dior exquis (holiday 2011)

i was absent due to very unfortunate personal reasons, but the situation is improving and i am trying to go back to my routines. my polish of choice for this occasion is one of my first high end polishes, gorgeous exquis from dior's holiday 2011 collection. other polishes here were or divin, mervielle and apparat (that i wish i owned)

exquis is a very rich and complex shade. it is somewhere between olive green and brown, with a lot of gold shimmer running around. it's one of those edgy but classy polishes.

formula is great, but unfortunately, i got a weirdly cut brush. still workable, though, just making life more difficult.

new world purple, takođe poznat kao aztec chocolate, je dior lak iz njihove kolekcije za jesen 2010, nail bar.

new world purple, otherwise known as aztec chocolate, is dior polish from their autumn 2010 collection nail bar.

promo slika prikazuje new world purple mnogo više ljubičastim nego što on to jeste. ovo je kompleksna nijansa, hladna braon sa ljubičastim podtonom i puno šimera. i to ne standardni skriveni dior šimer!

odavno je povučen i drago mi je da imam svoj primerak. formula je nešto tanja, ali je toliko lep da mi nije teško da to oprostim.

prirodna svetlost:

the promo picture shows new purple more, well, purple than it actually is. it's a complex shade, a cool brown with purple undertones and a lot of shimmer. not that dior hiddens shimer, but the real deal.

it's discontinued, and i am happy i have it in my collection. the formula is a bit thin, but it's so pretty that i can forgive it pretty much everything.

china glaze foxy (vintage vixen)

china glaze vintage vixen je fantastična kolekcija iz jeseni 2010. imam nekoliko lakova, i konačno je vreme došlo da pokažem foxy.

china glaze's vintage vixen is a really awesome collection back in the autumn of 2010. i have a couple of bottles and finally the time has come to show off foxy.

interesantno, foxy mi je jedan od prvih china glaze lakova a dobio je šansu tek sad.

u pitanju je nekako zagorela crvena/tamno narandžasta nijansa, savršena za jesen. šimer je bogat i formula glatka i fina.

prirodna svetlost:

funnily enough, foxy is one of my first china glaze polishes and it got a chance on the blog only now.

it is kind of a burned red, dark orange sort of shade, perfect for autumn. the shimmer is rich and formula smooth and nice.

ysl opulente cannelle (spicy)

spicy je veoma zaniljiva ysl kolekcija iz proleća 2014. opulente cannelle je jedan od šest lakova iz ove kolekcije.

spicy was a very interesting collection from ysl back in spring 2014. opulente cannelle is one of the six polishes from this collection.

opulente cannelle je vrlo nezgodna nijansa za opisivanje. naučila sam da cannelle znači cimet na francuskom, i nekako mi ima smisla jer ima nekako cimetkast izgled.

nijansa je negde između srednje braon i onih prašnjavih roze boja. meni je nekako čudno lep, ali verujem da zavisi dosta od tona kože. formula je potpuno savršena.

prirodna svetlost:

opulente cannelle is very difficult shade to describe. i learned that cannelle actually means cinnamon in french, and it makes sense, it doeas have this cinnamony look.

the shade is somewhere between medium brown and those dusty rose colours. i find it strangley pretty, but i agree that it depends a lot on the skin tone. formula is impeccable.

catrice browno mars (860)

vreme je za još jednog starojka, i to je catrice browno mars iz njihove osnovne kolekcije iz 2012te.

it's time for another oldie, and it's catrice browno mars from what was their core collection back in 2012.

ovo mi je jedan od omiljenijih catrice lakova. bazna boja je svetla, bronzikastaa braon, sa fantastičnim šimerom koji ga čini baš zanimljivim. iako su braon lakovi uglavnom asocijacija za jesen i zimu, ovaj lak je savršen i za sunčane dane baš šimera.

formula i četkica u ovoj catrice seriji su bili vrhunski, šteta što su morali sve da zakomplikuju.

