chanel graphite (illusions d'ombres)

nakon što sam prikazala i quartz i peridot iz chanel-ove illusions d'ombres kolekcije za jesen 2011, krajnje je vreme da prikažem i treći, graphite.

after showing quartz and peridot from chanel's illusions d'ombres collection for autumn 2011, it was about time to show the third one, graphite.

graphite je tamno srebrni lak, ali ovo je previše jednostavan način da se opiše tačna nijansa. u pitanju je metalik, folijast lak koji izgleda pomalo teksturno iako se suši potpuno glatko,

ovaj nebičan finiš mu daje dodatnu dubinu, pa u senci postaje više limen, skoro zelenkast. formula je odlična, do te mere da mi čak ni chanel četkica nije smetala.

prirodna svetlost:

graphite is a dark silver, but this is quite an oversimplification of its colour. it is a metallic, foily polish that looks a bit textured, while being perfectly smooth.

this unusual finish gives it more depth, so in shade it becomes more pewter-y, even greenish. formula is amazing, so much that even the chanel brush is not annoying me.

vreme je za još jednog starojka, your royal shine-ness  iz dalekog leta 2011 kada je opi izbacio serena glam slam england kolekciju.

it's again time for an oldie, your royal shine-ness from way back in the summer of 2011, when opi's serena glam slam england collection was released.

nakupila sam pozamašan broj srebrnih folija. tačnije tri, i to je verovatno previše, ali jedan od njih je zoya trixie, moj prvenac i lepotan, a drugi je novitet chanel intemporel. opi je definitiovno najnepotrebniji, ali zbog imena ne mogu da ga se otarasim tek tako.

u pitanju je srednje do tamno srebrna folija za vrlo dobrom formulom i bez tragova četkice. definitivno ne najjedinstveniji lak, ali ako nemate ništa slično, on je odličan izbor.

prirodna svetlost:

i acquired a fair share of silver foils. ok, i have three currently, and it might be too much, but one of them is zoya trixie, that was my first and it's a pretty little thing, the other is my newest addition, chanel intemporel. so, opi is definitely the unnecessary one, but i can't get rid of it because of the name.

it is a medium to dark silver foil with really good formula and zero brushstrokes. definitely not the most unique polish, but if you don't have anything similar, this one is an excellent choice.

zoya zuza (surf)

uz svu pixie dust pomamu, mislim da je vreme da prikažem zoya lak iz neke druge kolekcije. ovaj put je izbor pao na lak zuza iz njihove surf kolekcije za leto 2012.

after all the pixie dust craze, it's about time to show one of the zoyas from different collections. this time i'm presenting zuza from their surf collection for summer 2012.

u zoya-i imaju stvarno dobro oko kad opisuju svoje lakove, pa ću da to sikoristim. zuza je "duboka, bogata morsko tirkizna boja sa zlatnim i srebrnim metalik šimerom i folijastom završnicom. odlična nijansa za plažu sa savršenim balansom između plave i zelene".

na mojim slikama ispada za nijansu plavlje nego uživo. definitivno nemam ništa slično, stvarno je interesantan lak sa fantastičnom formulom.

well, guys at zoya are doing a great job about describing their polishes, so i'm just going to quote them. zuza is a "deep, saturated, oceanic turquoise with gold and silver metallic shimmer and a foil-like finish. a beachy, colorful, foil-like shade with the perfect balance between blue and green".

in my pictures, it is a tad more blue that in real life. it is like nothing i own, it is really interesting polish with a fantastic formula.

essence choose me! (colour& go 38)

choose me! je bio moj omiljeni essence lak. jedini razlog zašto sam uzela nyx sea of cortez je jer sam konačno mogla opušteno da mažem choose me bez straha da ću ga potrošiti.

choose me! was my favourite essence polish. the only reason i got nyx sea of cortez is because i finally could wear this one without the fear of emptying it!
 

ispostavilo se da mu je nyx sea of cortez skoro identičan (u stvari, oba su "kopije" zoya charla) tako da, sve što sam napisala za nyx važi i ovde. slike su iz dve različite prilike, jer sam prvi put zaboravila slike u zatvorenom. u stvari, ovaj poslednji put, lak mi je bio već gotov tako da sam na desnoj ruci imala nyx, a razlika se nije mogla primetiti!

ne mogu da nosim ovaj lak a da ne pomislim na more i sirene. baza je plavkasto/petrolej žele, sa zlatnim ljuspicama i zelenim šimerom. iako je prelep, malo me nervira što ovim lakovima treba tri sloka, pa čak i tad, linija nokta ume da se providi. ipak, toliko mi je drag ovaj tip laka da ću uzeti i charlu kad se nyx približi svom kraju.

it turned out that nyx sea of cortez is it's exact dupe (or, i should say, both of them are dupes for zoya's charla), so all that i wrote about nyx, applies here. i'm posting pictures from two different occasions, since the first time i didn't make indoors pics. actually, that time i was already short on the polish, so i wore nyx on my right hand, and the difference was unnoticeable!

