opi unripened (go goth)

it's so weird that so far i only had obscure from opi's go goth collection from 2010 on my blog. today i am showing my favourite from the four, unripened.

unripened is a polish that i regret not having in a big bottle. it is gorgeous, rich black base with teal shimmer. the shimmer is also duochrome, although the shift to pink is much more pronounced in the bottle and almost impossible to capture on nails.

can't really talk about formula, since i have the mini version and the brush always annoys me, but it is an exceptionally pretty polish, i am sad that my bottle is done now.

ok, vreme je da prestanem da zaobilazim ovaj lak u mom folderu sa neobjavljenim svočevima i da ga izbacim iz sistema: ovo je ophelia iz a england gothic beauties kolekcije.

ok, i think it's time to stop just over-passing this polish in my unpublished folder and get it over with: this is ophelia from a england gothic beauties collection.

ophelia je trebalo da bude fenomenalna. pogledajte samo promo bočicu! ispostavilo se da je u stvari najveće razočarenje u mojoj kolekciji!

ophelia je trebalo da bude super lep crni lak sa gomilom ljubičastog šimera. na kraju, potrebno vam je da fokusirate snagu 10 000 sunaca da vidite trag tog ljubičastog šimera. on je zakopan doliko duboko da je potrebno čudo da se pojavi. na sreću, uzela sam ga na jednoj blogorasprodaji pa nisam platila punu cenu, zbog čega se osećam malo bolje! inače, formula je dobra i koristim ga kao običan crni lak.

ophelia was supposed to be awesome, just look at the promo bottle! it turned out to be one of the biggest letdowns from my collection.

ophelia was supposed to be this supper gorgeous black polish with bunch of gorgeous purple shimmer. in the end, you might need to focus the power of 10 000 suns to see a glimpse of purple shimmer. it is buried so deep that it takes a miracle to see it. i got it off a blog sale so didn't pay the full price, which makes me feel better! otherwise, formula is nice and i use it as a basic black polish.

danas delim još jednu moju franken avanturu i ovaj lak sam nazvala stuck on puzzle.

potpuno sam oduševljena kako je stuck on puzzle ispao. ne-toliko-crn crn lak sa suptilnim holo šimerom koji nekako trčkara po površini. jedva čekam sledeću franken avanturu!

ovaj lak sam nazvala po jednoj od mojih omiljenih pesama, stuck on puzzle koju je alex turner napisao za film submarine.

još jedan lepotan iz a england russian soul kolekcije je natasha's dance.

nekako je ispalo da sam pre pola godine ponovo čitala rat i mit, kao što radim na svakih par godina, tako da mi je natašin ples vrlo svež  sećanju.

ne znam da li da opišem ovaj lak kao zacrnjeni plavi ili crni sa jakim plavim tonom, ali je definitivno taman. pod suncem se jasno vidi da nije čisto crn. živahni srebrni holo šimer ga čini dosta zanimljivijim.

funnily enough, i reread war and peace few months ago, as i do every few years, so i clearly remember the natasha's dance part in the book,

i'm not sure whether i should call it blackened blue or blue-toned black,  but it is a dark one. in direct sunlight it is obvious that it's not a pure black. it has this vibrant holographic shimmer that makes it pop out.

današnja zvezda je heathcliff iz a england kolekcije to emily bronte.

the star of the day is heathcliff from a england's to emily bronte collection.

heathcliff je definitivno atipičan lak za a england, što je jasno svima koji su bar malo uppućeni u brend. ipak, po meni kod njih nema greške.

heathcliff je crn, dobro pigmentovan jelly pun raznobojnih šljokica. koliko ja vidim, tu su plave, srebrne, crvene, ljubičaste i zlatne šljokice. zaista lep lak sa poprilično solidnom formulom za šljokičavi lak.

heathcliff is a bit atypical polish for a england range, if you are even a bit familiar with the brand. nevertheless, they can do no wrong in my book.

heathcliff is a black, well pigmented jelly filled with various microglitter. i can see blue, silver, red , purple and gold glitter. it is a very pretty polish with quite a solid formula for a glittery polish.

storm je jedan od lakova iz zoyine fantastične kolekcije ornate za zimu 2012.

storm is one of the polishes from zoya's awesome collection ornate for winter 2012.