prirodna svetlost:

i really like this shade. it is a light, bronzey brown with an awesome shimmer that makes it really interestingly looking. even though brown is mostly associated with autumn and winter, because of this shimmer it's great for the warmer days as well.

formula and brush in catrice polishes from this range is top notch, i wish they kept it as simple  as this.

ysl taupe graine (fall 2014)

konačno je vreme da pokažem drugog lepotana iz ysl jesenje kolekcije, taupe graine.

it's finally the time for me to show the second beauty from ysl fall collection, taupe graine.

već sam pokazala bleu galuchat (i oduševila se), ali mislim da mi se taupe graine još više sviđa, verovatno jer ima nekako kožni izgled.

u pitanju je tamnija nijansa braon, ali takva da nikad ne izgleda crno. teksturni efekat je prelep (naravno, ako ste fan istog, a ja definitivno jesam). suši se veoma brzo i izgleda pomalo luckasto ali ne ekstravagantno.

prirodna svetlost:

i already showed bleu galuchat (and loved it!), but i think i love taupe graine even more, probably because it really has this leathery look.

this is a darker shade of brown, but it never looks black. textured effect is just beautiful (if you are a fan to begin with, and i certainly am).  it dries really quickly and looks a bit edgy but not extravagant.

essence gold old buffy (vampire love)

danas predstavljam jedan praistorijski lak. u pitanju je gold old buffy iz essence vampire love kolekcije iz davne 2011.

this is definitely a blast from the past, because i am showing gold old buffy from essence's limited edition vampire love way back in 2011.

zaista mi nije jasno kako je moguće da nosim jedan lak više puta i na kraju ga predstavim nekoliko godina kasnije. ipak, bolje ikad nego nikad.

volim ovakve lakove: tamna, ali ne potpuno crna baza vrlo gusto ispunjena zlatnim ljuspicama.

gold old buffy je stvarno sladak lak, ali kako sada imam više sličnih, ovaj ima najlošiju formulu od svih. generalno nije loša, samo je malo tečniji i samim tim lošije pokrivenosti.

i seriously don't know how is it possible for me to wear a polish quite a few times and present it so many years later. well, better late than never.

i like polishes like this: dark but not completely black base densely packed with gold glass flecks.

gold old buffy is a really cute polish, and since i now own more than one that is similar, it is the one with the worst formula. it is not bad, though, just a bit to runny and not with the best coverage.

ysl bronze aztec (28)

novi dan, novi ysl, i to jedan od mojih favorita, bronze aztec.

another day, another ysl, and this is one of my personal favorites, bronze aztec.

većina ysl lakova su kreme, ali s vremena na vreme, izbace i neki predivni šimer. bronze aztec je jako pogmentovana tamno braon nijansa, puna zlatnog/brinzanog šimera koji je mnogo intenzivniji u bočici nego na noktu, ali je daleko od skrivenog.

kao i obično, formula je besprekorna. ovo je retka prilika da mogu da komentarišem postojanost jer sam bila bolesna i nosila ga cela tri dana, bez oštećenja,

prirodna svetlost:

majority of ysl polishes are cremes, but from time to time, they make a gorgeous shimmer. this one is a highly pigmented dark brown, full of golden/bronze shimmer. the shimmer is more noticeable in the bottle than on nails, but far from being hidden.

needless to say, the formula is flawless. it is a rare occasion that i can comment on durability, since i was sick and therefore wore it for three days, with no chipping.

danas pokazujem moj prvi high end lak, dior or tsarine (alternativno ime je czarina gold). bio je deo trija holiday 2010 kolekcije uz timeless gold i rouge garconne.

today i'm showing my first high end polish, dior's or tsarine (also known as czarina gold). it was a part of the holiday 2010 collection, together with timeless gold and rouge garconne.

