.

it is more like a quite blackened olive green with some grey and brown undertones. a nicely flowing creme, very elegant and pretty.

chanel rose fusion (vamp attitude)

pošto je ovaj post najverovatnije poslednji za ovu godinu, rešila sam da izaberem baš poseban lak, i mislim da je rose fusion iz chanel-ove praznične kolekcije vamp attitude pravi izbor.

since this is probably my last post of the year, i wanted to finish it with a very special polish,and i believe that rose fusion from chanel's holiday collection called vamp attitude is just that.

 

moram priznati da bih ga verovatno preskočila da nije bilo slika od liv sa blushnglow bloga. bočica može da vas prevari da pomislite da je lak dosadan, a u stvari je jedan od najkomplesnijihh koje imam.

količina boja i finiša u jednoj bočici je neverovatna. kada je oblačan dan, izgleda kao prelepi duohrom koji se preliva iz ljubičaste u blatnjavu. na suncu postaje bronzikaszi metalik lak sa prelepim srebrnim šimerom.

stvarno je jedinstven i fantastičan, kao da imate drugi lak svaki put kad pogledate u nokte. pomalo se vide potezi četkice, ali nije strašno. postavila sam dosta slika jer zaista nisam mogla da oslolim.

oblačan dan:

i would have probably overlooked this one, if it wasn't for blushnglow. the botlle can fool you to think that this is a dull polish, while in reality, it is one of the most complex.

the amount of colours and finishes in one bottle is crazy. on  a cloudy day, it is a gorgeous purple to taupe duochrome, while at sun it becomes a more bronzy metallic polish with awesome silvery shimmer.

it is really unique and magnificent, as if you are wearing a different polish every time you look at your nails. the formula is a bit brushstrokey, but it's really fine. i have a lots of pictures, because i couldn't resist.

malice je bio jedini lak u chanel holiday kolekciji za 2012.

malice was the only polish in chanel's holiday collection for 2012.

 

imala sam ludu sreću da nabavim ovaj lak. ova bočica je bila bukvalno poslednja u srbiji, i dobila sam je posle grupne akcije mojih dragih lakoholičarki.

malice je zaista savršen lak za praznike. duboka bordo-crvena, puna rubin-crvenog šimera, topi srce čak i neljubitelja crvenih lakova u koje spadam i ja. izgleda bogato, i uz odličnu formulu, ima posebno mesto u mojoj kolekciji.

i was so lucky to get this polish. i literally got the last bottle in serbia, thanks to the group effort of my dear nail polish girls crew.

it truly is a perfect polish for holidays. a deep burgundy red, filled with ruby red shimmer, it even melts the hearts of red antifans like myself. it looks rich, with a great formula, and i'm really happy i have it in my stash.

nakon što sam prikazala i quartz i peridot iz chanel-ove illusions d'ombres kolekcije za jesen 2011, krajnje je vreme da prikažem i treći, graphite.

after showing quartz and peridot from chanel's illusions d'ombres collection for autumn 2011, it was about time to show the third one, graphite.

graphite je tamno srebrni lak, ali ovo je previše jednostavan način da se opiše tačna nijansa. u pitanju je metalik, folijast lak koji izgleda pomalo teksturno iako se suši potpuno glatko,

ovaj nebičan finiš mu daje dodatnu dubinu, pa u senci postaje više limen, skoro zelenkast. formula je odlična, do te mere da mi čak ni chanel četkica nije smetala.

graphite is a dark silver, but this is quite an oversimplification of its colour. it is a metallic, foily polish that looks a bit textured, while being perfectly smooth.

this unusual finish gives it more depth, so in shade it becomes more pewter-y, even greenish. formula is amazing, so much that even the chanel brush is not annoying me.

danas pokazujem moj prvi chanel lak, quartz iz llusions d'ombres kolekcije za jesen 2011.

today i am showing the first chanel polish i bought, quartz from the fall 2011 collection illusions d'ombres.

