opi the "it" color (mod about brights)

i am obsessed with yellow polishes. i don't care what the undertone is, or if it looks good with my complexion, i just love seeing a good yellow. and opi's (ancient) the "it" colour from mod about brights collection back in 2008 is just perfect.

the "it" colour is a very interesting yellow shade. it is not quite mustard, but not your typical yellow. formula is quite decent and has minimal streaking. 

natural light:

opi tomorrow never dies (skyfall)

skyfall was probably the last collection from opi that blew me away.  maybe it's because i didn't own billion polishes at that point so it provided me with a lot of interesting shades. one of those was the gorgeous tomorrow never dies.

and tomorrow never dies truly is special. the shade is blurple/indigo, with that gorgeous blue and pink "powdered" shimmer that almost gives that "lit from within" kind of look.

the formula is slightly on the thick side, but good to work with and even though it looks like a stainer, that doesn't happen.

sunlight:

opi teas-y does it (burlesque)

teas-y does it was in opi's burlesque collection for holidays 2010.

it's one of those gorgeous vampy, deep purple shades with some brown undertones (more visible in pictures in the shade). it has a sort of duochrome type of shimmer, predominantly red but turning gold in certain angles.

even though it is old, formula is great with good coverage. definitely a must have, one of those elegant yet edgy polishes.

opi unripened (go goth)

it's so weird that so far i only had obscure from opi's go goth collection from 2010 on my blog. today i am showing my favourite from the four, unripened.

unripened is a polish that i regret not having in a big bottle. it is gorgeous, rich black base with teal shimmer. the shimmer is also duochrome, although the shift to pink is much more pronounced in the bottle and almost impossible to capture on nails.

can't really talk about formula, since i have the mini version and the brush always annoys me, but it is an exceptionally pretty polish, i am sad that my bottle is done now.

opi honey ryder (bond girls)

i am still on board of the textured polishes bandwagon, and i really love opi's honey ryder from their bond girls collection.

honey ryder, named after the epitomic bond girl played by ursula andress, is a champagne gold shade. it has gold glitter in it, dries superfast and is a definite one coater. i would call it a festive shade, but i love to wear it when i'm in a (typical) all black outfit.

pre nego što sam zapošela ovaj post, uopšte nisam bila svesna toga da je opi-jev lak have you seen my limo toliko star. izašao je kao deo holiday in hollywood kolekcije za praznike 2007.

before i started this post, i was completely unaware that opi's have you seen my limo is such an old polish! the collection it was in, holiday in hollywood, was released for holidays 2007.

nije mi jasno kako su u opi-ju ovoliko mogli da promaše promo sliku, jer nije ni približno onakva kako ovaj lak izgleda. trebalo bi da bude i blago duohrom, ali no ne vidim i neću ga tako označiti. ipak, obožavam ovaj lak i mislim da je jasno zašto.

limo je prelepa ljubičasto-patlidžanasta nijansa sa neverovatnim suptilnim zelenim i srebrnim šimerom kog mog kamera prosto ne ože da ulovi. veoma mi je žao zbog toga jer taj šimer je baš to što ovom laku da je specijalni momenat.

prirodna svetlost:

i have no idea how opi managed to mess up the promo picture like this, because it's not even similar to what it looks in real life. it is supposed to be slightly duochrome as well, but i definitely can't see it. nevertheless, i adore this polish, and i think it's easy to see why.

limo is a purple-eggplant type of shade with awesome subtle green and subtle shimmer that my camera just can't seem to catch. this is such a pity because it is what gives this polish that extra special touch. it is so rich and pretty!

opi-jev muir muir on the wall je jedan od skrivenih dragulja njihove san francisco kolekcije za jesen 2013.

opi's muir muir on the wall is one of their hidden gems from san francisco collection for autumn 2013.

muir muir on the wall je nekako često zanemaren u moru njihovih zatamljenih šimera, i to potpuno nepravedno. ovo je prelepa zacrnjena šljivasta/bordo nijansa, sa zlatkastim šimerom i blagim duohrom efektom.