storm je vrlo jednostavan lak u suštimi, ali to ne umanjuje njegovu izuzetnost. ovo je jedan od lakova koje svako treba da ima u kolekciji: crna baza ispunjena gustim holo česticama.

lak je zaista prelep sa odličnom formulom, kao duboko zvezdano nebo.

storm is a really straightforward polish, but nevertheless, a stunner. one of those that are a must have in every collection: a black base filled with dense holo particles.

it is beautiful and with a great formula, just like a deep starry night.

obscure je jedan od četiri laka iz opi-jeve go goth kolekcije za haloween 2010.

obsure was one of four polishes from opi's go goth collection for haloween 2010.

već dugo se ubeđujem da predstavim ovaj lak, ali sam odlučila da to već jednom obavim.

dok su ostala tri laka iz ove kolekcije lepotani, ovaj je bio razočarenje. uz to, nisam i neki obožavatelj opi mini lakova, ali nekad ne mogu da im odolim.

obscure u teoriji zvuči odlično, svetlo crni mat lak, ali formula ostavlja dosta brazdi. obično sam ga nsoila kao bazu za šljokice, tako da bih zamaskirala taj problem.

senka:

i've been reluctant to post this one for a long time now, but just decided to get it over with.

while i like other three polishes from this collection, this one was disappointing. also, i am not the biggest fan of opi minis, but sometimes i just can't resist them.

obscure sounds good in theory, soft black matte. but the formula is really streaky. i usually used it as a base for glitter topper, so that problem was masked.

nošenje a england lakova za mene je nekako kao specijalna prilika, i sa ovim je bilo isto. uvek sam fan zacrnjene bazne boje (ove, tamno, tamno zelena) ispunjene sitnim bronzano/zlatnim ljuspicama.

formula je, kao i uvek, neverovatna, jedna stvar na koju ovek možete da računate sa a england brendom.

prirodna svetlost:

having an a england polish on always feel like a special treat, and this one is no different. i am always a fan of a blackened base colour (here, it's dark, dark green) filled with fine bronze/gold glass flecks.

formula is as impeccable as always, one thing you can count on with a england brand.

ysl nuit noire (désir de jour)

današnja zvezda je nuit noire, iz ysl prolećne kolekcije za 2015, désir de jour.

today's star is nuit noire, from ysl's spring collection for 2015, désir de jour.

aktivirala sam svu maštu koju imam da shvatim kako se ova dva laka mogu smatrati prolećnim, ali sve što ja vidim su zimski praznici. (sećate se prošlogodišnje prolećne kombinacije, koja je bila savršena za jesen? :)) u svakom slučaju, nisam mogla da preskočim ovaj duo.

nuit noire se sastoji iz crne, pomalo providne baze sa srebrnim okruglim šljokicama. potrebna su dva deblja sloja za potpunu pokrivenost. suši se bez sjaja (ali ne teksturno), tako da je potreban nadlak. sve u svemu, fin, sladak lak ali ne za padanje u nesevest (takav postaje kad mu se doda nuit blanche, ali to je prila za neki drugi dan).

i tried to summon all the imagination i have to see how these two polishes could be considered spring-y, but all i see is winter holidays. (remember last year's spring collection, soooo perfect for autumn? :)). nevertheless, there was no way i would miss this duo.

nuit noire  consists of a black, rather sheer base with silvery round glitter. it takes two thicker coats to make it fully opaque. it dries rather dull (but not in a texture way) so it needs a top coat. overall, it is a nice, cute polish, but not superawesome. (adding nuit blanche makes it that way, but that's a story for another day).

danas predstavljam jedan praistorijski lak. u pitanju je gold old buffy iz essence vampire love kolekcije iz davne 2011.

this is definitely a blast from the past, because i am showing gold old buffy from essence's limited edition vampire love way back in 2011.

zaista mi nije jasno kako je moguće da nosim jedan lak više puta i na kraju ga predstavim nekoliko godina kasnije. ipak, bolje ikad nego nikad.

volim ovakve lakove: tamna, ali ne potpuno crna baza vrlo gusto ispunjena zlatnim ljuspicama.

gold old buffy je stvarno sladak lak, ali kako sada imam više sličnih, ovaj ima najlošiju formulu od svih. generalno nije loša, samo je malo tečniji i samim tim lošije pokrivenosti.

i seriously don't know how is it possible for me to wear a polish quite a few times and present it so many years later. well, better late than never.

