picture polish honey dew (limited edition)

spring is here, and it's time for fresh shades. honey dew is a really old picture polish shade from 2009.

i am very happy i own honey dew, even though i am on the verge of having too many mint polishes (if that is even possible!)

honey dew is such a vibrant pastel mint, on the verge of becoming neon. on top of being gorgeous, it has a great formula, especially for a pastel polish. definitely a perfect spring/summer shade!

i used base (china glaze strong adhesion) + two layers of polish + top coat (essence btgnts).

ova nijansa je prosto fantastična. prava živahna i bistra mint plava sa malčice više zelene nego što moje slike pokazuju, izgleda da je ovo jedna od onih nijansi koje izgledaju drugačije na različitoj vrsti tena, ali na meni je baš mint plav.

formula je odlična, mlečna krema koja se savršeno maže, prosto vrišti proleće i sunce!

prirodna svetlost:

this shade is pure awesomeness! it is a bright, vivid minty blue with a tad more green tone than in my photos. it seems to be one of those shades that look differently on different skin tones, but this is how it looks on mine.

it is a perfect, milky creme with perfect application. it simply screams spring and sun!

kiko lattementa (or mint milk, 389)

danas je na tapetu moj jedini kiko lak, lattementa (poznat i pod imenom mint milk) iz njihove osnovne kolekcije.

today i am showing my only kiko polish, lattementa (also known as mint milk) from their core collection.

lattementa je bio moj omiljeni lak ovog leta, i mislim da nikad nisam dobila toliko komplimenata za lak kao za njega.

mislim da je i očigledno zašto je tako. u pitanju je prelep mint lak, živ i očaravajuć. formula je malo gušča, ali samoizjednačujuća. čak i da nije dobra, ovakva nijansa bi bila vredna i malo muke. pošto mi je toliko drag, malo ću da preteram sa slikama.

prirodna svetlost:

lattementa was my go to polish this summer. i think i never gor as many compliments for a polish as for this one.

and it doesn't take much wondering why. it is simply a stunning mint polish, bright and captivating. formula is a bit thick, but self leveling. even if it wasn't good, it would be worth it. since i love it so much, i am going to overdo it with photos, so bear with me.

illamasqua nomad (human fundamentalism)

can't believe that i have swatches of illamasqua's nomad (from their 2012. human fundamentalism collection) that i made a year ago. somehow, always something else got the priority, but i think it's about time to show it off.

illamasqua is known for their bold collections and advertisement. unfortunately, they became available to me as i was leaving my previous country, so i didn't really get the chance to explore them too much. nevertheless, nomad was my first choice since it really was an unique shade in my collection.

to me, this polish is completely illogical. the shade is a tad too green to be really mint. they describe it as "bright jade" and i have to agree. it is a creme, but somehow pastel and glossy at the same. i'm sure there are dupes (picture polish jade looks similar enough to me), but i'm kind of hooked on this one. also, it is waaay more vivid than in the promo picture.

dior waterlilly (garden party 2011)

posle fudbalske pauze, danas uspeh da nađem vremena za blog, ali sledi još jedna pauza jer idem na put.

star of the day is dior's waterlilly, from the garden party collection for spring 2011.

kada je ova kolekcija izašla, još uvek nisam bila u high end lakoholičarskim vodama, ali mi je brzo postalo jasno da mi je žao što sam propustila waterlilly. na sreću, prošlog leta sam ulovila usamljenu, zalutalu bočicu.

nijansa je više pastelna i mint od mojih često zastupljenih zelembaća, ali je baš to i čini više jedinstvenom u mojoj neverovatno zelenoj kolekciji. mikrošimer je prelep i gušći nego obično, čineći završnicu skoro iridescentnom. volim ovaj lak, baš je nekako prolećni.

when this collection came out, i still wasn't into high end nailpolishes, but i quickly realized i really wanted this one. luckily, last year i managed to find one lonely bottle!

it is more pastel and minty than my typically favourite green shades, but this is what makes it unique in my overwhelmingly green stash. the microshimmer is gorgeous and denser than usually, making it almost iridescent. i really love this one, it so springy and fun!

ilamasqua - mottle (I'mperfection)

pošto je illamasqua skoro stigla u moj grad ("moj" još koju nedelju), i i'mperfection kolekcija je bila među standardnom ponudom, morala sam da uzmem nešto. favoriti su mi bili mottle i fragile, i jedva sam se odlučila za ovog drugog, ali je već bio rasprodat pa sam uzela poslednju bočicu mottle!

since illamasqua recently arrived in my city (well, mine for a few more weeks), and the i'mperfection collection was available, i had to get one. my favourites were mottle and fragile, i finally decided on latter but it was sold out so i took the last mottle!

ova kolekcija je inspirisana šarama na ptičjim jajima. mnogo volim ovaj lak i postao je mi je jedan od dražih u kolekciji. bazna boja je pastelna, skoro pa mint zelena, sa crnim šljokicama različitih oblika (okrugli i šestougaoni) i veličina. sviđa mi se ovaj pegavi efekat, posebno zbog dubine bazne boje.

iako je šljokičav, formula mu je fantastična, bez ikakvih problema u nanošenju. pošto nemam ni na šta da se požalim, prelazim na slike!

this collection was inspired by birds' eggs. i love this polish, it really holds a special place in my collection. the base is pastel, almost mint green creme, with black glitter in various shapes (round and hex) and sizes. i love this speckled effect, but also the depth of the base colour.

even though it's glittery polish, the formula was superb, no problems with applications, i really have nothing to complain about, so on to the pictures!

essence - mojito green (soul sista le)

za današnji tematski petak treba da predstavimo naš omiljeni prolećni lak. zvuči čudno, ali od samog početka sam znala da će to biti savršeni mojito green iz essence soul sista kolekcije od prošlog proleća.

today's topic for our theme friday is "favourite spring polish". weirdly, from the start i had only one polish in mind and that's insanely beautiful mojito green, from the essence's soul sista le collection from last spring.

ima nešto u ovom laku što čini da poželim da ga čuvam do večnosti :D on je savršena jako zelena nijansa koja naginje ka mintu, i uživo je za par nijansi zeleniji nego na slikama. ne samo da je nijansa savršena, ali ima i predivan zlatkasti šimer u tačno pravoj količini: dovoljno da se vidi pri svakom osvetljenju ali i ne i toliko da dominira.

iako od početka polušavam da mu nađem dupe, jer se iskreno bojim trenutka kada ću videti dno ovoj bočici, ali ne ide. slični lakovi su ili previše zeleni ili previše mint; ili bez šimera ila sa previše istog (poput depend 227). žao mi je da nisam uspela da uhvatim apsolutno vernu nijansu, jer imam utisak da je baš ta kap ili dve zelene, to što ovaj lak izdvaja od mnogih sličnih. ko zna, možda u budućnosti i nađem neki kojim ću biti zadovoljna.

there is something about this polish that makes me want to save it for the whole eternity :D. it a gorgeous green-leaning mint, that is a bit greener in real life than in the pictures. apart from the insanely pretty color, it has gorgeous golden shimmer in just the right amount, enough to be visible even in shade but not too overwhelming.


i tried so hard to find a dupe for it, since i'm scared of the moment when the bottle becomes empty, but other polishes are either too minty or too green, or without shimmer or with too much of it (like depend 227). i'm really sad that i couldn't capture the exact shade, because i think that this additional drop of two of green are what makes this polish vibrant and amazing. oh, well, maybe i'll find something that can compare in the future.
