china glaze long kiss (under the mistletoe)

china glaze's long kiss originally came from under the mistletoe collection for holidays 2008, but made a comeback in their sealed with a kiss collection in 2011.

i really have problems swatching polishes like long kiss, which is why it took it so long for it to appear on the blog. sunshine makes them washed out completely, and the photos are much more faithful in the shade/but not to shady conditions.

nevertheless, it is a berry red metallic polish, pretty and nice, but nothing spectacular in the plethora of similar ones. i got it so long ago and i would probably give it a pass now, especially since my brush preferences lie with the wide ones. that doesn't mean that this polish isn't good, with very decent formula and coverage, just that it doesn't stand out in the sea of deep red shimmers.

shade:

essence time for romance (color and go 72)

well, essence time for romance from their original color and go collection, might just be the oldest polish i never swatch in my collection (but i am half afraid that something older may pop out).

i have no idea how this came to happen, because this time i basically used up all the last drops of polish. it appeared in their first color and go edition, somewhere back in 2011, but it made a reappearance in their revamped color and go collection in a new bottle.

it is a wine red jelly base with some rosy hexagonal and tiny glitter. it was well pigmented, the glitter didn't sink and you didn't need to chase it in the bottle. it was a bit gooey and prone to shrinking, as you can see from my tips. nevertheless, it was a very fun polish.

i had the urge to finish the year off with a red polish, and which better than percival from the awesome a england the mythicals collection back in 2011.

percival je vrlo blizak duplikat butter london knees up. u svakom slučaju, fantastična šimerasta metalik crvena, sa onim specijalnim sjajem iznutra.

okačila sam više slika nego obično jer ovaj lak izgleda još bolje u senci nego na suncu. u kombinaciji sa savršenom formulom i četkicom, pravi je pobednik!

percival is a real close dupe to butter london knees up. nevertheless, a beyond gorgeous shimmery metallic red, with this glow within type of look.

i have more photos than usual, because this polish looks even better in shade than in the sun. and combined with an awesome formula and brush, it's a winner!

china glaze vintage vixen je fantastična kolekcija iz jeseni 2010. imam nekoliko lakova, i konačno je vreme došlo da pokažem foxy.

china glaze's vintage vixen is a really awesome collection back in the autumn of 2010. i have a couple of bottles and finally the time has come to show off foxy.

interesantno, foxy mi je jedan od prvih china glaze lakova a dobio je šansu tek sad.

u pitanju je nekako zagorela crvena/tamno narandžasta nijansa, savršena za jesen. šimer je bogat i formula glatka i fina.

it is kind of a burned red, dark orange sort of shade, perfect for autumn. the shimmer is rich and formula smooth and nice.

zaista ne znam kako je moguće da još nisam napravila post o every month is oktoberfest iz opi-jeve germany kolekcije, ali to konačno menjam.

lak je zaista pravo sevršestvo. prelepa tamna ljubičasto/crvena baza sa bogatim zlatnim i crvenim šimerom. tako je vamp i lep i stvarno obavezan lak u svačijoj kolekciji, kakve god nijanse da uobičajeno nosite.

every month is oktoberfest (emio) is already a legendary polish and there are so many posts written about it that i am really stuck now.

it is stunningly gorgeous. a dark, purplish/red base with rich red and gold shimmer. it is so rich and vampy and pretty and a definitive must have in any girl's collection, whatever her colour preferences.

malice je bio jedini lak u chanel holiday kolekciji za 2012.

malice was the only polish in chanel's holiday collection for 2012.

 

imala sam ludu sreću da nabavim ovaj lak. ova bočica je bila bukvalno poslednja u srbiji, i dobila sam je posle grupne akcije mojih dragih lakoholičarki.

malice je zaista savršen lak za praznike. duboka bordo-crvena, puna rubin-crvenog šimera, topi srce čak i neljubitelja crvenih lakova u koje spadam i ja. izgleda bogato, i uz odličnu formulu, ima posebno mesto u mojoj kolekciji.

i was so lucky to get this polish. i literally got the last bottle in serbia, thanks to the group effort of my dear nail polish girls crew.

it truly is a perfect polish for holidays. a deep burgundy red, filled with ruby red shimmer, it even melts the hearts of red antifans like myself. it looks rich, with a great formula, and i'm really happy i have it in my stash.

ysl rouge dada (core 6)

vreme je za jednu klasičnu nijansu, ysl rouge dada iz osnovne kolekcije.

it's time for another classic shade, ysl rouge dada from the core collection.

boja ovog laka je vrlo čudna. u senci izgleda kako krvavo crvena. dok pod svetlom izgleda skoro ciklamasto. ovo se vidi i na slikama: nokat na malom prstu izgleda dosta tamnije jer je u ovom položaju najudaljeniji od svetla, iako svi nokti izgledaju isto uživo. (nosila sam ovaj lak tri puta, i ovaj efekat se uvek javljao).

