nopi shoot for the maroon (2012)

i am showing one of my favourites today, shoot for the maroon from nopi's 2012 collection.

when you have a lot of polishes, it happens that you kind of neglect some of them, but then you rediscover them and fall in love. i wore shoot for the maroon so many times this winter and i'm still not bored of it.

and how could i be, just look at this perfection! such a rich burgundy/purple shade with perfectly matched golden shimmer. it's a dream. it looks stunning both in shade and in the sun.

formula is also nice, it applies smoothly and nicely. such a gem of a polish.

opi-jev muir muir on the wall je jedan od skrivenih dragulja njihove san francisco kolekcije za jesen 2013.

opi's muir muir on the wall is one of their hidden gems from san francisco collection for autumn 2013.

muir muir on the wall je nekako često zanemaren u moru njihovih zatamljenih šimera, i to potpuno nepravedno. ovo je prelepa zacrnjena šljivasta/bordo nijansa, sa zlatkastim šimerom i blagim duohrom efektom.

ovo je zista prelepa, elegantan ali i misteriozan lak. formula je odlična i definitivno lak koji bih preporučila.

prirodna svetlost:

muir muir on the wall is somehow getting neglected in opi's world of gorgeous darkened shimmers, and it's completely unfair. it is such a gorgeous blackened plum/burgundy shade, with goldish shimmer and a slight duochrome effect.

it's a very gorgeous, elegant but mysterious polish. formula is awesome and it is definitely a polish i would recommend.

chanel gondola (venice)

gondola je bila deo chanel dua za jesen 2009, zajedno sa lakom intermezzo.

gondola is was a part of the chanel's duo for fall 2009,  together with intermezzo.

gondola je zaista klasična nijansa. bordo sa roze podtonom, i sa šimerom jačim od tipičnog, skrivenog chanel šimera. uspela sam da nađem izgubljenu bočicu u parfimeriji pre par gpdina.

formula je solidna, nemam nikakvih prigovora. ako ga nađete, slobodno ga uzmite.

prirodna svetlost:

gondola is truly a classic shade. a pink leaning burgundy, with a stronger shimmer than what we are used to from chanel. i managed to get a forgotten bottle in a shop a few years ago.

formula is solid, nothing to complain about. if you find it, go for it!

natural light:

a england incense burner (rosetti's goddess)

vreme je za još jedan a england lak. ovaj put sam izabrala incense burner iz rosetti's goddess kolekcije.

it's time for another a england, this time i chose incense burner from rosetti's goddess collection.

incense burner me je potpuno neočekivano raspametio. izgleda tako kompleksno i duboko.

nijansa naizgled izgleda kao jednostavna patlidžan/burgundy, ali ima i pomalo duohrom efekat. na krajevima, dobija malo zelene ili zlatne nijanse. tu je i vrlo, vrlo supttilni holo šimer, koji je tu samo da mu da malo efekta ali mislim da nije ni zamišljen da izgleda kao ludi holo lak.

formula je, kao i uvek odlična. zaista sam oduševljena ovim lakom, tako je kompleksan i divan.

prirodna svetlost:

incense burner blew me away quite unexpectedly. it is so complex and deep.

the colour seems like a simple eggplant/burgundy shade, but it has a bit of a duochrome effect in a way. on the edges, it can seem a bit green or gold. it has a really, really subtle holo shimmer, just in order not to look too bland, but i don't think that it being a crazy holo was a point here.

formula is, as usual, spot on. really, i love it. it's quite complex and gorgeous.

natural light:

picture polish nemesis (vampy chameleons)

nemesis je moj jedini izbor iz zaista prelepe picture polish kolekcije, vampy chameleons.

nemesis was my only pick from a truly gorgeous picture polish collection, vampy chameleons.

pošto nisam neki veliki ljubitelk crvenih lakova, odlučila sam se samo za jedan lak iz ove kolekcije, i nekako mi je nemesis zapao za oko.

bazna boja je bordo, sa blagim duohrom efektom gde ivice povuku na zlatkasto. lak uz to poseduje i rasejani holo efekat, uz blagi šimer, tako da je zaista poseban. formula je bez greške.

prirodna svetlost:

since i am not a huge red fan, i decided to pick only one polish from this collection, and nemesis somehow caught my eye.

the base colour is burgundy, with a slight duochrome effect as it gets goldish in the edges. add to that scattered holo and some shimmer, and you get a true gem. application is flawless.

posle male pauze, nastavljam sa nijansama iz picture polish limited edition kolekcije, i zvezda dana je solar flare, i posle ovog ostaje još gravity.

after a little break, i'm continuing with the picture polish limited edition shades, and today's star is solar flare, leaving gravity for the end.

pošto sam luda za plavim i petrolej nijansama, ovaj lak bi trebalo da mi bude najmanje zanimljiv u kolekciji, ali ga volim u istoj meri!

rekla bih da je multihrom efekat najači u ovom laku. kada svetlost pada paralelno na nokat, dominantna boja je bordo, kao što možete videti na slikama na suncu, ali pod drugim uglovima, narandžasto-zlatna počinje da dominira, uz čak pomalo zelene. kao dodatak, ovaj lak ima čestice neravnomernog oblika koje u hladu izgledaju kao predivne bele krpice, a na suncu laku daju rasejani holo efekat.

nosila sam ga na isti način kao i ostale, jedan sloj preko jednog sloja crnog alessandro laka iz seta crystal punk, i bio mi je na noktima neverovatna tri dana.. 