i like polishes like this: dark but not completely black base densely packed with gold glass flecks.

gold old buffy is a really cute polish, and since i now own more than one that is similar, it is the one with the worst formula. it is not bad, though, just a bit to runny and not with the best coverage.

nastavljam sa starim svočevima koji su čekali svoj momenat da ugledaju svetlost dana, i danas je red došao za catrice oldtajmera, i wear my sunglasses at night.

i am continuing with the old swatches that have been waiting for their time, and today i'm showing a catrice oldie, i wear my sunglasses at night.

ovaj lak je jedan od prvenaca mog lakoholizma, i uz to i moje prvo razočarenje. samo gledajući bočicu, neiskusna kakva sam bila, očekivala sam da bude više poput deborah shine tech 18 (kog zaista moram ponovo da  uslikam). vremenom sam naučila da ga volim zbog onoga što jeste, a to je crni lak sa puno raznobojnih ljuspica.


moj najveći problem sa ovim lakom je da mu se formula vrlo brzo pogoršala. napravila sam grešku da ga nisam odmah slikala, jer je postao istovremeno gust i tečan, i sušio se bez sjaja. slike nisu tako dobre, ali pošto je davno potrošen, a nekako nikad nisam uspela da napravim bolje, šta je tu je.

i got this one in my nail polish beginnings, and i remember it being my first letdown. from the look from the bottle, unexperienced as is was back then, i expected it to be more like deborah shine tech 18 (that i seriously need to reswatch soon). with time, i learned to appreciate it for what it is, a black polish full with multicolored glass flecks.

my biggest problem with this polish though, is that the formula became funny really quickly. i made a mistake of not swatching it properly immediately. it became at the same time too thick and runny and drying to a dull finish. the swatches are not that good, but since this polish is long gone and i never managed to make them better, this will have to do.

today i'm showing the gorgeous darcy from picture polish opulence collection.

bila sam dete kada je izašla bbc verzija gordost i predrasude iz 1995te , ali me je potpuno očarala. sama ideja da mogu da postoje elizabeth bennet i fitzwilliam darcy a da to visu jennifer ehle i colin firth za mene je ravna bogohuljenju.

kada sam videla picture polish izbacuje trio koji kombinuje klasičnog (uz lizzie) i modernog (uz bridget) darcy-ja, morala sam da ga nabavim.

da, svesna sam da crni lak sa rasejanim holo efektom nije najjoriginalnija stvar na svetu, (zoya storm i deborah shine tech 18 poređenje je ovde), ali pošto mi je ova vrsta lakova najzgodnija za izlaske, uvek su mi dobra investicija. ve znam da li sam spomenula da se lak zove darcy?! potpuno je crn, sa odličnom pigmentacijom i formulom.

i was a kid when the bbc's pride and prejudice 1995. version appeared, but i was completely in love with it. even suggesting that there can be another elizabeth bennet and fitzwilliam darcy other than jennifer ehle and colin firth seems like blasphemy.

so, when i saw  that picture polish launched a trio combining the classical (with lizzie) and modern (with bridget) darcy, i knew i have to get it.

yes, black scattered polish isn't the most unique thing in the world (my zoya storm vs deborah shine tech 18 can be found here), but since these polishes are one of my go-tos for clubbing, i knew it is a good investment. oh, and did i mention it is called darcy?! it is completely black, amazingly pigmented with excellent application.

pošto sam crni bazni lak baš često nosila, mislim da je krajnje vreme da prikažem alessandro crystal punk set turquoise.

since i've been using the black base colour so often, i guess it is about time to show alessandro crystal punk set in turquoise.

ovaj set sam dobila kao rođendanski poklon od drage drugarice koja, kao i manje-više svi u mom okruženju, pojma nema da imam blog, ali je ipak zapazila moju opsesiju lakovima.

moram da kažem da je crni bazni lak pravi dragulj. ovde je prikazan u jednom sloju (sa china glaze strong adhesion kao bazom) i bez nadlaka, tako da se vidi kako ima visoki sjaj. formula i četkica su takođe odlični.

i got this set as a birthday present from a dear friend of mine who, as pretty much everyone in my life, knows nothing about my blogging, but is nevertheless aware of my nail polish obsession.

i have to say that the black base color is a true gem. here, it is shown as one coat (over china glaze strong adhesion base coat) and no top coat, so you can see how beautifully shiny it is on its own. formula and brush are also amazing.

