ysl blanc arty (street art)

while ysl is still my favourite nail polish brand, i have to sadly admit that my dream of having all of their polishes is disappearing: i missed on vandal orange, for example, from spring 2017 collection street art. but, i did snatch blanc arty.

i do love a good white nail polish, and blanc arty definitely falls in this category. although they tend to have unfriendly consistency, are prone to streaking and difficult to apply, they still look awesome on the nails. blanc arty is one of the best, if not the best, formula-wise.

chanel eastern light (reflets d'eté de chanel)

eastern light se prvobitno pojavio kao deo chanel kolekcije hong kong za zimu 2013, koju je bilo gotovo nemoguće naći. srećom, postao je i deo ovogodišnje letnje reflets d'eté de chanel kolekcije i moj je jedini izbor.

eastern light was at first featured as a part of a limited chanel hong kong collection for winter 2013, with western light, that was almost impossible to find. luckily, it resurfaced in this year's summer collection,  reflets d'eté de chanel, and it is my only purchase.

u poslednje vreme sam stvarno poludela za belim lakovima. postoji nešto u njima što, ako je formula kako treba, daje nekako čist izgled. nije čudno da mi je eastern light zapao za oko i već sam ga dva puta nosila.

formula nije najbolja, ali je ipak prilično samoizjednačujuća. kada prođete kroz nezgodni prvi sloj, drugi će prilično izjednačiti sve, i uz solidan nadlak ostajete bez vidljivih poteza četkicom.

nijansa je najbelja koju možete zamisliti, a opet nekako uspeva da ne bude krečast. stvarno mi je pun pogodak ovog leta.

prirodna svetlost:

i seriously got into whites lately. there is something about a white polish, of course, if it's well executed, that gives king of a clean look. so, no wonder eastern light really caught my eye. i wore it twice already.

formula isn't the smoothest, but is quite self leveling. when you get past the streaky first coat, the second one evens things out, and with addition of a top coat, you should end up being streak-free.

the shade is the purest white you can imagine, and it manages steering away from the kind of a plastic look. i'm really enjoying wearing it.

kada sam videla kolekciju anna gorelova (ako niste još otkrile njen blog, obavezan klik) za dance legend, lebedushka mi je bio prvi izbor.

when i saw the collection by anna gorelova (if you haven't checked out her blog, do it!) for dance legend, lebedushka was among my instant favourites.

lak je nazvan po animiranom filmu "swan princess" (za kog nikad  nisam čula :D). stvarno mi je ukrao srce, nekako je istovremeno i moćan i mekan, a svakako jedinstven u mojoj kolekciji. formula i četkica su odlični, i brzo se suši.

teško je opisati nijansu, ali je u pitanju svetla, ledena plava sa šimerom i teksturnom završnicom. u mojim slikama, na suncu ispada isprano, tako da sam dodala nekoliko slika u senci.

the polish is named after an animated movie swan princess (that i never heard of :D). it really stole my heart, it is powerful and fluffy at the same time, definitely an unique polish in my collection. formula and brush are nice, and it dries quickly.

it is hard to describe the color, it is s light, icy blue with sparkle and a texture finish. in my photos, the strong, direct light makes it look washed out, so i added quite a few in shade.

after a bit of a break (i was abroad), i am showing china glaze's white on white from their core collection.

beli lakovi umeju da budu prilično korisni. kad sam se preselila, ponela sam nekoliko šljokičavih topera sa sobom, ali sam dobila neku vrstu opsesije da ih nosim preko bele baze, koju nisam imala.

dosta dragih lakoholičarki je spominjalo white on white (mislim da je sve počelo sa baby's dolche vita), tako da nisam ni razmišljala o alternativama. iako ću ga nositi uglavnom kao bazu za šljoke, morala sam prvo da ga probam samog!

kad su beli lakovi u pitanju, formula ume da bude nezgodna, ali je ovde dosta pristojna. nisam imala ozbiljnijih problema s aplikacijom, i iako ostavlja tragove četkice tokom mazanja, sve se brzo samo izjednači, tako da je konačni rezultat odličan.

white polishes can be really useful. i brought a few glittery polishes when i moved, but i had some kind of a fixation that i only want to see them layered over white base, that i didn't have.

a lot of my polish loving friends were recommending white on white (it all started with baby's dolche vita), so i didn't even think of the alternatives. even though i will use it mostly for layering, i had to try it on it's own first!

when it comes to the white polishes, they can be quite tricky, but i think that this one is pretty decent. i had no serious problems with application, and while it may look a bit streaky in the process, it is quite self leveling so the end result is quite good.

opi - solitaire (bond girls collection)

prošlo je već dosta vremena od kad sam predstavila jinx iz opi bond girls liquid sand kolekcije, tako da je vreme za solitaire!
 

it's been a while since showed jinx from opi's bond girls liquid sand collection, so i guess it's time for solitaire!
opi's description: "this diamond-sparkling white is totally engaging."

stvarno sam želela beli lak sa teksturnom završnicom koji ipak ima malo "blinga" i solitaire je savršen!

bazna boja je nežna biserno-bela sa dobro odmerenom količnom srebrnih šljokica. formula i trajnost su istovetni kao kod drugih opi teksturaca (što znači-odlični). lak je potpuno suv posle 15ak minuta.


prirodna svetlost:

i really wanted a white textured polishes that had just a little bit of bling to it, and solitaire is perfect!

