dance legend velvet mini 6

i love dance legend, especially  their holos, but the velvet mini collection was also pretty awesome. i showed number 10 a while ago, and now it's time for number 6.

the shade is an awesome, vivid turquoise blue, a tad more green in real life than in the photos. the finish is satin-type of matte, due to the interesting, tiny silver shimmer. 

even though it's matte, the formula is awesome and it dries very quickly.

i love dance legend velvet collection, and i had to pick up a few polishes when the velvet mini (Бархат Мини) collection came out, so i'm starting out with number 10.

other than them having a matte, satin-like finish, this collection is very versatile with many different shades. of course, i had to get something green.

number 10 is a really gorgeous, vivid green with dense golden shimmer, it's drying matte and looks really fresh and unique.

opi ink suede (suede)

trenutno sam u mat raspoloženju, i baš volim opi suede kolekciju, pa sam rešila da pokažem ink u suede verziji.

i am currently in a matte mood, and i love opi's suede collection, so i decided to show ink in suede version.

volim ink u obe verzije, iako su potpuno drugačije. ink suede je prelepa patlidžan boja. suede zarvršnica je divna, mat ali puna srebrnog šimera koji mu daje satenski izgled.

formula je dobra i suši se brzo, tako da probajte da budete brzi inače će se videti potezi četkicom.

prirodna svetlost:

i love ink in both versions, but they are quite different. ink suede is beautiful, eggplant type of colour. suede finish is beautiful, matte but filled with silvery shimmer that gives it a sort of a satin look.

the formula is  nice and it dries quickly, so try to be precise, otherwise you will get brushstrokes.

obscure je jedan od četiri laka iz opi-jeve go goth kolekcije za haloween 2010.

obsure was one of four polishes from opi's go goth collection for haloween 2010.

već dugo se ubeđujem da predstavim ovaj lak, ali sam odlučila da to već jednom obavim.

dok su ostala tri laka iz ove kolekcije lepotani, ovaj je bio razočarenje. uz to, nisam i neki obožavatelj opi mini lakova, ali nekad ne mogu da im odolim.

obscure u teoriji zvuči odlično, svetlo crni mat lak, ali formula ostavlja dosta brazdi. obično sam ga nsoila kao bazu za šljokice, tako da bih zamaskirala taj problem.

senka:

i've been reluctant to post this one for a long time now, but just decided to get it over with.

while i like other three polishes from this collection, this one was disappointing. also, i am not the biggest fan of opi minis, but sometimes i just can't resist them.

obscure sounds good in theory, soft black matte. but the formula is really streaky. i usually used it as a base for glitter topper, so that problem was masked.

danas predstavljam love.angel.music.baby (lamb) is opi gwen stefani kolekcije za praznike 2014.

moram da priznam da mi je ovaj lak neočekivani favorit. odlagala sam isprobavanje, ali kad sam ga konačno namazala, oduševila sam se.

nijansa je bleda, zagasita zlatna, sa satenskim izgledom. šimer je prelep i uopte nije kičast ili previše napadan.

formula je isto odlična, samoizjednačujuća i pošto je predviđen da se nosi bez nadlaka, suši se brzo.

prirodna svetlost:

i have to admit, lamb totally surprised me. i was postponing trying it, but when i did, i was completely blown away.

the shade is a pale, muted gold, with a satin finish. it is shimmering gorgeously, and it is not at all kitschy or over the top.

formula is also awesome, self leveling and, since it is supposed to be worn without a top coat, it is drying quickly,

danas pokazujem još jedan lak iz raznovrsne dance legend kolekcije velvet, i ovaj put je to broj 651.

jedina sličnost 651 sa lakom kog sam već pokazala, 648, je mat finiš. nijansa 651 je prelepa mešavina plave i ljubičaste, tzv. periwinkle.


rešila sam da koristim vodenu bazu jer ona uvek bolje sarađuje sa mat lakovima. formula je krečasta, ali ne i nemoguća i nisam imala problema s aplikacijom i suši se prilično brzo.

the only thing 651 has in common with 648 that i already showed, is the matte finish. the colour on this one is periwinkle, a beautiful interplay of blue and purple.

i decided to use aqua base, since it is supposed to work better with complicated formulas. it is a bit chalky, but i had no serious issues and it dried pretty quickly.

u poslednje vreme mi se vratila opsesija mat završnicom. znam znam, uz mat nadlak možemo sve da matiramo, ali opet volim kad lak inicijalno izgleda mat.