you can't wear this polish without thinking of mermaids! the base colour is bluish/tealish jelly with golden flakies and green shimmer. while it is pretty gorgeous, it's annoying that both of these polishes need three coats, and even with that, nail line can be visible. nevertheless, i plan to get charla too, once nyx approaches it's end.

a england excalibur revamped (the mythicals)

ovaj mesec završavam predstavljanjem prelepog laka excalibur (nova verzija) iz a england the mythicals kolekcije.

i will finish this month with the swatches of the gorgeous excalibur (the new version) from the a england's the mythicals collection.

volim da nosim lakove sa folijastom završnicom u jesen i zimu, i iako je vreme kod mene više prolećno, bez prave zime, ostajem verna ovakvim lakovima.

inspiracija za ime mi je jasna, sudeći po zvaničnom opisu: "čelično siva nijansa ispunjena šimerom različitih veličina, koji stvara fuziku srebrnog i zlatnog - nijansa koja se poklapa sa herojevom oštricom".

boja je teška za opisivanje, pošto je istovremeno i srebrna i zlatna, sa zrnastim, nepravilnim zlatnim ljuspicama. izgleda kao staro zlato, prekriveno patinom. po meni je prelepo, bogat, gladak i sa odličnom pokrivenošću.

slike su napravljene na direktnom svetlu i u senci.

i love wearing polishes with foil finish in the winter and autumn, so, even though the weather here is more of the spring kind, i'm staying loyal to these shades.

i can see the reason behind the name from the official description: "a steely grey hue filled with multi-dimensional shimmer, creating a unique fusion of silver and gold - a shade to match a hero's blade".

the colour is so hard to describe,  because it's both silver and gold, with grainy, irregular golden flakes. it has that old gold covered with patina feel. it's gorgeous, rich, with no brushstrokes and excellent opacity.

zoya hazel (irresistible)

i just realized that this will be my last swatch of the year, and i like to think is great to finish it with a gorgeous polish such as zoya's hazel!

hazel is is beauty from zoya's spring collection irresistible. it has everything i like: the base colour that is definitely unique, an icy, steely blue with goldish flakes that i would never think would go well with the base, but they fit perfectly.

the finish is both foil and metallic, but there's no problem with application or brushstrokes. i am really impressed with this polish, it looks a bit space-y.

meet me on the star ferry from opi's hong kong collection back in spring 2010 for me is a granny colour with a twist!

oduvek sam imala pomešana osećanja prema ovom laku. izgledao mi je zanimljiv u bočici, ali iako obično ne razmišljam o tome da li mi neka nijansa stoji ili ne ako mi se lak sviđa, za ovog sam se plašila da će mi ruke izgledati staro. izgleda da se to ipak nije desilo!

boja je baš teška za opisivanje. po meni, uglavnom je prljavo rozikasti mauve, ali može da povuče i na šljivasto, ljubičasto, roze pa čak i braon. zlatni šimer je dominantan, ali ima dosta raznobojnog šimera. i finiš je malo pipav za opisivanje. nije očigledna folija, ali nije ni jednostavni šimerasti lak.

počela sam sa dva sloja laka, bez nadlaka, ali sam ujutro i na direktnom suncu shvatila da imam poneko ćelavo mesto, pa sam dodala još jedan sloj o nadlak. formula i čestkica su tipičnog opi kvaliteta i jednostavni za korišćenje.

i always had mixed feelings about this polish. it looks interesting in a bottle, but even though i really don't care if a color suits me as long as i like it, i was scared that this one will make me look lake an old lady, but it looks like it didn't!


the color is so difficult to explain. to me, it's mostly rosey mauve, but it can look like plum, purple, pink and even brown. gold shimmer is dominant, but there is also a variety of shimmery particles in it. the finish is also a bit tricky to describe, it is not an obvious foil, but it's not a simple shimmery polish either.

i started with two coats without a topcoat, but in the morning and direct sunlight, i saw some bald spots so decided on adding another layer plus topcoat. formula and brush are of typical opi quality and easy to work with.

moj prvi lak nakon pauze je take the stage. ispalo je sasvim slučajno da je i moj prethodni opi post bio iz burlesque kolekcije za praznike 2010. našla sam ga u korpici za 500 din na sajmu kozmetike, tako da se nadam da sad mogu da precrtam deutch ya want me, baby sa liste želja..

my first polish after a few weeks break is take the stage. this happened randomly, but my last opi post was also from the burlesque collection for 2010 holidays. it was in the less than 5€ basket in belgrade cosmetics fair, and now i only hope that this means i can cross deutch ya want me, baby from wl.

  opijev opis "narandžasti šimer stvoren za reflektore" (slobodan prevod :))

možda ste već primetili da baš volim ove zagorela pomoranža-bakarne šimere, iako je najveći deo komentara posle postova o njima kako vam ovakve nijanse baš i ne leže. da budem potpuno iskrena, nisam ubeđena da ove boje na meni stoje spektakularno, ali ih ipak obožavam.