ovo je zista prelepa, elegantan ali i misteriozan lak. formula je odlična i definitivno lak koji bih preporučila.

prirodna svetlost:

muir muir on the wall is somehow getting neglected in opi's world of gorgeous darkened shimmers, and it's completely unfair. it is such a gorgeous blackened plum/burgundy shade, with goldish shimmer and a slight duochrome effect.

it's a very gorgeous, elegant but mysterious polish. formula is awesome and it is definitely a polish i would recommend.

u opi-ju su 2014te izbacili neon kolekciju, i moj jedini izbor je bio you are so outta lime.

in 2014 opi launched a neon collection, and i purchased only you are so outta lime.

dugo sam želela zeleni neon lak, i you are so outta lime je izgledao kao savršen izbot.

u pitanju je srednje zelena, istovremeno nekako i jarka i zamućena. formula je na početku bila nekako neujednačena ali se na kraju sve sredilo. rešila sam da ga nosim bez belog laka ispod i nemam zamerki na izgled.

oblačan dan:

i wanted someting green and neon-y for a while, and you are so outta lime looked like exactly what i needed.

it is a medium green, somehow bright and muted at the same time. formula was a bit streaky to start with, but it evened out nicely. i decided to wear it with out a white polish beneath, and i have no regrets.

overcast:

opi no room for the blues (bright pair)

opi bright pair kolekcija je skoro pa preistorijska, jer se pojavila davne 2009, ali se nekoliko lakova zadržalo kao favorit. jedan od njih je svakako no room for the blues.

opi's bright pair collection is ancient, since it was released in 2009, but a few polishes found they way to stay relevant. no room for the blues is definitely one of them.

kod mene plavih lakova nikad dosta, a no room for the blues mi je jedna od omiljenih krema.

nijansa je prelepa, jarka srednje plava. formula je savršena. iako je star, beskprekorno se maže. gotovo sam sigurna da ova nijansa stoji svakom tonu kože, toliko je univerzalna!

prirodna svetlost:

i can never have enough of blue polishes, and no room for the blues is one of my favourite cremes.

it is a gorgeous bright medium blue. the formula is a perfection, even though it's old, it flows effortlessly. i am pretty sure that this shade can fit every skin tone, it's so universal.

leto se približava, pa je vreme da se okrenem živahnim lakovima, poput opi  i just can't cope-acabana iz kolekcije za leto 2014, brazil.

summer is approaching, so it's time for bright polishes, such as opi i just can't cope-acabana from summer collection brazil 2014.

uvek sam otvorena ka novim žutim lakovima, i ovaj je sada negde u vrhu te liste.

 i just can't cope-acabana je savršena svetla i nekako pastelna žuta. tako živahna nijansa, sa prlično dobrom formulom, pogotovo kad se uzme u obzir kako naporne žute umeju da budu. obožavam ga!

i am always open to new yellow shades, and this one is now among my favourites.

i just can't cope-acabana is a perfect, bright and somehow pastel yellow. it is such a vivid shade, with a pretty good formula, especially when you keep in mind that yellows can be a nightmare. i love it!

opi california raspberry

deluje mi kao nemoguća misija da otkrijem kojoj kolekciji pripada opi california raspberry, ali postoje ubedljivi dokazi da je pripadao prvoj kolekciji!

it seems like an impossible task to pinpoint opi's california raspberry to a specific collection, but there is evidence that it might go back to their first collection.

uzela sam california raspberry kada je draga lakoholičarka rešila da udomi deo kolekcije. iako na prvu loptu ne izgleda kao moja standardna boja, kad sam ga proverila, bilo mi je nešto privlačno u njemu a i bila sam u deficitu ženstvenijih nijansi.
california raspberry je interesantna kombinacija fuksija i hladne roze nijanse, sa srebrnim šimerom koji je skoro iridiscentan, možda i holo. definitivno ne uobičajena roze nijansa, što me je i pozvalo da ga uzmem. formula je besprekorna.

prirodna svetlost:

i picked up california raspberry when a friend was destashing, even though it doesn't look like my usual shade, there was something appealing to me when i looked it up, and at that point i really had no polishes like this.