opi 4 in the morning (gwen stefani)

when i saw the gwen stefani collection for opi, i knew i had to have 4 in the morning. so, the time has finally come to show it off.

the moment i put it on, i got that powerful feeling that i have when i wear black polishes (maybe this is the reason my nails were exclusively black during my bachelor's and master degree).

 this one is something special. i love this satin-like finish, combined with tiny silver shimmer. it is not the deepest of blacks, but it's gorgeous. the formula is easy to work with, and i think it can get away with one coat.

opi - stay the night (mariah carey collection)

mislim da je pravo vreme za još jedan opi liquid san lak, i posle can't let go, red je došao na stay the night.

i think it's time for another opi's liquid sand polish, and after can't let go, i decided on stay the night.

za mene je kombinacija crne i crvene uvek odlična. crna kremasta baza počinje da se suši sa nešto više sjaja nego can't let go, tako da je, i nakon što se osuši u teksturastu mat strukturu, za nijansu sjajniji. sviđa mi se kako crvenkasto-roze šljokice proviruju iz baze!

na dnu su slike sa dodatim nadlakom, i iako mi je i tako lep, interesantniji mi je bez.

the black and red combo is, at least to me, always a winner. the creme black base starts drying in a more glossy style than can't let go, so in the and, after drying to a texture matte finish, it is a bit shinier. i love the way the red-pink shimmer sneaks up from the base!

at the bottom of the page you can see the polish with the top coat. even though i find it interesting, i prefer it without.

revlon facets of fuchsia (expressionists)

za današnji temaski petak biramo omiljeni lak. teško je odlučiti se za jedan, i za mene, ovu poziciju gotovo podjednako dele  england saint george, dior czarina gold (kao moj prvi high end lak), china glaze 2nite (moj prvi  holo), ali sam se rešila da namažem revlon facets of fuchsia, pošto sam s tim lakom shvatila da sam postala lakoholičar.

today's theme is favorite polish. it's hard to choose one, and for me, this position is almost equally tied for a england saint george, dior czarina gold (as my first high end polish), china glaze 2nite (as my first holo), but i decided to wear revlon's facets of fuchsia, since it is a polish that made me realize my nail polish addiction began.

još uvek se sećam dana kad sam ga videla prvi put, skoro pre tačno godinu dana, na petak 10. 02. moja koleginica je alergična na kakao, i slučajno je popila kafu koja ga je imala malo i dobila blagi osip na licu, pa me zamolila da odem s njom do obližnje parfimerije da uzme nešto da ga prekrije. krenula sam s njom i iz razloga što nisam imala pojma da imamo parfimeriju preko puta posla, i, naravno, nisam ponela novčanik.

sa vrata sam ga spazila i odmah se zaljubila. pošto se ovo ne događa u srbiji, i koleginica mi nije toliko bliska, bilo mi je neprijatno da tražim novac od nje, nije mi zvučalo kao smak sveta da sačekam da ga uzmem kad krenem kući. ali, kao što to obično biva, eksperiment se razvukao i kad sam krenula kući, parfimerija je bila zatvorena.

tada su počele halucinacije! sledećeg dana, u subotu, sam imala DJ nastup u austriji, i već je bilo osmišljeno da ću da nosim ljubičastu haljinu sa crnim zvezdicama. pošto sam sad u beogradu i nemam haljinu sa sobom, evo slike sa žurke:

i still remember the day i saw it for the first time, almost exactly one year ago, on the friday 10. 02. my colleague is allergic to cocoa, and she accidentaly drank some coffee with it and got a mild rash and asked me to go to with her to the nearby drugstore to get something to cover it up. i went with her since i had no idea we head a drugstore across the street, but i didn't take my wallet.


and bam! i saw facets of fuchsia and immediately fell in love. since this is not serbia, and i'm not that close with this colleague, it felt awkward to borrow money form her so i decided to get it on my way home. but, as it always happen, i had a lot of work to finish, and when i went home. the store was closed.

that's when the hallucinations began! on the next day, which was saturday, i was DJing in austria, and from the beginning wanted to wear my purple dress with black stars. since i'm in belgrade now and don't have the dress with me, here's the pic from the event:

u mojoj glavi, ova haljina je mogla da se nosi samo ako imam revlon na noktima,  i da, ako ne budem imala taj lak, moj dj set neće valjati ničemu. sve u svemu, celu noć sam mislila kako ću ustati u cik zore da odem u tu parfimeriju (jer je jedina u kojoj sam ga videla) pre nego što krenemo za austriju. i dalje mi nije jasno kako sam se iskontrolisala da to ne uradim, i ipak sačekala ponedeljak da ga kupim.