kao što rekoh, ovo je moj prvi he lak tako da je baš čudno da ga tek sad pokazujem. našla sam neke stare slike i stvarno su bile loše :) iako je izašao pred kraj 2010, kupila sam ga u junu 2012. obigravala sam oko njega mesecima, pomalo uplašena od toga šta će se dogoditi kada pređem na mračnu starnu. nakon jednog padanja vozačkog ispita, trebalo mi je malo dobrog raspoloženja i prestala sam da se opirem!

iz ove perspektive mi je drago da sam počela sa njim, jer je zaista moj tip laka. u pitanju je bogata tamno braon baza puna krupnog, gotovo staklastog zlatnog šimera i dobre formule.

as i said, it was my first he polish so it's funny i waited so long to show it. i found some old swatches, they were really horrible :)  even though it was from the end of 2010, i bought it in june 2012. i was circling around it for so long, a bit scared of what would happen when i cross to the dark side. one failed driving test later, in a need of a pick-me-up, i stopped resisting!

in the hindsight, i am happy i stared with this one, because it really is my type of polish. a dark brown, rich base with large, almost glass flaky golden shimmer and good formula..

konačno ću pokazati neke malo novije slike, i izbor je pao na ingrid iz fantastične china glaze kolekcije vintage vixen za jesen 2010.

i'm finally showing you a bit more recent swatches, and my choice is ingrid from china glaze's perfect vintage vixen collection for autumn 2010.

samo pogledajte kakvi su sve dragulji u ovoj kolekciji. ja imam još samo foxy, ali kada bih morala da počinjem kolekciju od nule, počela bih sa vintage vixen.

ingrid je prosto savršena. bazna boja je prelepa svetla braon koja naginje ka taupe, skoro poput istopljene čokolade sa idealnom količinom zlatnog šimera. dok gledam ove slike, prosto imam želju da je opet mažem!

baš volim ovaj lak, sve u vezi njega je savršeno, uključujući formulu i nanošenje, i najbolji je dupe za dior exquis kog takođe imam i volim.

just look at all of the gems in this collection. only  other i have foxy, but if i had to start my collection from scratch, i would start from vintage vixen.

ingrid is just perfect. base color is amazing light brown leaning to taupe, almost like molten chocolate with just the right amount of golden shimmer. i'm looking at this pictures and i want to wear it again!


 i really love this polish, everything is perfect about it, including formula and application, and it's the best dupe for dior exquis that i also own and love.

cirque french roast over illasmasqua taint

toliko sam srećna da sam se dokopala cirque laka french roast, i rešila sam da ga kombinujem preko illamasqua taint.

i'm so happy i got my hands on cirque's french roast, and decided to layer it over illamasqua taint.

cirque je 3 free indie firma iz amerike, a french roast pripada kolekciji dark horse. opisuju ga kao "svetlucajući bronzani lak sa šljokicama koji se presijava na zlato i bakar".


ovo je zaista poseban lak. pošto je prilično proziran, pretpostavljam da bi samostalno mogao da ima dovoljnu pokrivenost sa tri sloja, ali mislim da je najbolje koristiti ga kao nadlak. na slikama imam jedan sloj llamasqua taint i dva sloja french roast. šljokice su u bojama od narandžaste i bakarne do boje kafe. ovo je jedan od lakova koji jedu nadlak, namazala sam jedan sloj popodne i izgledao je odlično, ali je ujutro bio malo neravan pa sam dodala još jedan sloj nadlaka.

obožavam što izgleda kao da sija iznutra, i po meni je kao bronzana šljokičava verzija max factor fantasy fire.

cirque is a 3 free indie brand from america, and french roast is from dark horse collection. they describe it as "a sparkling bronze glitter polish that reflects gold and copper"

it really is an unique polish. since it is rather sheer, i guess it could be opaque enough with three coats, but i think it's best to use it for layering. i had one coat of illamasqua taint and two coats of french roast. the glitter ranges from orange and copper to coffee brown. it is a top coat eater, i put one layer of top coat in the afternoon, when i applied it and it looked good, but when i woke up the next morning, it was gritty so i added another.


