opi the "it" color (mod about brights)

i am obsessed with yellow polishes. i don't care what the undertone is, or if it looks good with my complexion, i just love seeing a good yellow. and opi's (ancient) the "it" colour from mod about brights collection back in 2008 is just perfect.

the "it" colour is a very interesting yellow shade. it is not quite mustard, but not your typical yellow. formula is quite decent and has minimal streaking.

vreme je tako oblačno i sumorno da sam morala da objavim jedan veseo lak, a sun flower je svakako takav. nastao je u saradnji picture polish sa ruskom blogerkom de briz.

the weather is so cloudy and gloomy, that i had to pull out a fun one, and sun flower for sure is fun. it was made by picture polish with collaboration with russian blogger de briz.

sun flower je izašao u leto 2016 zajedno da salt water, i zaista su dobar par jer imaju iste holo ljuspice, što je jedan od mojih omiljenih efekata u lakovima za nokte.

nijansa je vrlo zanimljiva žuta, zaista poput suncokreta. formula je više crelly nego krema, i izgleda odlično. znam da ovaj lak neće svakom biti po ukusu, ali po mom svakako jeste!

prirodna svetlost:

sun flower was released in spring together with salt water, and they are really a good couple since they have the same holo flakey particles. these are one of my favourite effects in a nail polish.

the shade itself is a strange shade of yellow, really sunflower-like. the formula is more crelly than creme, and it looks gorgeous. i know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it sure is mine!

leto se približava, pa je vreme da se okrenem živahnim lakovima, poput opi  i just can't cope-acabana iz kolekcije za leto 2014, brazil.

summer is approaching, so it's time for bright polishes, such as opi i just can't cope-acabana from summer collection brazil 2014.

uvek sam otvorena ka novim žutim lakovima, i ovaj je sada negde u vrhu te liste.

 i just can't cope-acabana je savršena svetla i nekako pastelna žuta. tako živahna nijansa, sa prlično dobrom formulom, pogotovo kad se uzme u obzir kako naporne žute umeju da budu. obožavam ga!

i am always open to new yellow shades, and this one is now among my favourites.

i just can't cope-acabana is a perfect, bright and somehow pastel yellow. it is such a vivid shade, with a pretty good formula, especially when you keep in mind that yellows can be a nightmare. i love it!

dior sunwashed (tie dye)

tie dye je najnovija dior limitirana kolekcija za leto, a sunwashed je moj jedini izbor.

tie dye is dior's limited edition for the summer, and sunwashed is my only pick.

žuti lakovi su mi slaba tačka, ali obično biram one sa jačim mango podtonom. zbog toga, ova nijansa, meka, limunkasta žuta je definitivno jedinstvena u mojoj kolekciji.

nisam imala neke specijalne probleme u mazanju. nije da je lak sa najboljom formulom, ali nema vidljivih poteza ćetkicom. tu je i poznati dior-ov mikrošimer. rekla bih da sam već previše pocrnela za ovu nijansu, ali sam se ipak navikla na njega.

prirodna svetlost:

i do have a soft spot for yellow polishes, but i usually opt for those with more mango undertones. therefore, this one, a soft, lemony yellow, is something unique in my collection.

i had no particular problems applying it. granted, it's not the polish with a smoothest formula, but i didn't experience any brushstrokes. there is some of that hidden micro shimmer that dior is known for. i think my skin is already a bit to tanned for this shade, but i grown used to it.

ysl jaune babouche (summer 2015)

jedan od mojih najnovijih lakova je jaune babouche iz ovogodišnje ysl letnje kolekcije.

one of my newest polishes is jaune babouche from ysl latest summer collection.

obožavam žute lakove, pogotovo kad imaju i mango podton poput ovog. lak je pravo osveženje za mene, boja kakvu sam dugo išćekivala i od svih žutaća koje imam, formula mu je definitivno najsuperiornija.

nemam niti jednu zamerku na ovaj lak, tako da vas ostavljam sa slikama, uz komentar da ja ysl još jednom napravio pun pogodak!

prirodna svetlost:

i love yellows, especially when they have a mango underone, like this one. this polish is a breath of fresh air for me, the shade is absolutely breathtaking and out of all the yellows i have, the formula on it is far superior to any other.

there is nothing bad that i could say about this polish, so i'm leaving you with the pictures and the comment that ysl did it again!

catrice - birdy reloaded 700

volim da nosim žute lakove leti, a catrice birdy reloaded je prvi žutać kog sam ikad kupila!.

i love wearing yellow polishes in the summer, and catrice birdy reloaded is the first yellow polish i ever bought!

za birdie reloaded se priča da je dupe za chanel mimosa, ali nikad nisam videla poređenje, a nemam mimosu da to i potvrdim.

ovo je svetlija nijansa žute, ne poput žumanceta, sa suptilnim žutim šimerom koji čini formulu podnošljivom za mazanje, za razliku od većine žutaća. na granici je da bude pastelni, i na mojim slikama je više takav nego što je uživo. šimer je toliko suptilan da iz daleka, i u senci, izgleda kao krema.

pretpostavljam da sam konačno shvatila da je došlo leto, tako da ću verovatno nositi žute lakove ćešće.