često se zapitam kako je moguće da mi je ovo prvi chanel, pogotovo kad se uzme u obzir da je quartz izašao uz peridot i graphite.

boja je vrlo interesantna, negde između bež i blatnjave, ali sa dosta raznobojnog šimera. formula je solidna. verovatno je ovo najnosiviji lak iz jeseni 2011 ali sam ja trenutno previše u zeleno/plavom raspoloženju da bi uživala u njemu.

prirodna svetlost:

i often wonder how it got to be that this is my first chanel, especially when you take into account that quartz came out with peridot and graphite.

colour is complex, somewhere between beige and taupe, but really rich in multicolored shimmer. formula is decent. it is the most wearable from fall 2011 trio and a nice shade, but i am currently in a blue and green mood so i will wear it again later in the year.

chanel mediterranee (mediterranee)

chanel nam je dao četiri laka u ovoj letnjoj kolekciji, mediterranee. kružila sam oko lavanda i terrana, ali na kraju uzela samo mediterranee. verovatno ću zažaliti što sam se ograničila samo na jednog.

chanel gave us four polishes in their summer collection, mediterranee. i was circling around lavanda and terrana, but took only mediterranee. i might be regretting taking only one.

ove tilkasto plavičaste nijanse su mi slaba tačka. teško se slikaju i izgledaju drugačije na svakoj slici, tako da su sve ove slike i tačne i netačne.

mediterranee je stvarno lepa mutna plava. nije previše upečatljiva, ali opet prelepa na noktima.

these tealish-blue shades are my soft spot. they are hard to photograph, and look different in different lighting, so all of these pictures are both accurate and inaccurate.

it is a really pretty muted blue. looks not to flashy, but still amazing on the nails. i really am a fan!

chanel vendetta (bohemian fantasy)

vreme je za klasiku, chanel vendetta is bohemian fantasy kolekcije za proleće 2009.

time for a classic, chanel vendetta from bohemian fantasy collection back in the summer 2009.

ovaj lak je toliko poznat, da mi je neobično da ga uopšte opisujem. u pitanju je tamna, zacrnjena ljubičasta sa ne toliko gustim šimerom. treba mu baš puno svetla da oživi.

do pojave taboo, nekako je postojalo mišljenje da bi bilo bolje da je malo svetliji i da ima više šimere, ali pošto imamo oba, možemo da uživamo u vendetti. usput, od svih sličnih boja koje sam imala, ovaj ima najbolju formulu.

prirodna svetlost:

this polish is so well known, that i find redundant to even write about it. it is a dark, blackened purple with the not that abundant shimmer. it really needs to be hit with light to really shine.

it used to be a popular opinion that it would benefit from being lighter or with more shimmer, but after we got taboo, it was admired from what it is. out of all the similar shades i owned over the years, this one has the best formula.

intemporel je jedini lak u chanel-ovoj prolećnoj kolekciji, l'intemporel de chanel.

intemporel is the only polish in chanel's spring collection, l'intemporel de chanel.

vrlo lako sam mogla i da ga preskočim, jer nije da mi u kolekciji fale srebrni metalik lakovi. ipak nisam odolela, jer mi je prethodna chanel kupovina bila eastern light  u july 2014.

ja zaista obožavam metalik srebrne lakove! za mene, oni su savršeni party lakovi (pogotovo što najčešće nosim crno i ne bi mi škodilo malo sjaja). ovaj nije ništa teži (ali ni lakši) za upotrebu od njemu sličnih. sa dovoljno tankim slojevima i uz malo brzine, možete izbeći vidljive poteze četkicom.

i could've easily skipped this one. it's not like my collection is lacking metallic silvers, but i couldn't resist since my last chanel purchase was eastern light back in july 2014.

but i really do like metallic silvers. for me, they are perfect party polishes (especially since i wear black most of the time, and need some extra sparkle). this one is no more difficult (nor easier) to use than the most of them, but with thin enough coats and quick hands, you can avoid a lot of brushstrokes.