648 (volela bih da ima ime) je zaista prelep. boja je vrlo bogata, mešavina tamno sive i plave, sa dubokim šimerom i prelepim somotskin izgledom. formula je odlična, bez brazdi i problema. prosto prelep.

lately, my love for matte finishes reemerged. i know i know, you can mattify anything, but i still like polishes that have the effect to begin with.

648 (i wish it had a name) is really gorgeous. colour is very rich, a mix of dark grey and blue, with rich shimmer and amazing velvet finish. the formula is good, no streaking and difficulties. just gorgeous.

prošlo je dosta vremena od kad sam imala china glaze na blogu, pa probijam led sa stone cold z capitol colors kolekcije za proleće 2012.

it's been a while since i had a china glaze on the blog, and stone cold from the capitol colors collection for the spring 2012 is a good icebreaker.

možda je čudno, ali meni je ovaj lak vrlo elegantan. čak sam ga nosila na nekoliko venčanja. možda je zbog mat završnice, možda jer doživljavam svaku nijansu sive kao elegantnu, čak i ako podseća na asfalt.

može biti jednoslojac, i bolje je ako vam uspe pošto se suši vrlo brzo pa nanošenje drugog sloja može da bude nezgodno. ali, ako su vam slojevi dovoljno tanki, nema problema.

prirodna svetlost:

it may be weird, but i see this polish as super elegant. i wore it to a couple of weddings, actually. maybe it's because of the matte finish, maybe because i see all shades of grey as elegant, even when they are asphalt-like.

it can be a one coater, and it is better if you try to pull it off, because it dries really quickly so the second coat can be a bit tricky. if you keep your coats thin, it's actually not a problem.

verujem da moja ljubav prema zelembaćima nije tajna, tako da mi je jealousy iz picture polish kolekcije mesh bio logičan izbor.

my love for the greens is no secret, so i had to have jealousy from picture polish mesh collection.

obigravala sam oko jealousy mesecima, pokušavajući da se ubedim da mi ne treba, ali bi stvarno bila šteta da nije deo moje kolekcije.

u pitanju je živahna, trava zelena šljokičava nijansa. iako su čiste šljokice, savršeno je gust i nema straha od ćelavih mesta. suši se prilično glatko, iako izgleda grubo i po meni je jedan sloj nadlaka dovoljan. naravno da sam morala i da ga matiram!

prirodna svetlost:

i was circling around jealousy for such a long time, trying to convince myself that i don't need it, but it would be a pity if i missed it.

it is a vivid, grass green  glittery shade. even though it's pure glitter, it is perfectly dense so there is no fer of lousy coverage. it dries smoothly, but looks a bit gritty. for me, one layer of top coat was enough. of course, i had to mattify it.

posle beatrix, liberty i vespa, vreme je za još jedan prelepi zoya pixie dust lak. u pitanju je chyna iz kolekcije za zimu 2013.

after beatrix, liberty and vespa, it's time for another gorgeous zoya's pixie dust shade, this time it's chyna from the winter 2013 collection.

skoro da sam preskočila ovaj lak i uzela sam ga tek u drugoj turi. mislila sam da, pošto je crven, nema šanse da će me oduševiti i grdno sam se prevarila!

lak je zaista prelep. bazna boja je bogata, tamno crvena koja se suši u teksturnu završnicu, sa svetlocrvenim šljokicama i sjajem koji prosto iskače iz baze. može da prođe kao jednoslojac, ali sam po navici namazala dva. formula i aplikacija su odlični, i suši se prilično brzo.

i almost skipped this one and got it in the second round. i thought, well, it's red, it's not like i'm going to be amazed by it. oh, how was i wrong!

this polish is super stunning. base colour is rich, dark red that dries into the textured finish, with light red glitter and sparkle that just pops out of it. it can be pulled off as a one coater, but i did two out of habit. formula and application are great, and drying time really fast!

ovi neverovatno vrući dani savršeno idu uz china glaze turned up turquoise iz njihove ink kolekcije za leto 2008, čiji je deo i klasik, flying dragon.