formula je dobra, ali pošto je više crelly nego čista krema, potrebna su tri sloja za potpunu pokrivenost.

prirodna svetlost:

this polish's colour is really strange. in the shade it's one of those bloody reds, while it looks almost like a fuchsia in the light. this is also visible in the pictures: the pinky is always furthest from the light in this position, and it looks darker even though all the nails look the same in real life  (had this polish on 3 times already, and always had the same effect on pictures).

formula is really good, but it is more of a crelly than a creme, so it needs three coats for opacity.

opi tapestry (designer series 29)

danas pokazujem tapestry, jedan stariji lak iz opi designer series kolekcije.

i am showing one of the older opi designer series polishes, tapestry.

opi designer series mi je dugo bila slaba tačka, jer do ne toliko davno nije bilo lako dokopati se holo laka.

tapestry je nijansa koju mi je teško opisati (crvene boje su mi problematične.) crveni ton preovlađuje, ali ima dosta roze pa čak i narandžastih podtonova. formula je odlična.

prirodna svetlost:

i had a soft spot for opi's designer series, since back in the days there was not that many holos.

tapestry is a soft shade with a colour that is hard to explain (well, for me, reds are problematic). it's mostly a red shade, with a lot of pink and even orangey undertones. formula is really nice.

a england rose bower (burnes jones dream)

danas prikazujem još jedan a england lak rose bower is burnes jones dream kolekcije.

today i am showing yet another a england polish, rose bower from burnes jones dream collection.

na blogu su već bila tri laka iz ove kolekcije, briar rose,  briarwood i fated prince, i svima je zajednička prelepa, puna boja (u slučaju rose bower, brusnica crvena)i rasejani holo efekat uz prepoznatljivi a england stil koji daje osećaj da lak sija iznutra.

formula je kao i uvek fantastična, i lak je toliko lep da sam bila u čudu da mogu da toliko uživam noseći crveni lak!

prirodna svetlost:

i already showed three polishes from this collection, briar rose,  briarwood and fated prince, and they all have a similar pattern: a gorgeous, deep colour (in the case of rose bower, a cranberry red) with the scattered holo effect that gives the "inner glow effect", that a england produces beautifully.

formula is amazing as usual, and the polish itself is so pretty that i was shocked that i can enjoy a red one so much!

dance legend learning to fly (wow prism)

jedna od meni najzanimljivijih kolekcija je wow prism od dance legend, i danas predstavljam learning to fly.

one of my favourite collections ever is dance legend's wow prism, and today i'm showing learning to fly.

learning to fly je netipična boja, kombinacija crvene, roze i breskvaste, u zavisnosti od svetlosti i ugla. poput danger danger! iz iste kolekcije, u pitanju je rasejani holo koji izgleda nekako 3D, sa holo česticama koje su više ljuspičaste.

formula je odlična i suši se glatko. takođe, svaki put kad ga nosim zapevam learn to fly od foo fighters. definitivno ću uzeti još lakova iz ove kolekcije.

learning to fly is a really strange colour, a combination of red, pink and peach, depending on the angle and light. like danger danger! from the same collection, it has a scattered holo, that looks somehow 3D , with holo particles being more flakes than particles.

the formula is great, and it dries smoothly. it also reminded my of a foo fighters' song, learn to fly. i will definitively get more polishes from this collection.

zoya tosca (classics)

tosca je jedan od starih zoya lakova. teško je naći iz koje je kolekcije potekla, ali je sada deo njihove klasične kolekcije.

tosca is one of the zoya oldies, it hard to pin it's original collection, but now it is a part of their classics.

uvek zaboravim na ovaj lak tokom turobnih dana, ali ga se naprasno setim čim krene sunce.

rekla bih da je najbolji opis boje jagoda crvena sa malo koralne u sebi. u bočici šimer izgleda dosta gust, ali na noktima je suptilan. formula je takođe solidna, tako da je ovaj lak odličan prolećno/letnji izbor.

i always forget about this polish during the gloomy days, but remember it the second the sun starts.

i believe that the strawberry red with the touch of coral is the best colour description. shimmer looks really dense in the bottle, but it is subtle on the nails. the formula is also nice, a real spring/summer treat.

ysl rouge pop art

imam osećaj da sam u poslednje vreme kačila uglavnom tamne lakove, i imala sam potrebu da pokažem nešto živahnije. ysl rouge pop art je bio idealan izbor.

it seems that lately i'm publishing only dark polishes, and i felt like i need something more lively. what better choice than ysl rouge pop art.