pošto sam u "ozbiljnijoj fazi", danas predstavljam chanel april iz njihove harmonie de printemps kolekcije za proleće 2012, gde su mu društvo pravili may i june.

since i'm in the more "serious phase", i will show you chanel april, from their harmonie de printemps collection for spring 2012, paired with may and june.

april je definitivno jedan od mojih omiljenih lakova "za odrasle". iako se oduševljavam svime što je zeleno, plavo, holo i šljokičavo, čak i ja ponekad rešim da nosim prikladnije boje ako poslovne situacije to zahtevaju. april sam i uzela prevashodno za takve situacije, i uz još jedan chanel, rose confidentiel, mi je uvek prvi izbor.

ovog lepotana nije tako lako opisati. ne znam da li bih rekla da je malinasto crven, zagasito crven ili šljivasto crven, pa ću se odlučiti za sve nabrojano. uz to, ima i odličnu formulu i rekla bih da svakom stoji. definitivno nijansa kakvu svaka žena/devojka mora da ima.

i have to say that april is among my favourite "grown up" polishes. i am a fan of everything green, blue, holo and glitter, but even i have it in me to go for more appropriate colours for some special work related situations. i got april solely for these occasions, and it became my go to polish together with another chanel, rose confidentiel.

it is one of those hard to describe beauties. i'm not sure whether to call it a berry red, muted red, reddish plum, so i will go with all of the above. it has amazing formula, i'm sure it suits every skintone and it is one of those polishes every girl has to have.

chanel eastern light (reflets d'eté de chanel)

eastern light se prvobitno pojavio kao deo chanel kolekcije hong kong za zimu 2013, koju je bilo gotovo nemoguće naći. srećom, postao je i deo ovogodišnje letnje reflets d'eté de chanel kolekcije i moj je jedini izbor.

eastern light was at first featured as a part of a limited chanel hong kong collection for winter 2013, with western light, that was almost impossible to find. luckily, it resurfaced in this year's summer collection,  reflets d'eté de chanel, and it is my only purchase.

u poslednje vreme sam stvarno poludela za belim lakovima. postoji nešto u njima što, ako je formula kako treba, daje nekako čist izgled. nije čudno da mi je eastern light zapao za oko i već sam ga dva puta nosila.

formula nije najbolja, ali je ipak prilično samoizjednačujuća. kada prođete kroz nezgodni prvi sloj, drugi će prilično izjednačiti sve, i uz solidan nadlak ostajete bez vidljivih poteza četkicom.

nijansa je najbelja koju možete zamisliti, a opet nekako uspeva da ne bude krečast. stvarno mi je pun pogodak ovog leta.

i seriously got into whites lately. there is something about a white polish, of course, if it's well executed, that gives king of a clean look. so, no wonder eastern light really caught my eye. i wore it twice already.

formula isn't the smoothest, but is quite self leveling. when you get past the streaky first coat, the second one evens things out, and with addition of a top coat, you should end up being streak-free.

the shade is the purest white you can imagine, and it manages steering away from the kind of a plastic look. i'm really enjoying wearing it.

chanel blue boy (les jeans)

prošlo je više od godinu dana od kad sam pisala o laku coco blue iz chanel-ove les jeans kolekcije za fashion night out 2011, i konačno je došao red na blue boy.

it's been more than a year since i showed coco blue from chanel's les jeans collection for fashion night out 2011, and now is the time for blue boy.

kao veliki ljubitelj plavaca, nemam očiglednog favorita u ovoj kolekciji, sva tri su potpuno po mom ukusu.

blue boy je možda najnosiviji u ovom triu, i trebalo bi de predstavlja nijansu izbledelih farmerki, a i nije daleko od toga. on je srednje plava krema, sa daškom sive i petrolej. formula je za nijansu ređa nego što bi trebalo za savršenu pokrivenost u dva sloja, pa preporučujem malo deblji drugi, da bi se izbeglo nanošenje još jednog. mislim da je ovo jedan od onih lakova koji svima dobro stoje.