the base is soft, pearly white with just the right amount of silver flecks. it is as good as any other opi liquid sand in terms of application and wear (which means excellent). the polish is completely dry after about 15 min.

chanel intermezzo (fall 2009)

chanel intermezzo je izašao u jesenjoj kolekciji 2009te uz gondolu!

chanel intermezzo was released in their fall collection for 2009 together with gondola.

kada sam zaista počela da shvatam koliko je ovaj lak fantastičan, već ga je bilo skoro nemoguće naći. probala sam da se bar dokopam njemu sličnih, poput opijevog fit for queensland, ali ni njega nije bilo, i jednog flormara, koji takođe nikad nije bio na policama kada sam ga tražila. i onda, potpuno neočekivano, uhvatih intermezzo!

tako je elegantan i lep, sa njegovom mlečno belom bojom, ali ono što ga čini toliko posebnim je iridescentni rozikasti šimer, koji čini da nokti izgledaju osvetljeni iznutra i nisam mogla da prestanem da ih gledam pod različitim uglovima. formula je pomalo retka i ostaju tragovi četkice, tako da su potrebna tri sloja, ali mi se lak sviđa toliko da mu opraštam mane.

namazala sam ga istog trena kad sam ga uzela, kada je još bilo oblačno, tako da se, nažalost, ne vidi sva njegova lepota.

once i really started to realize that this polish is beautiful and amazing, it was already almost impossible to find it! i tried to put my hands on its supposed dupes, such as opi's fit for queensland, but not much luck there, and a flormar one, but it was never in stock. and then, out of a sudden, i found intermezzo!

it is so elegant and classy, with its milky white base, but what makes it special is the iridescent pinkish shimmer, that makes your nails glow. i really couldn't stop looking at my nails, moving them in different angles. the formula is a bit shear and streaky, it needed three coats but i liked it too much to hold this against it.


i wore it immediately when i bought it, when it was still cloudy, so its beauty isn't so obvious.

golden rose jolly jewels 115

i must congratulate the turkish company, golden rose, on this jolly jewels collections. the polishes like this are usually connected with indie brands, therefore, hard to find if you are not a polish addict. i got two of those when i was home in serbia last week, and i'm presenting my favorite from this collection, 115. it is such a shame that beauties these don't have names :(

115 is a dupe to china glaze's it's a trap-eze from the  cirque du soleil collection, but i was scared that it would never arrive to serbia so i decided to get this one after all.

i seriously dreamed of having a polish like this, and i also realized that it is weird that my association with it is bubblegum, even though i can't pinpoint it to a single one. weird. it is a dirty white base full with multicolored glitter: green, pink, white, orange, blue, you name it! i love this polish, it looks so fun but not over the top.

29. theme friday: white

nisam očekivala da će petak sa belom kao tematskom bojom biti toliko uspešan! učestvovala sam sa chanel attraction. obično na zadati petak objavljujem post o odgovarajučem laku, ali sam ovog nabavila pre par dana, pa, pošto je bilo previše oblačno da bih bila zadovoljna slikama, recenzija će morati da sačeka. sutrašnja tematska boja je braon.

i didn't expect that the theme friday with white as the theme color would be such a success, but it was! i wore chanel attraction, and i usually post on friday about the polish i'm wearing, but i got this polish a couple of days ago, and it was too cloudy to get decent pictures, so the review will have to wait. tomorrow's theme is brown!

miss sporty 70 and 27

ovo je još jedan oproštajni post, i ovaj put je red došao na moja dva najstarija laka.

već sam jednom napisala da ovi prastari miss sporty lakovi nemaju imena ni brojeve. doduše, postoji broj urezan na dno bočice, ali se razlikuje za isti lak tako da nije pouzdan.

kada sam prestala da nosim samo crne lakove (što mi je bila faza kroz celo studiranje), nisam previše razmišljala kada sam počela da nosim "boje", pa sam uzela ova dva, jedan sivi essence i neku electric blue coloramu, i mislila sam da sam time pokrila sve :D

prvi na redu je ovaj biserno beli lak koji mi sada deluje čudno na mojim noktima. posle toliko vremena, nema previše smisla da govorim o formuli, ali su potezi četkicom uvek bili vidljivi, dajući mu nekakav frosty ili chrome finiš.

this is another good bye post, and this time for two of my oldest polishes.

i already mentioned that for these polishes the codes and names don't exist. there is a number engraved on the bottle of the polish, but it varied for the same shades.

when i stopped wearing only black polishes (which i did during the college), i didn't think much when i started buying "colors", and i got these two, a grey essence and some kind of electric blue colorama, and thought i got it all covered. silly me :D

this one is a pearly white polish that looks strange on me now. there is no sense to write about the formula, since it is ancient, but the brush strokes were always visible, giving it a frosty, chrome-like finish.

drugi je rozikasto nude lak. još uvek mi je nekako drag, pošto mislim da ide dobro uz moj ten.

this one is a pinkish nude polish. i still have a soft spot in my heart for it, because i think it really looked good on me.

uvek imam neki čudan osećaj kada je vreme da neki lak ide u kantu. i tužna sam, ali i srećna jer se otvara prostor za nove!

koristila sam bazu (opi start to finish) + dva sloja + top coat (essence better than gel nails top sealer BTGNTS).

i alwas have this bittersweet feeling when it's the time to throw a polish in the trash, but the good thing is - it gives you space to buy a new one!