birdy reloaded is rumoured to be u dupe for chanel mimosa, but i never saw the comparisons and i don't have mimosa to confirm it.

it is a lighter shade of yellow, not really yolk-y, with subtle yellow shimmer that makes the formula rather ok to handle, unlike many other yellows. it is on the edge of being pastel, and my photos make it look more so than it is in real life.  the shimmer is so subtle that from a far, and in shade, it looks like a creme.

i guess this means that i finally acknowledged the summer, and will probably wear more yellow on my nails.

dior 118 acapulco

dior 118 acapulco je drugi lak kog sam uzela iz dior-ove summer mix kolekcije (o lagoon sam pisala ovde).

dior 118 acapulco is another polish i got from the dior's summer mix collection (i wrote about lagoon here).

moram da priznam da žutu boju nisam podnosila i nisam imala ništa žuto ne samo među lakovima, nego i od odeće. i onda, pre godinu-dve mi je nešto kliknulo i sad je obožavam!
znala sam da moram da imam acapulco od trenutka kada sam videla promo slike, mada je dior ovaj put fino zeznuo stvar, jer su ove slike dosta drugačije od toga kako lakovi izgledaju uživo.
ova boja je meni sinonim za leto! prava limun žuta, bez ikakvog narandžastog podtona. formula je fantastična, pogotovo kad se uzme u obzir da su žuti lakovi noćna mora po pitanju nanošenja. kod ovog laka, čak i ako vam se učini da se vidi potez četkice, posle par sekundi se izjednači. na laku piše "gloss" i zaista ima visoki sjaj i žele finiš. sa dva sloja sam imala skoro potpunu pokrivenost, i bila bih zadovoljna time, ali nekad kod ovakvih boja mislite da je sve ok, a na slikama vidite da baš i nije pa sam se odlučila za još jedan sloj. postoji blago vidljiva linija nokta, ali to je i očekivano od želea. po prvi put u dugom vremenskom periodu nemam top coat.

i must admit, i hated yellow and didn't have any polish or any piece of clothing in this color. and then, about a year or two something clicked and i apsolutely love it now!
i new i had to have acapulco when i first saw the promo pics. mind you, this time, dior really did bad job with these because all the colors look quite different in real life.

anyway, this color screams summer! it is a bright lemony  yellow, but a REAL yellow, without any orange undertones. the formula is amazing, especially when you have in mind that the yellows are usually a difficult to apply. here, the formula is somehow self-leveling, even if you have a streak, it disappears after a few seconds. the finish has a high shine on its own (well, it says gloss on the package) and it is a jelly. i had almost a perfect coverage with two layers, but decided to add another one because what looks "completely covered" under a naked eye, it could be different in the pictures. there is a bit of a VNL, but this is expected from a jelly. i didn't use a top coat (this is a first for me!).

catrice 865 yellow sub-mandarine

865 yellow sub-mandarine je treći lak iz novog catrice asortimana kog predstavljam, i prvi s kojim nisam u potpunosti zadovoljna.

865 yellow sub-mandarine is the third polish from the new catrice range that i'm showing, and i am sad to say that i am not entirely happy with it.

boja je sama po sebi prelepa. volim ove tamno žute/svetlo narandžaste nijanse (ja ovu boju zovem "mango" jer mislim da je najbolje opisuje). ima i malo srebrnkastog šimera, koji je jedva vidljiv čak i kada sunce direktno pogodi nokar, pa sam morala da razmislim da li da finiš opišem kao krem ili kao šimer, ali sam se ipak odlučila za ovo drugo.

formula je mesto gde se stvari zakomplikuju. prilično je gusta i nije baš lako manipulisati četkicom. posle dva sloja, pokrivenost nije loša ali se vide linije četkice i ima par ćelavih mesta. nažalost, ovo nisam primetila dok sam mazala nokte jer mi je soba prilično mračna. nadlak je malo izjednačio površinu, ali i dalje nisam bila zadovoljna s rezultatom. treći sloj bi verovatno poravio stvar, ali mi se stvarno  nije dalo da stavljam još jedan sloj preko nadlaka, pa onda opet sve to da zacementiram nadlakom.


čudno, ali ovaj lak se baš dobro slika. fotografije na direktnom suncu su apsolutno verne.


prirodna svetlost:

the color itself is beautiful. i love these dark yellow/light orange shades (i call this color "mango", since i feel it fits them the best). there is a little bit of silverish shimmer, which is barely visible even when the sunlight hits the nail, so i had to really think whether to label the finish as a creme or shimmer, but decided to go with the latter. 

the formula is where things start to get problematic.it is quite thick and not the easiest to work with. after two coats, it gets opaque but everything looks streaky and there are some bold spots that i didn't notice while applying the polish (since my room is always dark). top coat evened out the surface, but i wasn't really satisfied with the result. the third coat would probably look better, but i didn't feel like adding another coat of polish on top of the top coat, and than to have to seal it with the top coat again.

strangely enough, it photographs excellently. the direct sunlight photos are exactly how the polish looks like.

već je 8 nedelja prošlo od prvog "nail challenge-a" na ana.rs forumu. sad smo dobili i svoju temu! iz tog razloga, mislim da je najbolje da moj prvi post bude mali omaž prethodnim danima!