as a huge fan of blues, i really don't have a clear favourite in this collection, i love all three of them.

blue boy is maybe the most wearable of the trio, it is supposed to represent the colour of faded jeans and it's not too far off. it is a medium blue creme, with a hint of grey and teal. it is just a little bit on the sheer side, so i recommend a generous second coat, if you don't want to deal with the third. i think it's one of those polishes that looks good on everyone.

chanel peridot (illusions d'ombres fall 2011)

konačno je došao trenutak da pokažem predivni chanel peridot, iz jesenje kolekcije za 2011, illusions d'ombres.

i think it's about time to show the gorgeous chanel peridot, from the 2011 fall collection illusions d'ombres.

imam pričicu vezanu za peridot, priznajem da sam se kasno upoznala sa high end lakovima, ali je peridot bio prvi lak ove vrste za koji sam čula. pročitala sam članak u blicu, koji je predstavljao ovu novu kolekciju sa naglaskom kako je u većini zemalja već lista čekanja za peridot. meni je to bio šok, pa me je zanimalo kako lak zaista izgleda, i još se više iznenadila kad sam zaključila da je toliko lep da je vredan čekanja!

svakako je ovo jedna od nijansa sa kojima se osećam najprirodnije, iako mogu da razumem da je za neke ovakav lak previše. takođe razumem da prva asocijacija na njega obično nije istoimeni kamen, već muva zunzara. ipak, ova duohrom zeleno zlatna kombinacija (zelena je dominantnija u senci, dok je zlatna primarna na više svetlosti), uz moju ljubav prema metalik lakovima, mi je logična da bude jedna od nijansi koje su mnoge kompanije probale da imitiraju. iako posedujem catrice verziju, genius in the bottle, peridot mi je miljnik iz razloga koje ću detaljnije objasniti kad napravim post poređenja.

pošto je metalik, ima vidljivih poteza četkicom, ali je formula ipak neverovatno dobra.

when it comes to peridot, i have a story. i admit i am a latecomer when it comes to high end polishes, but peridot was the first polish of this kind that i heard of. there was an article in one serbian newspaper, that was about this collection and mentioned that in many countries, there's a waiting list for peridot. this honestly shocked me, so i was interested to see how this polish looked like, and was surprised that i immediately fell in love with it!

and it sure is one of the shades i feel most comfortable with, although i can understand that it can be too much for some people. i also understand that the first association to it is not the stone of the same name, but the common fly. nevertheless, this combination of greenish gold duochrome (green more dominant in the shade, while gold wins in direct light), with my love for metallic finishes, makes it obvious to me why so many companies tried to make the dupe for it. i own catrice's version, genius in the bottle, and although i love it, i prefer peridot for the reasons i'll explain more thoroughly once i make a comparison post.

it is metallic, therefore brushstrokey, but the formula is impeccable.

chanel rouge moire (rouge allure moiré)

rouge moire je deo chanel-ove mini jesenje kolekcije, rouge allure moiré. preskočila sam njegovog parnjaka, rose moire, jer nije moja boja.

rouge moire is a part of chanel's mini autumn collection, rouge allure moiré. i only got this one, because rose moire is not my cup of tea.

ako ćemo iskreno, ovaj lak je lep, ali bih preživela i bez njega. ne žalim što sam ga uzela, samo, zbog ovakvih nijansi mi srce nikad nije posočilo.

nijansu je najbolje opisati kao biserno crvenom. u pitanju je hladna, malinasta crvena sa rozikastim šimerom koji izbija na površinu kao neki tanki, dodatni sloj. ima blago metalni finiš. formula i pokrivenost su ok, potezi četkicom mogu biti vidljivi, ali ne preterano. imajte u vidu da sam zaboravila da stavim nadlak, tako da su mogli biti i neprimetniji.

to be completely honest, this polish is pretty, but i would survive without it. i don't regret buying it, it's just that these shades don't really make my heart beat faster.