nisam neki kolekcionar crvenih lakova, ali povremeno osetim potrebu da nosim crveno na noktima. rouge pop art uvek uspeva da me oraspoloži. po meni je to crvena sa idealnim balansom plavih i narandžastih podtonova.

formula je skoro pa crelly (i krema i jelly). iako je dobra pokrivenost, ako imate duže i pogmentovane vrhove noktiju, oni će biti vidljivi. meni to ipak ne smeta, čak mi nekako izgleda još simpatičnije i svežije. formula je uobičajeno dobra.

i am not a red nail polish hoarder, but from time to time i get the urge to wear red on my nails. and rouge pop art always manages to cheer me up. i believe that it is a red with a perfect balance of orange and blue undertones.

it is a borderline crelly. although the coverage is good, if you have longer and more pigmented nails, the tips will be visible. i don't mind it  though, for some reason it feels even more cute and fresh. it s well formulated, as usual.

iako nisam započela novu godinu sa crvenim lakom, rešila sam da moj prvi post bude takav. picture polish bridget iz opulence kolekcije je odličan izbor za to.

even though i didn't start the year with a red polish, i decided that my first post will be a red. and what could be better than picture polish bridget from the opulence collection.

već sam prikazala darcy i lizzie, pa ja pravi trenutak da zaokružim priču sa modernim delom ove gordost i predrasude/bridget jones kombinacije.

bridget je lak koji mi je stvarno falio u koleciji. nije tako lako naći pravi crveni rasejani holo lak, obično povuku na rozikasto ili bordo. na sreću, ovaj je prava, zasićena, pelepa crvena odlične formule.

i already showed darcy and lizzie,  so it is about time to bring out the modern part of this pride and prejudice/bridget jones mash up.

bridget is a polish i really searched for. the real red scattered holo polishes are not that usual, they often lean more on the pinkish or burgundy side. and this one is a real, saturated, gorgeous red with an amazing formula.

ysl piment d'ailleurs (spicy)

vreme je za još jedno ysl savršenstvo, ovaj put je to piment d'ailleurs iz spicy kolekcije za proleće 2014.

it's time for yet another ysl perfection, this time it is piment d'ailleurs from the spicy collection from spring 2014.

moguće je da konačno odrastam (ili, ako pitate moju majku, počinjem da se ponašam u skladu sa svojim godinama), ne tako davno, verovatno se ne bih ni okrenula za ovakvom nijansom, a sad sam zaljubljena.

mislim da izgleda stvarno elegantno. nisam neki ekspert za crvene lakove, ali ovaj je tamno, višnjasto crven. savršena, buterasta krema, baš onakva kakvom me je ysl razmazio.

i might be growing up (or, if you ask my mother, starting to behave my own age). not that long ago, i might not even consider wearing a colour like this, and now i'm in love.


i think it really looks classy. i'm not much of an expert in red polishes, but i would call this a crimson red. perfect, buttery creme, just the type ysl spoiled me on.

a england briar rose (burne-jones dream)

every day is a good day for an a england holo, and today i'm presenting briar rose from the burne-jones dream collection.

after briarwood and fated prince, i am showing another gorgeous scattered a england holo, briar rose, better kown as sleeping beauty.

the shade is somewhere between red and purple, filled with tiny holo particles that give it a misty, gorgeous look. with the outstanding formula and application, this is definitely another a england's gems.

natural light:

i used base (china glaze strong adhesion) + two layers of polish + top coat (essence btgnts).

zoya chyna (pixie dust)

posle beatrix, liberty i vespa, vreme je za još jedan prelepi zoya pixie dust lak. u pitanju je chyna iz kolekcije za zimu 2013.

after beatrix, liberty and vespa, it's time for another gorgeous zoya's pixie dust shade, this time it's chyna from the winter 2013 collection.

skoro da sam preskočila ovaj lak i uzela sam ga tek u drugoj turi. mislila sam da, pošto je crven, nema šanse da će me oduševiti i grdno sam se prevarila!

lak je zaista prelep. bazna boja je bogata, tamno crvena koja se suši u teksturnu završnicu, sa svetlocrvenim šljokicama i sjajem koji prosto iskače iz baze. može da prođe kao jednoslojac, ali sam po navici namazala dva. formula i aplikacija su odlični, i suši se prilično brzo.

i almost skipped this one and got it in the second round. i thought, well, it's red, it's not like i'm going to be amazed by it. oh, how was i wrong!

this polish is super stunning. base colour is rich, dark red that dries into the textured finish, with light red glitter and sparkle that just pops out of it. it can be pulled off as a one coater, but i did two out of habit. formula and application are great, and drying time really fast!

u nekom tenutku sam shvatila da mi fali jaki, dobro pigmentovani malinasti holo lak i odmah sam znala da treba da ga tražim u dance legend ponudi. nije mi trebalo dugo da shvatim da je danger danger upravo ono što sam želela!