i love how it looks like it's glowing. i see it as a  coppery-glittery version of max facotr's fantasy fire.

tematska boja prethodne nedelje je bila braon. učestvovala sam sa predivnim opi espresso your style!ali, pošto je bilo previše oblačno, nisam preterano zadovoljna slikama pa ću ga predstaviti kako mu doliči neki drugi put. sledeća tema je mat, tako da verujem da će biti zanimljivo!

the theme color in the past week was brown. i participated with the gorgeous opi espresso your style! but, since it was too cloudy, i was not too happy with my pictures so i'll swatch it as it deserves when the weather changes. the new topic is matte, so i'm expecting a good challenge!

dior 223 trench

dior trench je deo dior nude kolekcije za jesen 2012, uz charnelle, grege i dune.

dior trench is part of dior's nude collection for fall 2012, together with charnelle, grege and dune. from dior: "the flagship model on dior runways, revisited in hues of rosewood spiced with a touch of beige: captivating elegance".

kada sam potrošila essence walk of fame pre nekoliko meseci, iz nekog razloga ga nisam zamenila drugim blatnjavkom. imala sam dilemu da li da uzmem chanel particuliere ili trench, pošto su prilično slični. ipak, sam se odlučila za trench, jer mi je dior formula generalno savršena.

boja je prelepa blatnjava braon krema i podseća me na milkšejk od čokolade :D formula i aplikacija su standardno savršeni, potpuna pokrivenst se dobija iz dva sloja sa visokim sjajem.

prirodna svetlost:

somehow, when i finished up my essence walk of fame sometime ago, i didn't get another muddy polish to replace it. i was in a dilemma whether to get chanel particuliere or trench, since they are quite similar if not dead on dupes. since i actually prefer dior to chanel, i made perfect choice.

this is a beautiful taupe brown creme that reminds me of chocolate milkshakes :D i can't even describe how amazing the formula and application are, it is opaque in two coats with glossy finish.

essence princess prunella (colour&go 73)

malo sam u zaostatku sa objavljivanjem slika lakova koje se prikazala u ovom postu sa praznim flašicama, pa ću da nastavim sa essence 73 princess prunella, koji je jedan od varijacija na chanel paradoxal.

i'm really behind on posting swatches of polishes that are pictured in this post as empty bottles, so, i'm going to continue with essence 73 princess prunella (one of the chanel paradoxal lookalikes.)

boja je braonkasto ljubičasta, sa sitnim ljubičastim šimerom koji je jedva vidljiv na noktima. posle prvog sloja, tragovi četkice su bili prilično vidljivi ali je drugi sve sredio. sve u svemu, ovo nije jedan od mojih omiljenijih lakova, tako da mi nije bilo preterano žao kada sam ga poslednji put namazala.

prirodna svetlost:

the color is brownish purple with lilac microshimmer that is barely visible on the nails. it is a bit brush stroke-y after the first layer, but the second one almost completely evens it out. overall, this isn't one of my favorite shades so i wasn't particularly sad when i wore it for the last time.

catrice 900 steel my heart

catrice 900 steel my heart  je treći i poslednji lak sa "brushed metal" efektom koji ću predstaviti, i meni lično najlepši.

catrice 900 steel my heart is the third (out of three) polish with the "brushed metal effect", and my favorite.

bazna boja je tamno braon/taupe, puna raznobojnih mikrošljokica (plave, zlatne, ljubičaste, crvene) koje mu daju svetlucav izgled. pošto se suši polu-mat, aplikacija je malo nezgodna, ali mislim da sam se do sad navikla pa mi nije predstavljala problem.
bez nadlaka, sunce:

the base color is dark brown/taupe packed with microglitter of different colors: blue, gold, purple, red, which give it its sparkly look. because it dries semi-matte, the application is a bit difficult, but i guess i got used to it now so i didn't have problems.
no top coat, direct sunlight:
