collistar grafite lacca (carisma)

collistar's grafite lacca, from their carisma collection for autumn 2011, is one of my favourite polishes ever. i got it as a present and simply love it!

this is the only collistar polish i own, and the one my friends used to borrow a bit too often. it has a brush similar to opi's, so it works awesome for me. the shade is the most perfect muddy of all times, just the right mixture of beige, taupe, grey with a dash of blue. 

formula is awesome, because everything abut this polish is awesome. i think i will never ever get to it's last drop (and i am approaching that stage) but i will continue preserving it and looking at it for the whole eternity.

chanel rose fusion (vamp attitude)

pošto je ovaj post najverovatnije poslednji za ovu godinu, rešila sam da izaberem baš poseban lak, i mislim da je rose fusion iz chanel-ove praznične kolekcije vamp attitude pravi izbor.

since this is probably my last post of the year, i wanted to finish it with a very special polish,and i believe that rose fusion from chanel's holiday collection called vamp attitude is just that.

 

moram priznati da bih ga verovatno preskočila da nije bilo slika od liv sa blushnglow bloga. bočica može da vas prevari da pomislite da je lak dosadan, a u stvari je jedan od najkomplesnijihh koje imam.

količina boja i finiša u jednoj bočici je neverovatna. kada je oblačan dan, izgleda kao prelepi duohrom koji se preliva iz ljubičaste u blatnjavu. na suncu postaje bronzikaszi metalik lak sa prelepim srebrnim šimerom.

stvarno je jedinstven i fantastičan, kao da imate drugi lak svaki put kad pogledate u nokte. pomalo se vide potezi četkice, ali nije strašno. postavila sam dosta slika jer zaista nisam mogla da oslolim.

oblačan dan:

i would have probably overlooked this one, if it wasn't for blushnglow. the botlle can fool you to think that this is a dull polish, while in reality, it is one of the most complex.

the amount of colours and finishes in one bottle is crazy. on  a cloudy day, it is a gorgeous purple to taupe duochrome, while at sun it becomes a more bronzy metallic polish with awesome silvery shimmer.

it is really unique and magnificent, as if you are wearing a different polish every time you look at your nails. the formula is a bit brushstrokey, but it's really fine. i have a lots of pictures, because i couldn't resist.

stvarno volim ovaj lak. nijansa je negde između tamno blatnjave i čokoladno braon, baš nekako jestiva i nikada ne izgleda pretamno.

formula je, kao i obično, vrhunska i laka za mazanje.

i really love this shade. it is somewhere between dark taupe and chocolate brown. so delicious and never looks too dark.

formula is, as usual, top notch and easy to work with.

a england virgin queen (elizabeth and mary)

vreme je za još jednoog a england lepotana, ovaj put je to virgin queen iz elizabeth and mary  kolekcije.

it's time for another a england beauty, this time it's virgin queen from elizabeth and mary collection.

virgin queen je jedan od lakova koje mi je skoro nemoguće da opišem. nijansa je u isto vreme i blatjava, i srebrna, zlatna, bronzana, čak i maslinasta.

takođe je istovremeno i blago metalik i duohrom, ali definitivno dominira rasejani holo efekat. formula je, kao i uvek, savršena.

prirodna svetlost:

virgin queen is one of the hardest polishes to describe. the colour is is at the same time taupe, silver, gold, bronze, even olive. pewter is maybe the one that sums it up the best.

at the same time, it is slightly metallic and duochrome, but definitely a scattered holo. formula is, as always, impeccable.

illamasqua facet (sacred hour)

nemam puno illamasqua lakova, ali su mi svi koje imam odlični. među njima se izdvaja facet, iz kolekcije sacred hour za jesen 2013.

i don't have a lot of illamasqua's, but the ones i have are amazing. and facet, from the sacred hour collection for autumn 2013,  may be my star.

facet je savršeni blatnjavko, koji naginje više ka braon na svetlu a ka sivoj u senci. ono što ga čini posebnim je fantastična kombinacija sa gustim bronzanim i zlatnim krupnim šimerom. rekla bih da je prilično jedinstven.

jedina mana, iako su formula i aplikacija u redu, mu je pokrivenost. malo je providniji, pa su potrebna ili dva deblja ili tri normalna sloja da sve bude odlično.

prirodna svetlost:

facet is a perfect taupe, leaning more towards brown in sunlight and grey in the shade. it's real beauty lies in the amazing maching with the dense coppery and golden fleckish type of shimmer. i would say its really unique.

one down side, although the formula and application are good, is the opacity. it is on the sheer side, and it takes either two really thick or three thin coats for perfect coverage.

ysl beige gallery (fall and winter 2013)

mislim da je moja opsesija ysl lakovima jasna, i mogla bih da kupim bilo koju njihovu nijansu bez razmišljanja i da se oduševim. beige gallery nije izuzetak.
 

i'm sure i made it clear that i could buy any ysl polish without even looking at it, and still be blown away by it. beige gallery is no exception.

nisam mogla da dočekam da se dokopam ysl tria za jesen/zimu 2013. beige gallery možda nije najjedinstvenija nijansa na svetu, ali je zacementirao moju odluku da se oslanjam na ysl kada su u pitanju kreme, sem ako nemaju ništa slično.

nijansa je malo teža za opisivanje, ali su mi slike prilično verne. nije ni potpuno blatnjav, ni potpuno bež ni potpuno braon, već negde između. meni je prelep, i identičan jednom od omiljenih džempera.

formula je izuzetna, a ysl četkica je moj definitivni favorit.

i was really anxious about getting the ysl fall-winter trio. beige gallery may not be the most unique shade in the world, but it cemented my decision that any creme polish that i buy will be from them (unless they don't have anything similar).

the colour is a bit difficult to describe, but my photos are really faithful. the shade is not completely taupe, not completely beige and not completely brown, but somewhere inbetween. i find it to be gorgeous, and it matches one of my sweaters perfectly.

formula is flawless, and ysl brush is my favourite.

samo pogledajte kakvi su sve dragulji u ovoj kolekciji. ja imam još samo foxy, ali kada bih morala da počinjem kolekciju od nule, počela bih sa vintage vixen.

ingrid je prosto savršena. bazna boja je prelepa svetla braon koja naginje ka taupe, skoro poput istopljene čokolade sa idealnom količinom zlatnog šimera. dok gledam ove slike, prosto imam želju da je opet mažem!

baš volim ovaj lak, sve u vezi njega je savršeno, uključujući formulu i nanošenje, i najbolji je dupe za dior exquis kog takođe imam i volim.

just look at all of the gems in this collection. only  other i have foxy, but if i had to start my collection from scratch, i would start from vintage vixen.

ingrid is just perfect. base color is amazing light brown leaning to taupe, almost like molten chocolate with just the right amount of golden shimmer. i'm looking at this pictures and i want to wear it again!


 i really love this polish, everything is perfect about it, including formula and application, and it's the best dupe for dior exquis that i also own and love.

chanel paradoxal 509

šta je ostalo da se napiše o chanel paradoxal laku, a da nije već rečeno? izašao je kao jedini lak u chanel-ovoj jesenjoj kolekciji 2010, i i dalje je jedan od najpoznatijih njihovih lakova, uz particuliere koji je izašao godinu dana ranije. u tom vremenu, oba laka su bila potpuno jedinstvena, ni jedan drugi proizvođač nije imao ništa slično, ali zato sada postoji gomila duplikata.

imala sam rimmel-ov odgovor u vidu hot list-a, ali sam ga poklonila mami mog dečka. isprobala ga je kad je bila kod njega u poseti, i kad me je pozvao i rekao da se ona oduševljava nekim lakom i njegovom bojom, formulom i četkicom, odmah sam znala da je u pitanju hot list. bila sam srećna zbog toga, jer se u mojoj okolini niko ne zanima za lakove pa nikog ne mogu ni da obradujem, a i zato što sam konačno imala izgovor da uzmem paradoxal.