california raspberry is an interesting mix of fuchsia and cool pink, with silver shimmer that is almost iridescent or even holo. definitely not your usual pink shade, which is what made it appealing to me. formula is flawless.

zaista ne znam kako je moguće da još nisam napravila post o every month is oktoberfest iz opi-jeve germany kolekcije, ali to konačno menjam.

wow, i have no idea how is it possible i still haven't swatched every month is oktoberfest from opi's germany collection, but here it goes.

every month is oktoberfest (emio) je već legendaran lak i o njemu su napisani postovi i postovi tako da mi je baš teško da pišem o njemu.

lak je zaista pravo sevršestvo. prelepa tamna ljubičasto/crvena baza sa bogatim zlatnim i crvenim šimerom. tako je vamp i lep i stvarno obavezan lak u svačijoj kolekciji, kakve god nijanse da uobičajeno nosite.

priroda svetlost:

every month is oktoberfest (emio) is already a legendary polish and there are so many posts written about it that i am really stuck now.

it is stunningly gorgeous. a dark, purplish/red base with rich red and gold shimmer. it is so rich and vampy and pretty and a definitive must have in any girl's collection, whatever her colour preferences.

my pick of the day is the gorgeous yodel me on my cell from opi's swiss collection back in fall 2010.

rekla bih da je yodel me on my cell nezasluženo zanemaren lak. nekako je udavljen u moru sličnih plavih lakova, ali ja ga smatram odličnim ulovom.

bazna boja je plava koja naginje na tirkiznu, uz dodatak svetlijeg šimera i iridescentnih ljuspica koje mu daju onaj izgled "sjaja iznutra". baš sam bila pozitivno iznenađena kako dobro izgleda. formula je takože solidna, tako da je ovaj lak za mene pun pogodak!

i have a feeling that yodel me on my cell is such an overlooked polish. somehow it's drowned in the sea of blue polishes, but i think that it's quite a catch.

the base colour is turquoise-leaning blue, combined with lighter shimmer and kind of iridescent small flakies that gives the polish that "glow from the inside" kind of look. i was surprised at how good it looks. formula is also decent and to me, this polish is a winner!

trenutno sam u mat raspoloženju, i baš volim opi suede kolekciju, pa sam rešila da pokažem ink u suede verziji.

i am currently in a matte mood, and i love opi's suede collection, so i decided to show ink in suede version.

volim ink u obe verzije, iako su potpuno drugačije. ink suede je prelepa patlidžan boja. suede zarvršnica je divna, mat ali puna srebrnog šimera koji mu daje satenski izgled.

formula je dobra i suši se brzo, tako da probajte da budete brzi inače će se videti potezi četkicom.

prirodna svetlost:

i love ink in both versions, but they are quite different. ink suede is beautiful, eggplant type of colour. suede finish is beautiful, matte but filled with silvery shimmer that gives it a sort of a satin look.

the formula is  nice and it dries quickly, so try to be precise, otherwise you will get brushstrokes.

danas imam pravu šljokičavu bombu za vas, temptation iz opi designer series kolekcije.

today i have a glitter bomb for you, temptation from opi's designer series.

temptation je bio deo designer series za 2011 i stvarno je šljokičava bomba!

baza je tamno ljubičasta jelly, sa dosta različitih šljokica: od malih do velikih plavih i ljubičastih uz poneku roze. trebala su tri sloje da bih imela pokrivenost uz moju dužinu noktiju. naravno, morala sam da ga matiram, slike su pri kraju posta.

prirodna svetlost:

temptation was part of designer series for 2011, and it sure is a glitter bomb.

it is a dark purple jelly packed with so much glitter, from large to tiny purple and blue and some pink even. it took three coats to make it opaque with my nail length. of course i had to mattify it, which you can see in the picture below.

obscure je jedan od četiri laka iz opi-jeve go goth kolekcije za haloween 2010.

obsure was one of four polishes from opi's go goth collection for haloween 2010.

već dugo se ubeđujem da predstavim ovaj lak, ali sam odlučila da to već jednom obavim.