ovaj lepotan ima neki unutrašnji sjaj, i kada je izložen direktnom suncu, zlatni mikrošimer baš dolazi do izražaja. formula je malo ređa nego obično, ali ništa što bi bilo problematično.

koristila sam bazu (opi start to finish) + dva sloja laka + top coat (essence better than gel nails top sealer fast dry).

you may have noticed, but i am a big fan of those burnt orange, coppery shimmers, even though the majority of the comments after those posts is about how they're not really the reader's cup of tea. to be perfectly honest, i'm not sure that these polishes look particularly good on me, but i love them nonetheless

this baby has an amazing glow to it, and when it's under the direct light, the golden microshimmer looks really sparkly. the formula is a bit thin, though, but noting unmanageable.

i used base (opi start to finish) + two layers of polish + top coat (essence better than gel nails top sealer fast dry).

od trenutka kad su se pojavile prve slike holiday joy kolekcije, uzdisala sam za bbr, ali, kad sam skonačno uzela bočicu u ruke, moram priznati da sam bila razočarana. izgledao je previše srebrno, sa samo trunkom plave, ništa nije ličilo na onu boju sa slika. ali, kad sam ga namazala, ostala sam raspamećena!

china glaze stvarno zna da pravi neobične plave lakove. ovaj mi je upao u kategoriju fantastičnih, gde se već nalaze blue iguana i frostbite. električno-plava baza je ispunjena srbernim folijastim šimerom, koji mu daje metalik izgled. na noktima je stvarno fantastičan, što slike samo delimično prikazuju. ovaj lak je definitivno jednoslojac, drugi sam dodala iz navike ali stvarno nije bio potreban. formula je malo gušća, ali je lako raditi sa njom.

i've been drooling over bbr swatches ever since first pictures of holiday joy emerged, but when i finally got the bottle, i was utterly underwhelmed. it looked too silvery with only a hint of blue, nothing like the swatches. but, when i put it on my nails, i was amazed!

china glaze really knows how to make blue polishes with a twist. this one falls in the amazing category, together with blue iguana and frost bite. it is electric blue packed with silver foil shimmer, giving it a metallic look. it looks so amazing, the pictures don't do it credit! it is definitely a one coater, i added the second but it really wasn't necessary. the formula is on the thicker side, but it is easy to work with .

opi kaže da ova "mistično-zelena kalajna nijansa zahteva pažnju". moram priznati da do sad nisam znala za nijansu kalaja :D ja ga vidim kao plavičastog brata the world is not enough, i podjednako nezgodnog za opisivanje. boja je hladna čelično plavo-srebrno-siva sa raznobojnim staklastim šimerom, uglavnom zlatnim, roze, zelenim i plavim.
nije previše pigmentovan i potrebna su mu tri sloja, opet kao kod njegovog blatnjavijeg brata, ali se pokrivenost i boja lepo nadograđuju.

dosta devojaka se žalilo na čudnjikav miris, ali moj je imao tipični miris običnog laka.

opi says that "this misty-green pewter commands attention." i see it as the world is not enough's bluish brother, and similarly difficult to describe. it is a cool toned steel blue-pewter-silver-grey polish with multicolored glass flecks, namely gold, pink, green, and blue.


it is rather sheer and needs three coats, again as its taupe brother :D, but the opacity and color build up nicely.


many girls said that it has a weird smell, but i didn't notice it with my bottle.

ne znam zašto sam zapostavljala  catrice purplelized, mislim da sam ga nosila  samo jednom od kad sam ga kupila pre godinu dana (a tad je negde i povučen). baš propust, jer je lak predivan!

i have no idea why i've been putting catrice's purplelized aside, i think i wore it only once since i bought it a year ago (and it's been discontinued for a while), and it's a shame because this polish is gorgeous!

 iako ima reč "ljubičasto" u imenu, ovo nije tipična ljubičasta, više je mešavina sa patlidžan nijansom i srebrnom. lak je prepun srebrnkastog šimera, koji može da izglea i plavo i rozikasto, u zavisnosti od ugla i svetlosti, i koji mu daje skoro metalik završnicu.

sad kad gledam slike, čini mi se da bi ovaj lak odlično izgledao matiran, ali sad je kasno da to isprobam. pošto je iz stare catrice linije, ima odličnu četkicu i solidnu formulu, što daje dodatne pluseve ovom laku.

even though it has a word "purple" in the name, this is not a typical purple shade. it's more of a purple-eggplant-silver mixture, packed with silvery shimmer that can look blue or pink, depending on the light and angle and it gives it almost a metallic look.

now that i'm looking at the pictures, i think it would look amazing with matte top coat, but that didn't occur to me when i wore the polish. since it is from the old catrice line, it has amazing brush and a solid formula, making this polish really special.