these excruciatingly hot days are perfect for wearing china glaze's turned up turquoise from their ink collection for summer 2008, that also gave us a classic in flying dragon.

odustajem od duge misije da uhvatim tačnu količinu tirkiznosti ovog laka, kao i mnoge druge napaćene duše pre mene. prikazaću dva najrazličitija rezultata, pri čemu je prvi bliži realnosti ali i dalje ne sasvim veran.

dok je mint postao moja prilično nova opsesija, tirkizni lakovi su bili na vrhu moje liste baš dugo. tut je živahan i morski a uz to neon i mat. taj efekat mi se toliko sviđa da za ovih više od godinu dana što ga imam, još se nisam zainteresovala da mu dodam nadlak.

moje iskustvo s neoncima nije veliko, ali moram reći da je formula kod ovog sasvim pristojma. prve dve slike su stare oko godinu dana, dok su ostale novije.

i give up on the long mission to capture the exact amount of turquoiseness of this shade, like many more poor souls before me. you can see selected two results, with the first one being more accurate, but still not right on the spot.

while my mint fascination started just recently, i am obsessed with turquoise for a long time now. and this one is vibrant and aqua-like while being neon and matte. i love it like this so much, that even though i own it at least for a year now, i still wasn't tempted to see how it looks with a top coat.

my experience with neons is not really vast, but i have to say that the formula of this one is not problematic at all. first two pictures are from a year ago, the rest are recent.

china glaze flying dragon je jedan od lakova koje nisam mogla da dočekam da dobijem. u tom periodu, ovog lepotana je bilo nemoguće naći u beogradu tako da, kad sam dobila informaciju da se pojavio (pre oko godinu dana) a ja van srbije, poslala sam jadnog md da ga kupi!

china glaze flying dragon is one of the polishes i was so anxious to get. at some point, this baby was so difficult to find in belgrade that when i got the info it was seen (this was about a year ago), and i wasn't in serbia, i sent my poor boyfriend to get it!

devojke ili vole ovaj lak ili se razočaraju, a ja sam i dalje u grupi jedan. postoje dve verzije, prva i starija je iz ink kolekcije iz 2008me i ona je tamnije ljubičasta. ova je novija, i ako neko zna kojoj kolekciji pripada, molim vas, napišite u komentaru!



ova verzija je svetla, gotovo magenta ljubičasta, sa plavim i roze zrnastim šljokicama. suše se polumat, što mi se prilično sviđa. formula je pomalo problematična (verovatno su ga zato zovu mat:)), ali, pošto sam ga već nosila, znala sam da su mi tri tanka sloja idealna.

sve u svemu, više mi se sviđa bez nadlaka.

prirodna svetlost, bez nadlaka: 

people either love it or get disappointed with it, and i'm still in group one. apparently, there are two versions, the first one is from the ink collection from 2008 and it's darker shade of purple. this one is newer, and if anyone knows which collection it belongs to, please, let me know!

this one is light, magenta-leaning purple, with blue ad pink particle-like shimmer. it dries semi-matte, which i rather like. the formula is a bit problematic (probably that's why the call it matte :)), but i already wore it so i knew that three thin coats are the way to go, at least for me.

bottom line, i prefer it without top coat.

zoya vespa (pixie dust)

imala sam sreću da sam došla u beograd baš kad su pixie dust i ornate kolekcije stigle u ultrasun, ali sam imala samo par sati fore u subotu da ih uzmem, iako sam u bg-u na drugoj strani ulice od us! tako da, probudila sam se u 8 ujutro (iako se vikendom retko kad dižem pre 11), obukla na brzinu i rekla md-u "ok, vraćam se za par minuta, moram da  uzmem neke lakove" dok je on mrmljao da se normalne devojke bude rano da odu po hleb i mleko :D

krajnji rezultat ste videli ovde. imala sam wl mesecima, par sam znala da sigurno uzimam, dok su neki bili na možda. vespa je bila jedna od tih drugih, ali čim sam je videla, znala sam da je uzimam!

i was lucky enough that i came home just as pixie dust and ornate collections arrived to ultrasun in belgrade, but had only a couple of hours to get them, even though the shop is on the other side of the street! so, i woke up at 8 am (on weekends, i rarely get out of bed before 11), got dressed quickly and told my bf "ok, i'll be back in a minute, i have to go get some polishes"  while he murmured that normal girls get up that early for bread and milk :D

the end result was shown in this post. i had a wl for months, with a few of them being sure deal and a few "maybe". vespa was on a maybe, but as soon as i saw the bottle, i knew i will have to buy her!