moram da pohvalim dance legend holo lakove, bilo da su rasejani poput ovog ili linearni kao android, i verujem da će i sledeći put biti moj izbor.

at some point i realized i'm missing a bright, but saturated raspberry red holo, and i immediately knew that i should search for it among the dance legend collections. it didn't take me long to realize that danger danger is exactly what i was looking for!

i'm really impressed with dance legend holos, whether they are scattered as this one, ore linear like android, and i guess i'll always turn to them for this types of polishes.

ysl rouge pablo (spring 2014)

today's star is ysl rouge pablo, part of their spring duo but promoted to the core line.

honestly, i wouldn't even look at this poslish if it was another brand. but, since ysl polishes are my true loves, i keep an open mind for every bottle they release.

i actually felt great wearing this. it's a very vibrant red with a strong pink undertone, but with my skintone, it goes more fuchsia then red. as usual, this is a perfect, buttery creme, amazing formula!

chanel rouge moire (rouge allure moiré)

rouge moire je deo chanel-ove mini jesenje kolekcije, rouge allure moiré. preskočila sam njegovog parnjaka, rose moire, jer nije moja boja.

rouge moire is a part of chanel's mini autumn collection, rouge allure moiré. i only got this one, because rose moire is not my cup of tea.

ako ćemo iskreno, ovaj lak je lep, ali bih preživela i bez njega. ne žalim što sam ga uzela, samo, zbog ovakvih nijansi mi srce nikad nije posočilo.

nijansu je najbolje opisati kao biserno crvenom. u pitanju je hladna, malinasta crvena sa rozikastim šimerom koji izbija na površinu kao neki tanki, dodatni sloj. ima blago metalni finiš. formula i pokrivenost su ok, potezi četkicom mogu biti vidljivi, ali ne preterano. imajte u vidu da sam zaboravila da stavim nadlak, tako da su mogli biti i neprimetniji.

to be completely honest, this polish is pretty, but i would survive without it. i don't regret buying it, it's just that these shades don't really make my heart beat faster.

the shade is best described as pearly red. it is a cool, berry red with a pinkish shimmer that goes over it like a thin coat, and really pops out in the sun. it has a slight metallic feel to it. the formula and opacity are ok, there is a little bit of visible brushstrokes, but nothing too crazy. bear in mind, i forgot to put the top coat, so they could've been evened out by it.

danas, neočekivano, predstavljam jedan povučen catrice lak, marylin & me.

today, unexpectedly, i'm showing one of the catrice oldies, marylin & me.

desilo se sledeće - namazala sam ovaj lak u nedelju posle posla, nosila ga u ponedeljak, bila potpuno nezadovoljna slikama, izbrisala ih, skinula lak u juče po poslu, standardno namazala nokte lemony flutter-om i pustila da ga upiju. krenula sam da vratim očišćenu bočicu u kutiju, i po prvi put u životu, bočica mi je ispala. pošto ovi postdok stanovi nemaju tepihe, bočica se razbila u milion delova i crveno se slivalo svuda. čišćenje je potrajalo, ali sam rešila da ono malo laka što je preostalo iskoristim da ga opet namažem za poslednju priliku da ga uslikam.

iskreno rečeno, lak je već bio u donjoj trećini bočice. kupila sam ga pre nekoliko godina kad je bila nestašica china glaze ruby pumps, i rešila da rp ne kupujem dok ovog ne potrošim. zbog toga sam ga relativno često mazala.

po meni, ovaj lak je potpuno novogodišnje-božićni. pošto je formula jelly (prava crvena sa šimerom i šljokicama), uvek sam nosila tri sloja, pa nije ni čudo što se brzo trošio. sad kad je ostatak u korpi za smeće, čini mi se da mi je bio draži nego što sam mislila. ako ništa drugo, sad mogu da kupim ruby pumps :)

the thing is, i applied this polish on sunday after work, wore it on monday, was completely unhappy with photos, deleted them, removed it yesterday after work, regularly applied lemony flutter and let it soak. i cleaned the bottle, went to put it back in the box, and for the first time in my life, dropped it. since these postdoc apartments are carpetless, the bottle broke into million pieces, red spilling everywhere. it took me a while to clean up, and decided to use the little polish that remained to re-apply it for it's last possibility of being photographed.

to be honest, the polish was in the last third of the bottle. i bought this one a few years back, since there was shortage on china glaze ruby pumps, and than decided that i couldn't buy rp until i finish this one, so i would wear it every once in a while.

there is something christmasy in this red jelly with shimmer and glitter. since it is a jelly, i always wore three coats, so it's no wonder i used up so much. now that the remainder is in the trash can, i feel like i liked it more than i knew. oh, well, it seems it's time to buy that china glaze :)