dok su ostala tri laka iz ove kolekcije lepotani, ovaj je bio razočarenje. uz to, nisam i neki obožavatelj opi mini lakova, ali nekad ne mogu da im odolim.

obscure u teoriji zvuči odlično, svetlo crni mat lak, ali formula ostavlja dosta brazdi. obično sam ga nsoila kao bazu za šljokice, tako da bih zamaskirala taj problem.

senka:

i've been reluctant to post this one for a long time now, but just decided to get it over with.

while i like other three polishes from this collection, this one was disappointing. also, i am not the biggest fan of opi minis, but sometimes i just can't resist them.

obscure sounds good in theory, soft black matte. but the formula is really streaky. i usually used it as a base for glitter topper, so that problem was masked.

danas predstavljam love.angel.music.baby (lamb) is opi gwen stefani kolekcije za praznike 2014.

moram da priznam da mi je ovaj lak neočekivani favorit. odlagala sam isprobavanje, ali kad sam ga konačno namazala, oduševila sam se.

nijansa je bleda, zagasita zlatna, sa satenskim izgledom. šimer je prelep i uopte nije kičast ili previše napadan.

formula je isto odlična, samoizjednačujuća i pošto je predviđen da se nosi bez nadlaka, suši se brzo.

i have to admit, lamb totally surprised me. i was postponing trying it, but when i did, i was completely blown away.

the shade is a pale, muted gold, with a satin finish. it is shimmering gorgeously, and it is not at all kitschy or over the top.

formula is also awesome, self leveling and, since it is supposed to be worn without a top coat, it is drying quickly,

moj favorit iz opi-jeve nordic kolekcije je svakako my dogsled is a hybrid.

my favourite from opi's nordic collection is definitely my dogsled is a hybrid.

my dogsled is a hybrid je prelepa morsko-zelena nijansa. skoro je boja žada, ali opet dovoljno živa.

brinula sam se oko formule, ali se ispostavilo da je baš dobra, tako da je ovaj lak svakako moja preporuka.

i was worried about the formula a bit, but it turned out to be really easy to work with so i can definitely recommend this polish..

opi tapestry (designer series 29)

danas pokazujem tapestry, jedan stariji lak iz opi designer series kolekcije.

i am showing one of the older opi designer series polishes, tapestry.

opi designer series mi je dugo bila slaba tačka, jer do ne toliko davno nije bilo lako dokopati se holo laka.

tapestry je nijansa koju mi je teško opisati (crvene boje su mi problematične.) crveni ton preovlađuje, ali ima dosta roze pa čak i narandžastih podtonova. formula je odlična.

prirodna svetlost:

i had a soft spot for opi's designer series, since back in the days there was not that many holos.

tapestry is a soft shade with a colour that is hard to explain (well, for me, reds are problematic). it's mostly a red shade, with a lot of pink and even orangey undertones. formula is really nice.

vreme je za još jednog starojka, your royal shine-ness  iz dalekog leta 2011 kada je opi izbacio serena glam slam england kolekciju.

it's again time for an oldie, your royal shine-ness from way back in the summer of 2011, when opi's serena glam slam england collection was released.

nakupila sam pozamašan broj srebrnih folija. tačnije tri, i to je verovatno previše, ali jedan od njih je zoya trixie, moj prvenac i lepotan, a drugi je novitet chanel intemporel. opi je definitiovno najnepotrebniji, ali zbog imena ne mogu da ga se otarasim tek tako.

u pitanju je srednje do tamno srebrna folija za vrlo dobrom formulom i bez tragova četkice. definitivno ne najjedinstveniji lak, ali ako nemate ništa slično, on je odličan izbor.

i acquired a fair share of silver foils. ok, i have three currently, and it might be too much, but one of them is zoya trixie, that was my first and it's a pretty little thing, the other is my newest addition, chanel intemporel. so, opi is definitely the unnecessary one, but i can't get rid of it because of the name.

it is a medium to dark silver foil with really good formula and zero brushstrokes. definitely not the most unique polish, but if you don't have anything similar, this one is an excellent choice.