od svih tipova teksturnih lakova, zoyina pisxie dust mi je omiljena! vespa je prvi koji sam probala, a oni je opisuju kao mint šećerka. nijansa je pastelna svetla zelena, poput žalfije, sa finim srebrnim šećerastim šljokicama. finiš je tako poseban a boja nekako vintage, sve u svemu, ljubav!

vespa je malo ređa, pa sam nakon normalnog prvog sloja stavila deblji drugi. na jednom noktu desne ruke sam dodala i treći, ali pošto nije bilo značajne razlike, odustala sam. iako u zoyi ne preporučuju korišćenje baze uz ove lakove, ja ipak imam moj dragi opi start to finish.

from all types of textured polishes, zoya's pixie dust is my favorite. vespa is the first one i tried, and they describe it as "mint kiss with a sugared sparkle". the shade is pastel, light sage green, with fine silver sugary glitter. the finish is so refined and the color looks vintage and, bottom line, i'm in love!

it is a bit shear, so after a normal first layer, i added a thicker second. i tried a third one on one nail on my right hand, but it looked pretty much the same so i decided to finish with two. even though they recommend skipping the base coat, i have my dear opi start to finish.

31. theme friday: matte

tema prethodnog petka je billa mat, a ja sam u tu svrhu matirala golden rose jolly jewels 115. sutrašnja tema je boja šljive.

catrice 900 steel my heart

catrice 900 steel my heart  je treći i poslednji lak sa "brushed metal" efektom koji ću predstaviti, i meni lično najlepši.

bazna boja je tamno braon/taupe, puna raznobojnih mikrošljokica (plave, zlatne, ljubičaste, crvene) koje mu daju svetlucav izgled. pošto se suši polu-mat, aplikacija je malo nezgodna, ali mislim da sam se do sad navikla pa mi nije predstavljala problem.

the base color is dark brown/taupe packed with microglitter of different colors: blue, gold, purple, red, which give it its sparkly look. because it dries semi-matte, the application is a bit difficult, but i guess i got used to it now so i didn't have problems.

onovo jedna komplikovana boja, nazovimo je tamno sivkasto-plava :D lak je skoro jednoslojac, ali sam ponegde imala ćelava mesta pa sam rešila da namažem i drugi sloj. pošto ima polumat finiš, formula je dosta gusta. finiš je drugačiji od onog kod steel my soul, i izgleda nekako gumeno, ali mi je odlično!

the color is yet again difficult to explain, let's call it a dark greyish blue. it could be one coater, but i had bald spots on a few nails so decided to add a second coat. it dries semi-matte, so the formula is yer again thick. the finish is a bit different from steel my soul, it dries a bit rubbery and i love it!

catrice 905 steel my soul je prvi lak koji predstavljam iz njihovog novog asortimana za jesen 2012. već sam spomenula da sam ih uzela nekoliko, ali ne planiram da ih mažem samo za potrebe bloga, nego ću polako, jedan po jedan, uz uživanje :D

catrice 905 steel my soul is the first polish i'm wearing from their new colors for autumn 2012. i did buy a lot of them, and i am not planning to just swatch them but to wear them like i do regularly.

ovaj lak na sebi ima oznaku "brushed metal effect", što je njihov novi tip finiša. suši se polu-mat i ima teksturu. inače volim njihovu četkicu jer je ravna i deblja, ali za ovakvu formulu, koja je malo gušća, ne bi bilo loše da je četkica nešto tanja. boja je sivkasto-ljubičasta i ima dosta zlatnog šimera kom ne treba direktna svetlost da bi bio vidljiv.




baza (opi start to finish) +dva sloja laka, bez nadlaka:

this polish is advertized with a new finish, "brushed metal effect". they dry semi-matte and have a kind of textured finish. i love that their brush is wide and flat, but here i guess it wouldn't hurt if it was a bit narrower, since the polish is thickish i had to put two thicker coats to make it work. the color is greyish with a hint of purple (i read somewhere that they called it a purplish "greige", which is a pretty good description). it is packed with beautiful golden shimmer that doesn't need direct light to be visible.