jedna od omiljenih kombinacija uz koju nosim ovaj lak je današnja, uz moje ljubičasto-crne karirane pantalone:

in my head, this dress could only be worn with revlon on my nails, and that if i don't have the polish, my dj set would completely suck. that drugstore was the only one i saw the polish in, so, the entire friday night i thought about going there on a saturday morning before we start our journey to austria, but somehow managed to bring myself back to normality and decided to wait until monday morning!

now, one of my fav combos with the polish is how i'm wearing it now, with my black&purple checkered pants:

mislim da je krajnje vreme da okačim slike poslednjeg laka iz essence twilight: breaking dawn part 2 kolekcije, edward's love (jacob-a možete videti ovde, a alice ovde).

i guess it's about time to post swatches of the last polish i got from the essence le twilight: breaking dawn part 2, which is edward's love (you can see alice here and jacob here).

začuđujuće, ovaj lak mi je na kraju favorit od tri u kolekciji, iako mi je izgledao najmanje interesantan u bočici. bazna boja je crna, kombinacija kreme i sorbeta, sa srebrnim staklastim šimerom. kao i u slučaku ostala dva laka u ovoh kolekciji, formula je vrlo loša, lak je gust i  ume da "beži", ali se sa dva sloja dobija potpuna pokrivenost.

surprisingly, this polish turned out to be my favourite of the three, even though i liked it the least in the bottle. it is a black crelly with beautiful silver glass fleck, but again (for this collection), the formula is bad bad bad, thick and goopey at the same time, but it is completely opaque after two coats.

essence jacob's protection (breaking dawn le)

već sam predstavila alice had a vision-again lak iz breaking dawn kolekcije, a sad je vreme za jacob's protection.

i already reviewed the first polish from the breaking dawn collection, alice had a vision again, and now it's time for jacob's protection.

znala sam već iz prvih slika, a kasnije i po bočici,  da će mi ovaj lak biti omiljeni u kolekciji, i tako je i bilo. boja je, na neki način, tamno plava verzija alice. bazna boja je tamno plava, skoro crna, puta plavih, zelenih i zlatnih staklastih čestica. formula je opet bila loša, u kombinaciji sa debelom četkicom, ali ipak bolja nego kod alice. sledeći put kad kad ga budem nosila, dodaću nekoliko kapi razređivača.

judging from the promo pictures, and the bottle itself, this one was my first pick from this collection, and rightfully so. it is, in a way, a dark blue counterpart of alice. the base color is almost-black blue, full with blue, green and gold glass flecks. the formula is once again bad, in combination with the wide brush, but a little better than in alice. i will add a few drops of thinner next time i wear it.

china glaze cast a spell

dosta zanimljivih nijansi je bilo u china glaze kolekciji ove jeseni, ali je cast a spell bio taj koji me je odmah zainteresovao, i spada u jedan od lakova koji su me najviše oduševili ove godine.

i know that there were many interesting polishes in china glaze's wicked collection released this autumn, but cast a spell is the one i really really wanted. actually, this polish has to be one of my favorites this entire year!

ne znam da li uopšte rečima može da se opiše koliko je ovaj lak divan, a čak ni slike nisu dovoljne. bazna boja je tamno zelena / crna sa zelenim i zlatnim šimerom, mada, ako se udubite u bočicu, možete videti da ima još raznobojnih mikročestica. po meni, ovaj lak je jednoslojac. na ruci koju sam slikala sam dodala i drugi sloj, ali na kraju mislim da nije bio potreban. formula je zaista odlična. iako je dosta pigmentovan, uopšte nije gust i vrlo lako se maže.

oh, are there even words to describe how amazing this polish is, and even the pictures don't do it enough justice. it is a dark green going to black base with green and gold shimmer, but if you look really closely in the bottle, you can see that it is also packed with multicolored tiny shimmery particles. if you ask me, it is a one coater. i went with two after all, but i couldn't see the difference. the formula is beyond amazing. even though it is super pigmented, it is not thick and is really easy to work with.