what is left to say about chanel paradoxal, that haven't been said already? it was released as the only polish in their autumn 2010 collection, and it is still one of the best known chanel polishes,  together with particuilere that was released one year earlier. at that moment, both of these polishes were truly unique, with nothing even close to being a dupe, but now we have a lot of copies and dupes.

i owned rimmel hot list, but, when my boyfriend's mom came to visit him, she tried it and was so amazed with the color, brush and formula. i was very happy to give it to her as a present for two reasons, one is that my friends are not into polishes and i never have a chance to surprise them, and the second one is that i finally had an excuse to buy paradoxal.

boja je sada već odlično poznata pečurkica, blatnjavo-siva sa ljubičastim podtonom i šimerom koji je vidljiv samo pod direktnim suncem. formula je odlična, nanosi se bez problema, ali rimmel-ova lycra pro serija dobija poene po pitanju četkice, jer mi je to jedna od najboljih (ako ne i najbolja). uspela sam da uhvatim koji zrak sunca, dovoljno da probudim šimer,ali se meni sviđa kako lak izgleda i u hladu, ima neku dozu misterije i mislim da ovakvi lakovi svima dobro stoje.

the color is now well known mushroomy taupe-grey with purple undertone and shimmer that is really visible only under direct sunlight. it applied beautifully, pigmentation is great but this the brush is where i give points to rimmel, since their brushes in lycra pro collection is perfect. i managed to get a couple of rays of sun, enough to wake the shimmer up, but i really like how it looks in shade too, it has some sort of mystery around it and i am convinced that those colors look good on everyone.

sledeći lak iz opi skyfall kolekcije koji predstavljam je  the world is not enough. opi ga opisuje kao roze srebrnog.

the next polish from opi's skyfall collection that i'm going to show is the world is not enough. opi's description: this rosy silver is as addictive as it is beautiful.

volela bih da znam kako da opišem ovu boju, pošto je zaista kameleon. za mene je on srebrnkasto-taupe baza sa rozikastim, braon, srebrnim i zlatnim krupnim šimerom. prvi sloj je prilično providan, sa drugim se već dobija dubina ali sam zbog slikanja rešila da stavim i treći. mislim da ću se sledeći put zadovoljiti i sa dva. ako izostavimo pokrivenost, formula je standardno dobra.

i wish i knew how to explain this color, because it really is a chameleon. i see it as a silvery taupe base with rosy pink, brown, silver and gold shimmer. first coat is somewhat sheer, but it gains depth with the second one. i decided on a third for the purpose of photographing, but i think i will use two in the future. other than being shear, formula is good as usual.

comparison: rimmel hot list vs essence 73 princess prunella

pisala sam o rimmel hot list (HL) ovde i o essence princess prunella (PP) ovde. iako mi ne izgledaju kao potpuni duplikati, dovoljno su bliski da uradim poređenje.
PP izgleda kao mlađa sestra od HL. HL je nekako dublji i ima ljubičasti šimer koji mu daje draž. PP je svetliji i glavni ton mu više vuče na ljubičasto. mislim da čak i ako bih dodala još koji sloj PP, možda bi se boja približila boji HL, ali to opet ne bi bilo dovoljno da dostigne njegovu dubinu.

i wrote about rimmel's hot list (HL) here and about essence's princess prunella (PP) here. they didn't look quite dupey, but similar enough to match them side by side.
PP looks like HL's little sister. HL has much more depth to it, not to mention the purple shimmer. PP is lighter and the color is more purplish, and though with a few more coats it could approach the shade of HL, it probably still wouldn't have HL's richness.

sve u svemu, ipak mi se više sviđa HL, ali nemojte pogrešno da me razumete, i PP je divan lak!
u oba slučaja sam imala  bazu (opi start to finish) + dva sloja + top coat

verdict:
overall, i prefer HL. PP is also a cutie, don't get me wrong!
i used base (opi start to finish) + two layers of polish + top coat (essence better than gel nails top sealer BTGNTS).