prirodna svelost:

since i am a blue and teal girl, this one was supposed to be the least appealing to me from the bunch, but it turns out i love it equally!

i feel like the colour shift is the strongest in this one. when the light comes parallel to the nail, the dominant colour is burgundy, as you can se from the photos in the sun, but at other angles, a sort of orange-gold starts to dominate, with even a hints of green. in addition, it has irregularly shaped particles that look like gorgeous white flakes in the shade, but add the scattered holo effect to the mix when you're in the sun.

i wore it in the same way as other shades,one coat over one coat of alessandro black out of crystal punk set, and had it on my nails for almost impossible 3 days!

dior galaxie 992 (mystic metallics)

dior-ova jesenja kolekcija se sastoji iz dva "mystic metallics" laka, destin (koji nije moja šoljica čaja) i zvezde današnjeg posta, galaxie; uz dodatak dior magnetnog prvenca, mystic magnetic.

dior's autumn collection consists out of two "mystic metallics" polishes, destin (not my cup of tea) and today's star, galaxie; together with their first attempt at magnetic polishes, mystic magnetic.

galaxie je savršen lak za hladne zimske dane, koji mi potpuno neočekivano nedostaju ove godine koju provodim u toplijoj klimi. podseća me na ušuškane zimske večeri, u nečijem zadimljenom stanu sa drugarima i kuvanim vinom. ah, udari me nostalgija!

nijansa je prelepa, bogata burgundy-šljivasta, sa divnim, gustim šimerom koji ga čini gotovo metalik lakom. nanošenje, formula i pokrivenost su baš onakvi kakve volim, tako da nemam na šta da se požalim!

galaxie is the perfect polish for cold, winter days that i seem to (unexpectedly) miss this year that i'm spending in a warmer climate. it reminds me of cosy winter nights, spent indoors with friends,  mulled wine and smoke. ah, i'm getting homesick!

the colour is so rich, burgundy-ish plum, with gorgeous dense shimmer that makes the polish borderline metallic. application, consistency and brush are just as i like it, so nothing to complain about there.

the polish of the day is the gorgeousness that is briarwood from a england burne-jones dream collection!

moram da kažem, gledajući ga u bočici, ovaj lak mi je bio lepuškast, ali kad sam ga namazala me je neverovatno opčinio. opisan je kao "burgundy bazna boja, ispunjena ultra finim prizmatičnim česticama koje reflektuju svaki deo svetlosti".

mislim da je dovoljno da kažem da sam ga nosila tri dana pa da shvatite koliko me je oduševio. bazna boja je sama po sebi prelepa, i iako obično volim jako izražene holo lakove, baš je suptilnost holo šimera to što ovaj lak čini posebnim. izgleda kao da se magla podiže sa nokta. mogla bih još dugo da opisujem koliko sam se zaljubila, ali ću pustiti da slike govore za sebe.

formula je standarno a england savršena, nemam na šta da se požalim.

prirodna svetlost:

i have to say, i liked this polish just from looking at the bottle, but i was so amazed when i actually had it on my nails! it is described as "burgundy base colour, filled with ultra-fine prismatic particles that reflect every facet of light".

i think that the fact i had it on my nails for three days says how much it mesmerized me. base color is amazing on it's own, and even though i love crazy holos, the subtleness of the holo shimmer is what gives this polish the wow effect. it looks like the mist raising from the nails. i could go on for a long time describing how much in love i am, but i'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

formula is standard a england perfection, nothing to complain about.

pošto sam cele prošle nedelje bila na odmoru, ostala sam dužna i prethodni, bordo kolaž. moj izbor je bio essence hypnotic poison.

since i was away on holiday the entire last week, i am posting the burgundy collage one week late. i wore essence hypnotic poison.

prethodni petak je bio blatnjav. o, kako volim blatnjavce! pošto mi se mnooogo nosio dior trench, koji je delom i braon, nisam mogla da mu odolim.

last friday's color was taupe. i really love those muddy colors! since i was waiting for the opportunity to finally try out dior trench, even though it's part brown, i couldn't resist wearing it.

od sutra nas čeka gradijent!

essence hypnotic poison (colour&go 31)

boja za današnji tematski petak je bordo, pa sam izabrala essence 31 hypnotic poison.

the color for the current theme friday is burgundy, so i'm participating with essence 31 hypnotic poison.

boja je prelepa bordo\tamno crvena. šimer je zlatni i rozikasti, ali nije previše upadljiv, ima ga tek toliko da boji da dubinu. formula je prilično dobra, kao i kod većine lakova iz stare color&go kolekcije.


uvek imam problem da slikam lakove sa ovako visokim sjajem. čak sam pokušala i da napravim slike bez nadlaka, ali nije preterano pomoglo. na kraju sam nekako izabrala par koje nisu izgledale loše. ako imate bilo kakav savet za ubuduće, slobodno napišite!

prirodna svetlost:

the color is beautiful, rich dark red going on burgundy. the shimmer in it is gold and pinkish, but it isn't too distracting, it just adds a bit of depth to it. formula is pretty consistent, as in the most of the polishes from the old color&go collection.

i always have a problem photographing polishes that are so glossy. i tried to make pictures even without top coat, but it wasn't helpful. eventually, i managed to get a couple that looked ok-ish. if you have any advice or easier way, feel free to comment!