the shade is best described as pearly red. it is a cool, berry red with a pinkish shimmer that goes over it like a thin coat, and really pops out in the sun. it has a slight metallic feel to it. the formula and opacity are ok, there is a little bit of visible brushstrokes, but nothing too crazy. bear in mind, i forgot to put the top coat, so they could've been evened out by it.

chanel black pearl (spring 2011)

this post is long overdue, but i guess that i love this polish so much that i was never really happy with the pictures. i gave up now, so i present you the amazing chanel black pearl, from their 2011 spring collection.

this polish is not your typical grey polish, and not only because of the gorgeous green-teal microshimmer that runs through it. for me, it is elegant and edgy at the same time. since the finish is metallic, it is a bit brushstrokey.

this is, by far, my most used chanel, so i decided to bring it back home because i don't want to be tempted to wear it for a while (it's discontinued).  i also have the best dupe out there, catrice captain sparrow's boat, and i was using this one heavily too. of course it's also discontinued :(

i made sooo many pictures of this one, and honestly, i think it's beauty is not really transferable to photos.

chanel alchimie 591 (superstition)

chanel-ova kolekcija za ovu jesen se zove superstition, i u njoj su tri laka: elixir, mysterious (kog takođe imam) i današnja zvezda, alchimie. 

this autumn chanel collection is called superstition, and has three polishes: elixir, mysterious (that i also bought) and today's star, alchimie.

zvanični opisi nijansi su često problematični, ali mi se čini da je ovog puta uhvaćena suština: "zlatni khaki". promo slike su me uplašile da će biti neznatna razlika njega i peridot-a (kog inače obožavam, da me ne shvatite pogrešno), ali novitet ima dosta manje šimera i zlatnog tona.

već sam spominjala da obožavam maslinastu boju (a, recimo, masline ne mogu da smislim), tako da ni ovaj lak nije izuzetak. ovakve nijanse ili obožavate ili mrzite. iako ima metalik završnicu, formula je prilično dobra. vidi se poneki trag četkice, ali uživo su gotovo nevidljivi.

the official descriptions can be problematic, but this time, i think it captured the essence correctly: " a golden khaki". promo photos scared me that it would be really close to peridot (don't get me wrong, i'm a huge peridot fan), but the new one is much less shimmery and golden.

i mentioned already that i'm a huuuge fan of olive color (funny enough, i hate olives), so this one is not an exception. with these shades, you either love them or hate them. although it is a metallic polish, application is easy enough. there is a brushstroke here and there, but nothing really visible in real life.

chanel - bel-argus (l’eté papillon de chanel)

današnji tematski petak je posvećen chanel lakovima, i stvarno sam htela da izaberem neki lak koji nisam skoro nosila, ali srce je želelo bel argus, kog sam mazala čim sam ga ulovila u nemačkoj.

pretpostavljam da je svima već poznato da je dobio ime po leptiru lysandra bellargus, ali mi je zanimljivo da je samo mužjak ovako plav, dok su ženkina krila pretežno braon.

this theme friday is about chanels. i really tried to choose a polish that i haven't worn that recently, but my heart wanted bel-argus, although i wore immediately after i bought it in germany.

i guess it's a known fact that it's named after lysandra bellargus butterfly, but it's only the male that is entirely blue; the top part of the female's wing is brown.

kada mi je na noktima bel argus, mislim da je lepši od azure, i obrnuto. ovo je još jedno plavo savršenstvo, ali ovog puta nijansa je skoro električno plava, kao duboko more. duohrom efekat je nešto blaži u poređenju sa azure, ali su isto tako slabiji i vidljivi potezi četkicom.

ne mogu da dočekam da ga nosim pored vode, danas sam zbog njega na poslu ceo dan sanjarila o moru!

when i wear bel argus, i prefer it to azure, and vice versa. it is another blue gorgeousness, this time, almost electric, deep sea blue metallic. it's duochrome effect is a bit toned down comparing to azure; also, the brushstrokes are less visible!

i can't wait to wear it near the water, it made me daydream of sea today at work!