pošto sam cele prošle nedelje bila na odmoru, ostala sam dužna i prethodni, bordo kolaž. moj izbor je bio essence hypnotic poison.

since i was away on holiday the entire last week, i am posting the burgundy collage one week late. i wore essence hypnotic poison.

prethodni petak je bio blatnjav. o, kako volim blatnjavce! pošto mi se mnooogo nosio dior trench, koji je delom i braon, nisam mogla da mu odolim.

last friday's color was taupe. i really love those muddy colors! since i was waiting for the opportunity to finally try out dior trench, even though it's part brown, i couldn't resist wearing it.

dior trench je deo dior nude kolekcije za jesen 2012, uz charnelle, grege i dune.

dior trench is part of dior's nude collection for fall 2012, together with charnelle, grege and dune. from dior: "the flagship model on dior runways, revisited in hues of rosewood spiced with a touch of beige: captivating elegance".

kada sam potrošila essence walk of fame pre nekoliko meseci, iz nekog razloga ga nisam zamenila drugim blatnjavkom. imala sam dilemu da li da uzmem chanel particuliere ili trench, pošto su prilično slični. ipak, sam se odlučila za trench, jer mi je dior formula generalno savršena.

boja je prelepa blatnjava braon krema i podseća me na milkšejk od čokolade :D formula i aplikacija su standardno savršeni, potpuna pokrivenst se dobija iz dva sloja sa visokim sjajem.

prirodna svetlost:

somehow, when i finished up my essence walk of fame sometime ago, i didn't get another muddy polish to replace it. i was in a dilemma whether to get chanel particuliere or trench, since they are quite similar if not dead on dupes. since i actually prefer dior to chanel, i made perfect choice.

this is a beautiful taupe brown creme that reminds me of chocolate milkshakes :D i can't even describe how amazing the formula and application are, it is opaque in two coats with glossy finish.

catrice 900 steel my heart  je treći i poslednji lak sa "brushed metal" efektom koji ću predstaviti, i meni lično najlepši.

catrice 900 steel my heart is the third (out of three) polish with the "brushed metal effect", and my favorite.

bazna boja je tamno braon/taupe, puna raznobojnih mikrošljokica (plave, zlatne, ljubičaste, crvene) koje mu daju svetlucav izgled. pošto se suši polu-mat, aplikacija je malo nezgodna, ali mislim da sam se do sad navikla pa mi nije predstavljala problem.

the base color is dark brown/taupe packed with microglitter of different colors: blue, gold, purple, red, which give it its sparkly look. because it dries semi-matte, the application is a bit difficult, but i guess i got used to it now so i didn't have problems.

catrice 905 steel my soul je prvi lak koji predstavljam iz njihovog novog asortimana za jesen 2012. već sam spomenula da sam ih uzela nekoliko, ali ne planiram da ih mažem samo za potrebe bloga, nego ću polako, jedan po jedan, uz uživanje :D

catrice 905 steel my soul is the first polish i'm wearing from their new colors for autumn 2012. i did buy a lot of them, and i am not planning to just swatch them but to wear them like i do regularly.

ovaj lak na sebi ima oznaku "brushed metal effect", što je njihov novi tip finiša. suši se polu-mat i ima teksturu. inače volim njihovu četkicu jer je ravna i deblja, ali za ovakvu formulu, koja je malo gušća, ne bi bilo loše da je četkica nešto tanja. boja je sivkasto-ljubičasta i ima dosta zlatnog šimera kom ne treba direktna svetlost da bi bio vidljiv.

this polish is advertized with a new finish, "brushed metal effect". they dry semi-matte and have a kind of textured finish. i love that their brush is wide and flat, but here i guess it wouldn't hurt if it was a bit narrower, since the polish is thickish i had to put two thicker coats to make it work. the color is greyish with a hint of purple (i read somewhere that they called it a purplish "greige", which is a pretty good description). it is packed with beautiful golden shimmer that doesn't need direct light to be visible.
