butter london  jack the lad, iz holiday kolekcije za 2012, je bio moj izbor za doček nove godine.

butter london's jack the lad, from the holiday collection for 2012, was my choice for the new year's eve.

najčešće devojke biraju crvene nijanse za početak nove godine, dok mene zelene najviše uvode u praznično raspoloženje.

ovaj lak je pravi lepotan. nosila sam ga dva puta pre ovog događaja, i nikad nije prošao nezapaženo. opisali su ga kao "neproziran, mahovinasto zeleni lak sa zlatnim, tirkiznim i zelenim mikrošljokicama". po meni, ovaj lak je savršen, oduševljena sam kombinacijom bazne boje i staklastih šljokica.

plašila sam se da neće imati dovoljnu pokrivenost s dva sloja, pa sam dodala i treći, ipak je to bila nova godina i to, ali nije bilo potrebno.

usually, girls like to start the year with a red polish. for me, the green ones are those that put me to holiday mood!

this polish is a true beauty. i wore it two times before this occasion, and it never went unnoticed. it is described as "opaque, moss green shimmer with gold, turquoise, and green microglitter". for me, it really is a stunner. i love the base color and the glass fleck combination.

i was scared that it wouldn't be opaque enough with two layers and added the third one, since it was the new year's eve and all, but it wasn't necessary.

butter london knees up (holiday 2009)

pošto je danas dan žena,  rešila sam da namažem boju koju ne nosim toliko često - crvenu, i izbor je pao na butter london knees up.

since it is the international women's day, i decided to wear the color i don't usually have on my nails, which is red, and i decided on butter london knees up.

butter london lakovi u mom srcu  imaju posebno mesto. mislim da kad bih morala da se ograničim na samo jedan brand, i kada bi ih bilo na više mesta u evropi, oni bi mi bili izbot.

butter london opis ovog laka: "metalik crveni lak savršen da se u njemu napijete". da, sudeći po butter london-u, knees up znači napiti se na žurci!


ovo je fantastična metalik crvena sa šimerom, koja prosto zrači na noktima. originalno, ovaj lak je bio deo holiday kolekcije za 2009, ali je postao deo stalne postavke. formula mu je odlična, jedino bih volela da je četkica šira i sve bi bilo idealno.


prirodna svetlost:

i have a thing for butter london polishes. i think if i had to limit myself on only one brand, and if i could get my hands on butters more often, they would be the choice.

butter london's description for this one: a smashing metallic-red nail lacquer perfect for getting smashed in. so, yeah, according to butter london, knees up means getting drunk at a party!

it is a gorgeous, shimmery metallic red that simply glows on the nails. it was originally the part of their holiday collection, but it became part of the permanent collection. the formula is great, i just wish that the brush is a bit wider, and  it would be just perfect!

butter london all hail the queen (fall 2010)

ovaj lak se prvi put pojavio kao deo butter london jesenje kolekcije, zajedno sa lakovima bumster, marrow i victoriana, i to pod imenom all hail mcqueen. kasnije su ga iz legalnih razloga preimenovali u all hail the queen i deo je stalne kolekcije.

this polish first appeared as a part of butter london's fall 2010 collection, where it was called all hail mcqueen, but change the name to just all hail the queen later on. the other three polishes were bumster, marrow and victoriana.

ovo je bio prvi BL lak kog sam uzela sa police, i zaljubila sam se istog trenutka. baza laka je bež boje, i puna je finog holo glitera, tako da je njegov holo finiš rasejan. formula je odlična i sa dva sloja dobija se puna pokrivenost.

prirodna svetlost:

this was the first BL polish i picked up from the shelf, and immediately fell in love with it. this is how the color really has a nice beige, sandy tone and it is packed with fine scattered holographic glitter. formula is great, nothing to complain here.

natural light:

koristila sam bazu (opi start to finish) + dva sloja laka + nadlak (essence btgnts).

i used base (opi start to finish) + two layers of polish + top coat (essence btgnts).

butter london knackered over zoya trixie

kada sam prvi put mazala knackered, iako sam znala da je lak proziran i da mu trebaju bar tri sloja da bi dobio dubinu, ipak sam probala da ga nosim samog, i čak mi se i takav svideo. lak je pravi kameleon! ovaj put sam rešila da ga namažem preko nekog drugog i trixie mi je zvučala kao dobar izbor. "proziran, svetlucavi lak boje ostrige (da, morala sam ovo da guglam, to je izgleda legitimna boja :D) sa mikro holo šljokicama" preko "svetlo srbernog laka sa svetlucavim metalik finišem" mi je zvučalo odlično, i mislim da sam bila u pravu!

knackered je ublažio intenzivnu srebrnu boju od trixie i dao joj malo duohrom efekta. holo čestice se, na žalost, ne slikaju dobro ali na suncu izgledaju prelepo!

prirodna svetlost:

i wore butter london's knackered on it's own once, and, even though it is shear and needs at least three layers to look opaque, i found it really cute. this time, i decided to use it for layering and trixie seemed like a good choice. "a sheer, twinkling oyster shade flecked with micro glitter holo particles" over "stunning light silver with a sparkling metallic foil finish" sounded good to me, and i wasn't wrong!




knackered toned down the intense silver in trixie and gave it a hint of duochrome. holo glitter is a bit camera shy, but it looks really gorgeous in the sunlight.

butter london lakovi su mi postali jedni od omiljenih. kupila sam ova tri kada sam bila u nemačkoj (i par puta zapitala sebe zašto nisam otišla na doktorat tamo, da bih mogla stalno da ih uzimam :D). boje su im fantastične,  isto važi i za formulu i finiš.

butter london polishes have become one of my favorites. i got three of them during my visit to germany (and i cursed myself a couple of times for not going to germany for phd, since i could buy more of them :D). their colors are amazing, and don't get me started on the perfect formula and finish.
